While I'm not from Macau, my grandmother is, and I've been there many times. I have a special affection for Macau. Watching your video brought back so many memories. Thank you for sharing.
Great video! Macau is so beautiful and the people are so friendly and the color of the city is just breathtaking. That hotel was so elegant and so full of history..thank you Flora for the tour..Great you had company to see the sights. It’s busy but it has a good vibe all around ,people are just happy in general. It’s changed since I was there in 2015 lots of more casinos…Saw the back of Saint Paul’s church too and like Note I was surprised nobody looked from that angle.. Hope you both have a Merry Christmas and looking forward to your next adventure!! Loved that cute store where Note didn’t share his food..Too funny…😃
What a beautiful/interesting looking room and view. This hotel is a must see (or stay) on to itself! Such nice building and architecture, I love seeing that because where I live is very limited. As far as I can see the food scene is a must, looks very tasty. Thank you for another beautiful vlog!
What a great and interesting exploration in Macau/Ou Mun(Cantonese) ! It's always wonderflo to tag along with you both....love the snacks and food there. Great video and thanks for sharing, floraandnote.
Portuguese architectural heritage in Asia, Portuguese cuisine, and staying at Sammy's privately owned, discreet, and anonymous hotels in the Old Town are what I enjoy most about Macau. I have always wanted to establish myself firmly in Macau but have never managed to secure a maintenance engineering job there, despite my attempts. The yearly race was my favorite event to visit while living in Zhuhai. I just love Macau.
The Las Vegas of Asia! I’ve always been fascinated by Macau and the hotel you stayed in was absolutely stunning! What a fun way to mix in history and extravagant casinos! Cant wait to visit some day! 🇲🇴
Flora and Note I'm so happy you both done a new in video in Macau. I'm black American, but I love Hong Kong food and culture. Hope you both do a Christmas episode as well Flora and Note.
I visited Macau twice .I love Macau, its food, its people ..... I can tell you it is great! It is less crowded than Hong Kong. People in Macau helpful and friendly when I asked the way to certain places.
Amazing video. You are such a great ambassador for Macau! I always visit HK, and to be honest when visiting HK; HK is always the main attraction. Macau for some reason is always on of those “side quest” that you always WANT to do, but seem to always talk your way OUT of going or something else comes up. Whether it be Shenzhen or Guangzhou, Macau always seems like the one losing out on most of my visits. I think the time crunch for most people (2 week holidays) seem to always put a place like Macau at a disadvantage. I’ve been to Macau 4-5 times in my life and they were always for day trips. We do the typical casino run, egg tart and beef jerky run, visit the cathedral… then it’s off to the boat to go back to HK for dinner. I think logistically, it’s tough for most to do. I’m glad Flora is able to show the micro details of small shops and eateries off the beaten path in Macau. My visits there were very similar to their early visits of hitting the casino and all the popular tourist spots squeezed into a 5-6 hour visit. Perhaps next time I’ll do the opposite, I’ll do more exploring and explore what Macau has to offer outside of the touristy spots. It’s videos like this that open up eyes to the typical Macau visitor that’s there more than what’s on the surface in Macau.
I also just came back from Macau having visited my relatives residing there. I stayed nearby Guanye Street. Our older generations Malaysian Chinese who watched TVB's Jade Solid Gold regularly in the '90s may know your kind tour guide from the duo band Soler. 😂
Hi Flora and Note, I was wondering if you can recommend an area in beijing to stay that would offer us good walkability without feeling like we are in times square if you know what I mean. I saw a nice river walking area but idk where that is, not sure if you are familiar
We haven’t explored Beijing yet so we don’t have recommendations. But our friends 2Passports1Dream were there and made a few videos, you can check them out 😊
15:46 They authorized their recipes to KFC mainland China, and after went to Macau in that queue, it’s totally not worth the wait😂😂😂 no difference between them and KFC China hahah😂😂

Interesting. A restaurant owner Auntie in Sydney Chinatown once told me Macau is better to live in than HK. (She's from Macau though!)
just before the pandemic i went to the so called Macau of the US vegas but honestly i like macau more. Vegas doesnt just a bit more boring

Buses (traffic generally) aren't great peak hours. Streets are narrow. Should plan travel ahead.

The hotel central is a very old hotel but it have recently been renovated. Quite nice though.
They did a great job, it looks fresh yet historic still.
15:46 They authorized their recipes to KFC mainland China, and after went to Macau in that queue, it’s totally not worth the wait😂😂😂 no difference between them and KFC China hahah😂😂
How time flies. Julio is so much older than I remember. It's a pleasant surprise to see him.
It’s actually 先苦後甜 cause in life it’s always bitter before you see the sweet in life
Depends on how you choose 😆

What is the name of the restaurant you ate with julian and carol?
I’ve pinned all the places in the video description box 😊
Casa Maquista, in Taipa, near the Carmo Church.
好耐冇見 Julio, 仍然咁有型。❤
He sure is 😆👍
