- Change was desperately needed in the Pistons front office and I'm glad to see it occurring.
Best of luck to Troy.

Hopefully, Monty's next.
Please!
Tellem needs to get the hell out too !
FINALLY!!! 🎉
I feel for weaver, i feel he had other people interfering with his decisions aka tellum, id be happy if monty goes aswell
So happy this era is over in Detroit
Troy and the Pistons part ways. This team is in a much better position now compared to when he arrived. Cade Cunningham, $64mil of cap space, and a wealth of young inexpensive players.
Now I hope Trajan is allowed to do his job without being undermined. He's hiring his own GM and hopefully he'll also bring in his own coach.
😮😮
finally!!!! Troy sucks. Now let's hope Gores and Tellem stop meddling and let Langdon do his job
Why do people treat arn tellums involvement as some kind of deep conspiratorial puppet master working behind the scenes to the detriment of the team?
I get the argument that there might be too many cooks in the kitchen, but he's the vice president of the pistons, a part owner and someone with deep connections across the entire NBA. Of course he's going to have a strong voice and use his connections to try to help. I'm not an apologist, but I get bored with the lazy fab takes that tellum is somehow the scapegoat for what's been happening.
I'm sure he'd accept he's a part of the whole organisational failure we've witnessed, but people seem to use that as a way to ignore how incompetent weaver has been at his job.
I'm not going to list the moves, but would suggest looking at RUclipsr kofie's recent post, which does an excellent job detailing the mismanagement under his watch.
Tell em should have decision making authority. Tell em should be criticized for scapegoating Weaver for decisions Weaver opposed.
If Weaver tells the truth he won't get another GM job. Will Telem/Gores come clean about Weaver's actual decisions??
Yeah, Troy was never given a proper chance to be the GM. It was like he did it with handcuffs.
@@kcowan79 He's stupid and was the worst GM ever.
@@kcowan79 I don't buy that narrative. He had plenty of chances over 4 years and stuffed up too many times to count. To wave them away as not his responsibility means you either have incredible insight into the inner workings of the organisation that no one else seems too or you're buying one of the perspectives of the media you consume
I think it’s a little of everything. I do watch and read a lot of news source and I do not have any inside info. But I do research. @detroitKoolaid is an inside writer for Detroit sports. He said the same thing. Troy’s last press conference said exact words “ said there were a lot of things at play that was not in my power , but we aren’t going to play the name game we are just gonna move forward. “ he was speaking about Killian Hayes ,late trade , not moving off Bogey. They blame Troy for bringing in the European players with wasted 2nd rd picks and never playing . All Tellum clients. I’m not saying he didn’t make some bad moves. Marvin Bagley , James Wiseman, Josh Jackson. But he didn’t have power. But you have to admit bad luck played into this also. 3 x 5th pick. Missed Paulo, Chet , Jabari, Wemby, etc. And injuries was real. No Bogey, Jalen, Morris. Not wanting Monty and front office going over him and paying him record dollars. He did pick 2 rookies that made the all rookie team. But what ever it is. It’s over Now. Looking forward to the new regime. Let GO Pistons!!
It's a results business. Killian over Haliburton was a tough miss. Didn't build to keep Cade.
That wasn’t Troy Weavers decision, he wanted Haliburton
@@jerryalexander8803 Why do you think that?
Dzanan Musa is a beast in Euroleague but that Bruce Brown trade was one of the worst moves of Troy
What a sad commentary! Forced to hire a coach he didn’t want. Forced to draft a player (K. Hayes) he didn’t want. Now to have the blame placed on him. I’m glad he has left. Now he is free from just having a title with no power..
And we are free from the clutches of the very worst GM in the history of the sport!
Man I wish he had the chance to just cooked. I think we would be a much better organization. It was like being a GM with cuffs on.
@@kcowan79 He's stupid and was the worst GM ever.
Thank god!!!!!
It went wrong because of tellem
I agree
Prove it! Lots of people have said that, but none of them have ever provided any evidence to support their claims.
it’s celebration time let’s gooooo
Id trade ivey
For cap space?
Imagine getting fired as gm without even getting coach you want or able to draft all the players you want
MAAAAANNNNN I'm in our Detroit Pistons group chat going wild. This ain't Troy fault
Troy had plenty of opportunity. You saw how Ollie’s coaching stint went in Brooklyn. It would have gone just as bad here.
@@RyanLaprade now ownership intervention was the main problem
@@TheGallant9 He's the worst GM who ever lived, regardless of why.
Think most fams wanted haliburton
“ Troy Weaver “ No wonder they sucked.
We need heat assistant gm
