When briggs and stratton made the vtwin mufflers pop off with 2 bolts they were just screaming straight piped it.

I took my 21 v twin and straight piped to two 6x 2-1/2 old school cylinder style mufflers u get at tractor supply or any big store .
Not the big round ones but the smaller diameter ones (look like a-silencer lol) sounded wicked deep and thumpy

Same machine I did for free 3/4 rear pully and front was 2-3” it ran 57 mph lol

Man my dream is a v-twin lawn mower with a sidepipe that has only one muffler under the chassis and then straight pipe out the side then i would pulley FLIP not swap it and then basically i would be happy. Im still pretty young. But i had a lawnmower but the rod snapped after the 4th day of driving. I have to say it was F U N while it lasted. Ive been searching a lawnmower since.

My first lt1000 with a vtwin had a rear gas tank like that.
I really like the rear gas tank!! I even drove it to the station for a fill up... later in this video.

The gas pedal and cable is mounted correctly on a 24hp intek. But the governor takes much of the fun out of things 😂. I like your method of bypassing that nasty governor. My question is , is it OK to disable the governor and leave that steel deal spin its ass off with no arm ?

You should build a Craftman Dyt4000 as a mudmower build but make it able to go in super deep water. Snorkle,raised Exaust and seal the transmission and seal engine, be a good test

I am wondering what kind of fuel you use in your mowers. If you don't use premium, I've found it's a good idea to because it helps keep your carburetors clean.
I use regular 87 octane, but have thought about doing premium... I may start that, it is not like they burn much anyways. Thanks for the tag!! and thanks for watching.

Lt1000s are a good platform for modifying. My racing tractor is an lt1000

You should build like lawnmower that pull for wood with or a trailer. And some how make a four wheel drive lawnmower
I have been thinking on how to do a 4x4 mower for years... and a trailer would be a fun build too. Let's just say they are both on the to do list. thanks for watching.

I was wondering what kind of pulley setup do you have for mud mowers I dont really want to go too terribly fast
I have a 6 inch in front and a 5 inch on Silver Bullet and it did 29 and has tons of low in power. You could even start with a 6 inch in the front and see what happens... On those mowers you can run a 5 inch front pulley max without mods. I also think it needs a gas pedal, and I see a missing front axle bolt at 32:40. Pretty sick build! I need to make a custom exhaust soon...
Which part is missing the bolt? I don't see it

I love the way the new one sounds, but that VTwin is too heavy to do good wheelies. I like Lt Johnson better.... I actually sold the new to me lt1000 last Friday, but it will probably still make guest appearances. Thanks for watching.
I got a older john deere 111 that im making into a mud mower, engine runs strong but the carb is junk, i was thinking about putting a atv style carb on it, would you have any suggestions or advice on it?

Carrollton where? I'm 30 mjles.frkm Carrollton Ga -USA...I have 2 LT1000's, one named Cain, and one Abel. Abel is a stock mower, waxed pretty, 17hp, present from my pastor. Cain is a legendary bastard, deck removed,
dozer blade from an old water heater and bedframe angle iron, angled and liftable with the deck arm, atv tires 22" and similar up front, 75 lbs of barbell weights bolted to the rear plate, 18.5hp briggs, and the 22" tires full of water and isopropyl for winters here.
The cheap chinese LED's in front aren't impressive, but with 110' tree canopy and a bazillion leaves, i can push them into 8' high rotpiles that are 6" by fall, push gravel, dirt, and mulch all year.
Wish i had your 6" pulleys; i never need my lower 3 gears!

I bought it probably 20 years ago from ebay and it was $51. They shouldn't be much higher these days. Super handy, wish I could use them on all mower tires, I need to make one for 5/8 inch axles... I love the little front tires and really like that they fit on the stock 6 inch wheels. I also have a set that fit on 8 inch wheels that are exactly the same tire just bigger. If you have any for 8 inch wheels, I actually like those better. Let me know what you decide and thanks for watching.

I got the same mower LT 1000 that burns oil really bad blows smoke bad any idea what it is? I Don’t use it anymore would be nice to fix it

One of mime overheated from former owner not cleaning grass from fins and exhaust and the exhaust valve seat came loose, killing it. I just heated the cylinder head, slipped in the seat, PEENEDthe aluminum around it, reground the valve in, and it has KILLER power, easy start and my 2 rules:
1) Only run motors at speeds necessary
2) never run dirty oil.
It may outlive you.
I have a like new starter off a 24hp vtwin if you need it?
I will keep that in mind, so far this one is perfect. BTW, the video for later is the river meet up video again. Yeah, I'll check it out. I enjoy your videos. Locking the diff is usually one of the first things I do when building a mower. I like building those lt1000 mowers. V twin with a locked 820 and its an animal

How do I fix my mud mower if I start it and then I let go of the clutch and it’s a neutral and the belt spins around with the pulley how do I fix it?

That as well but when I keep it in neutral, and I just let off the clutch, the belt keeps going around and it’s a very fast mower probably goes like 30 and I can just hear it going and going and going and I’m wondering if I can get rid of that so then it doesn’t do that and when I try and put it into gear without starting it in gear, it grinds
I still don't know what you're trying to say about the belt going, but with the grinding, it's obviously still partially engaged, so you either have too short a belt or your tensioner pulley linkage is sticking from rust. Pop the belt off a pulley to loosen, and make sure all the likages are working freely and not bent. I recommend using dry lube as it doesn't attract dirt and wearing things out.

I used mu old water heater body, some bed frame rails, odd & end scrap metal hooked to the old deck lift arm, and I push mulch, snow, leaf mountains, dirt and gravel with it.
Helps tho, with the 22" ATV tires in back and knobbys up front.

@@chud327 So I decided to put a 5 inch pulley on my mower, because I don't want to go super fast, but still have fun. I should have the parts by Friday and have it done by Sunday. As of right now it goes about 6 mph.

The name of the new mower should be rusty

So you went from a 9" pulley to a 5" pulley and the belt was 95" and you went to a 90". So if you take the inches you took away from the pulley and take them away from the belt the math should be: 9-5=4 and 95-90=5 with the inch shorter.
So when i pulley swap mine with a 3" rear, i should probably use a 88" belt.
Because 9-6=3 and 95-6=89 and you had to use an inch shorter.
Close to right, but I ended up needing a 90 inch. Will have to test the theory more in the future.. Thanks for watching. BTW, I have another video coming out in a little over an hour, hope you will check it out.

@chud327 So you only did 2 things to make it faster? 1.cut the muffler off. 2. changed the pulley from a 9" - 5"?
I have 2 LT1000 a 16hp and a17.5 hp intec.
Would really like to get a set of them tires but have no clue where I can even find them? are they 4 wheeler tires?
Pulley swapping is the easiest way to get good speed, I get most of my tires from marketplace.. thanks for watching!!
