    Lmfao. Me and my mate had a setup almost the same. Nodding our heads with the beats. Atari was simple and easy to use so left you to be creative. It was on or off for tracks through midi. Effects box and akai s3000 with Roland mother keyboard. Loved those days. Would loose hours and hours. Sometimes all day. Thanks for the vid it brought back great memories..... Oh great rifts too.👌👌👌

    just postet a video of the Atari ST Series on my channel, showing, that especially for musicians its still unbeatable in MIDI timing and also some software is still a nice source for creativity. switching it on after decades was no problem at all and i have a secure feeling of technical stability i need as a musician :-) thanks for posting your vid

    yep...Falcon even better !! Jean michelle Jarre used to use the for his mega open air concerts.....as midi for music...and for the 3d projections on to buildings !
    i used to do layered 1 bar loops on repeat (the advent style)...on cubase. Those were the days of great rocking loops...and lots of musical "clamping down"...due to lack of hands on realtime changes to sound or ritmics..... made so easy now thanks to drum machines/synths....(the esx is doing it for me big time anyway.)

    Hey... wicked setup man, only one complaint: too much view of your shorts and not enough of that Fabulous Scully 280! (I was actually searching precisely that). My friend used ta have the 1040ST running cubase and we made some cool stuff.
    Keep it alive man (the equipment), nice riff, by the way.

    Love the stabs and chords. Do I see a JD990 and JV1080? ;) ...How do you like em? I just picked up 2 JDs (1 with Vintage board and the other with the 60s&70s board) because I loved the sample demos on synthmania. Loved the sounds so much that I replaced my recently sold J60, M1000, TX81Z and ESQ1. Hope I made a good decision, lol. Sold em all to slim-down, stream-line, simplify and minimize my set-up. My 2 JDs will be my only synth/keyboard sound source ;)

    Hi check /push-records , /nativ on Soundcloud! Also using Atari ST with Cubase Midex+ Juno106/YamahaMU128/Casio VZ-1.
    Nice video, hope to upload some myself soon. I always wondered with Notator if you can set patterns to respond to keygroups? Or is that only possible in KCS Omega?

    Really cool vid man ! Can you tell me how do you process your kicks with eq as general rule ?do you notch the mid to let the power of low and high cut through ? around which frequency ? or do you keep the bass drum untouched with a touch of compression maybe ? many thanks

  • @Edgar-M
    @Edgar-M 11 лет назад

    Ya..well, not really "for"..I sold them because I needed money to move and am broke. Actually sold one of the JDs too; so I actually only have 1 synth now, just 1 JD. I still want another JD or JV, and the TX again (since it's so cheap yet awesome), and maybe another analog Roland again (not the J60 tho, that things too much nowadays). But, I gotta say, that I really dig the JD, more so than all my other synths except a real analog/J60 for bass, of course.

    When I listen to a track I often have these other little things going on in my head, little bits of things from Detroit. There’s nothing commercial or marketable about Detroit. Driving past the incinerator or through entire neighborhoods that have met destruction emits a kind of dark energy that grows on you slowly like a cancer. This is the part of “Detroit techno” that cannot be recreated. The party scene and the place had as much to do with the development of the music as did synthesis or equipment. If I were to approach techno in the mannerisms of architecture then I would take a - style be damned - approach. Why not a style-less house, no positive or negative space, no form, no sentimentality?
