I think what you express most closely aligns with classical liberalism - this is about individualism. Is focused on the idea of human rights and of people being allowed to live independently as they wish. Rejects the conservatism of the right and the anti-capitalism and identity politics of the left.

Abstinence is 100% freewill. Personal responsibility is hard, but taking an innocent life is forever.

(to specify, I more mean the far left) They will use poetic and flowery language, say abstract, impressive sounding terms, but when you finish watching you'll wonder "what did they actually say?"

I am an independent, and I have to say when I left the left my experience was different than yours in that I was for the first time in a long time able to discuss issues, both sides. I was told by more conservative individuals to “go to the source” and decide for yourself. I live in California so I rarely if ever run into someone who is upset by skin color, and for the most part, virtually everyone wishes they spoke Spanish. There is a level of physical comfort I feel when attending political speeches on the right, that I do not feel on the left. The energy just seems to be below bubbling. Like at any moment, things could change. I rarely speak for fear of saying the wrong thing to someone. Totally enjoyed your story.

16:20 - Sounds like you agree with Conservatism but are disappointed by meeting regular people who call themselves Conservative.
Conservatism basically means that not all change is good, so you need strong evidence to change. It means believing that human nature is fixed and dealing with that reality, rather than sacrificing people for a utopian fantasy. It means understanding that your power is limited and doing what you can, rather than thinking that everything would be perfect if only you held absolute power and dictated to everyone.
Part of this is understanding that sex is real, that dex-based differences are real, and that if people have difficulty accepting the sex they are then they need to come to terms with it rather than play dress up. It's better for their mental health and society. When a man puts on a dress it's a symbol of being completely self-cetered, materialistic, and mentally not well. People respond to that on an emotional level, understanding instinctively that something is wrong with him and that he's also harming society. Not everyone has the ability to articulate the logic behind this intuition.
And yes, there are right-wing conspiracy theorists who just accept everything that they are told and follow the herd. That's because people are human, and that's human nature. Critical thinking is a rare skill. That doesn't invalidate Conservatism as a world view.

IK what it's like to "feel alone". I feel this way about my faith (IK this is more about politics, but you did mention religion, and I wanted to touch on that). I seem to be alone in how I interpret the bible, compared to other Christians (which probably doesn't help bring people into the faith). But my faith in God is strong, and He has revealed Himself, to me, in ways many (including believers) don't think about. All I need is God's approval (and He's my strength to keeping going & fighting), and I pray for others to get their validation from God instead of man. Amen.

I feel it will take time for me to see clearly in this political mess, since I am a transgender man, I am expected to agree with woke ideology which I mostly don't anymore, but when it comes to the conservative side of things, it is also hard to relate when some people define "man" or "woman" as purely biological concepts and dismiss totally the possibility to live as male being born female. I think indeed, to use our brains to come up with our own conclusions is a very good piece of advice

I honestly feel it comes down to love. People need to make decisions based on love. That's the problem with the problematic candidates I see. They are making decisions, proposing policies, based on fear. Not love. Unfounded fears, for the most part. Love must win out over fear, for me to feel comfortable staying in this country. When the politics become so corrupt and absoutely fear-based, I will find another country. I do not owe loyalty to a government that is so fearful, it would do anything to maintain control/power over others. My ancestors left their respective countries because of that kind of fear. I am able to do it too.

Kiyah. You dare to think for yourself and not blindly follow what they tell you. The country needs more smart and brave people like you. I check all the privilege boxes you mentioned plus I’m way older than you. I don’t however check all the conservative boxes you mentioned. I’m not overly religious, I support the right to choose and a bunch of other little things. I am a strong Trump supporter mostly for the reasons you dislike about the far left. That makes me center right as I suspect you are also but not ready to declare it. I wonder who you will support for president since you sound like a true independent. Best wishes to you and I wish we could have a good serious conversation about this further.

Subscribed after seeing you on "the western spirit". Very impressive, thoughtful, and articulate. I consider myself a libertarian conservative. I have a long explanation as to what I define that to be. I have always been Republican. But I'm becoming increasingly unimpressed with the Republican party. People believing all these crazy conspiracy theories. From Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Tim pool and others. Irrational thinking is on the rise in the Republican party. Though in principle I'm more Republican. Though not perfectly aligned with the party

You really gave me hope in a time where the world has very little of ❤. Always ask question (it becomes only harder with age 😊). I`d love to see the "why I'm not a libertarian?" video.

The problem - when you let others define for you what good and bad are. Rather than using your own reason and thinking.

You prioritized your safety. :) That's so important. Because once you prioritize your safety, you know how to protect others too. :) Thank you for this video. I underwent a similar revelation when dealing with people with narcissistic personality disorder. Like in a plane, you gotta put on your oxygen mask first.... before you can helps someone else.

I'm a believer in Live and Let Live. I'm blown away by this video of yours and the previous one I discovered, "Why I Stand With Israel." Thank you! I either misunderstood or disagree with your takedown of BLM - perhaps *I* need more information re: which untruths were told about the Police that led to whatever over-reactions occured? (I want to share your work with a black long-time friend, a former cop and musician who's been DEI-washed by a CCNY professor and is sprouting much Pro-Palestine memeage, but don't want to alienate him re: BLM, which he and I both support.) Thank you, and good luck with your health issues. You are precious. In the best sense of the word.

Great video, I share a similar story too.
I’m a Minority™ and five or so years ago, I was a hardcore leftie. Not really because I’d read everything available and come to that conclusion that it was the most correct ideology, but just because it was expected of me.
I’m not gonna be defined by my Minority™ status anymore. The only people who ever normalised judging people by their skin colour, sex, age, place of birth, et cetera; were the people who were supposedly my allies.
The only thing I take issue with here is your misuse of the word capitalist. That’s an economic policy and completely unrelated to one’s social views.

What an enlightening story. The DEI part of your life sounds harrowing. I, too, have left the left, but I'm not sure what I am now. I like the terminology that you propose.
