Yeees. Just what I needed to get me back into it after 2 weeks off. Came off my bike and scraped my knuckles so this is the first time I've been able to pick up dumbbells properly.
Absolutely LOVED this!!! My fave time frame of work/rest and alternate strength/cardio. I did trade a few of the runs for other cardio eg burpees and star jumps and jump squats or lunges!! But that’s because I like variety!! 🩷🤩🙌💪🏻
Loved this workout! As an almost 60-year-old, postmenopausal, overweight, very out of shape woman with arthritic joints who is trying to lose weight and get stronger/improve fitness so that I can enjoy my golden years, I appreciate the modifiers...and sometimes I modify the modifier:) I also started the Begin to Lift series on your other channel. Thank you for all your hard work!

I am a former half marathon and marathon runner highly active so that was making me depressed and not. Wanting to do anything and then I came across your channel and decided to give it one last try. I had tried so many things and at my age and perimenopause it was hard and nothing was working. I couldn’t even do push ups without weights so I couldn’t do the ones with weights or even burpees and sit ups now I am able to not as fast as you of course but I find myself pushing and challenging myself each time thank you for making these videos and encouragement!!!❤💪🏽
Melissa that makes me so happy to hear. I totally understand. At the start of 2024 I was putting on weight and totally exhausted from Perimenopause. Nothing that used to work for me was working anymore. I was afraid to change up my workout style because my channel was all high intensity workouts but shifting my style and focus to more strength training and conditioning workouts I actually enjoy has totally changed my body shape again and given me a renewed love for making these workouts. So, thank you! I really does make a difference when I get comments like these and it actually feels like what you’re doing is making a difference 🙏

Definitely doing this after work. Was looking for a shorter workout alternating cardio and weights. Though I can't do running because of a previous neck surgery and have to minimize bouncy and jumping movements, I will change the running to a different cardio/body weight interval.

Penny has a 45 min Get Back on Track workout that has intervals that alternate light weights and walking intervals. It is one of my favorites. You can use different weights and either walk, jog or run in the active rest segments. I highly recommend it! I believe you can do those modifications in this workout too and maybe add a diferent exercise for the 1 minute switch burpee intervals. Best of luck! I’ll be doing this one over the weekend 😅
