    What a cast they had for this, just top notch. The older I get the more I appreciate how good of an actor Roger Lloyd Pack was though, his timing and delivery was so good. RIP

      I agree with you Charlie Harrington. He was also HILARIOUS as Owen Hewitt in the vicar of Dibley as well when he made it obvious he (Owen) fancies the title character Geraldine Granger (played by Dawn French) and always asked her if he wanted to have sex with her and she always said no LOL!

      I once heard one of his fellow cast members, I forget which one, say that he was a very accomplished actor and that one of the things that made his portrayal of Trigger so good was the way he virtually emptied any sign of thought from his eyes. Watching this clip, you can see it. As you say, a fantastic actor.

    Rover Lloyd Pack was a fantastic actor. His "Trigger" was a difficult role to perform, with his rubbery face and simpleton demeanor, he was excellent! Very much loved and missed.

    The scriptwriters wrote the words, but the way Roger delivered them was just brilliant. He was one of the best in Vicar of Dibley too. A giant.

      Roger is a legend .....trigger like del boy etc wouldnt be the same with anyone else ......in fact it's only now I realise how great the actors and actresses were and love I got to grow up watching it but also sad we will never see any show like it ! For me its best comedy show ever !

    It must have been bloody horrible working with Roger Lloyd Pack; imagine having to try and keep a straight face whilst Roger delivers his lines with that deadpan face 😂. I wouldn't have been able to do it, I'd have been in stitches the whole time.

    There's been great sitcom's and there's been Only Fools - the greatest. I can't remember any other British sit coms with some many memorable scenes that still make people laugh decades later even though we've seen them time and again and know what's coming. That's a true sign of greatness.

    Look closely at Nick Lyndhurst during his conversation with Trigger. He just manages to stifle a smile. Roger Lloyd Pack makes it through without a flinch. What an actor, the best.

    Trigger influenced my life. Once I had an assistant at work whose name was Jayne. However I got it into my head she was Linda. One day, to my embarrassment she had it out with me, 'My name is Jayne, not Linda.' she complained. Later I spoke to her, 'Can you do this for me Jayne,' and then apologised, 'Sorry I meant Linda, I have got your name wrong again.'
