Trigger is the best supporting character in TV history, RIP Roger Lloyd Pack
Manuel from Fawlty Towers is up there
They used him just the right ammount
FACT 👏👏👏👏
So True bro
What about Rodney!
He is just effortlessly funny. It's the pauses between his replies 😂
What a cast they had for this, just top notch. The older I get the more I appreciate how good of an actor Roger Lloyd Pack was though, his timing and delivery was so good. RIP
I agree with you Charlie Harrington. He was also HILARIOUS as Owen Hewitt in the vicar of Dibley as well when he made it obvious he (Owen) fancies the title character Geraldine Granger (played by Dawn French) and always asked her if he wanted to have sex with her and she always said no LOL!
Sure so funny
His delivery in the Cybermen episodes for *Doctor Who* is truly terrifying. Very underrated actor.
Agreed. Loved him in Dibley too.
I absolutely love the fact he always called him Dave...it was just amazing 🤩😂❤️
Cracks me up everytime 🤣
Because that's his name.
@@TorbjornMain isn't it a nickname? 😏
@@anneeq008 No but its the name of the actor
How they managed to keep a straight face while filming this I'll never know!😂😂😂
I once met the late John Challis, who told me that they were frequently told off for laughing in rehearsals!!
You do realise that scenes are more often than not done in more than one take ?
@@ElvarMasson No way? Really? Have a word with yourself will ya.
@@richardtromans6411 So, you do know why they didn't "keep a straight face" while filming this ? Your original comment hinted otherwise
@@ElvarMasson It was a rhetorical question.
They’re naming him Rodney after Dave.....that always cracks me up. 😂
Just can't beat it top class
Me too I just love that
So funny
R.ii
its rogers timing and deadpan delivery which makes it perfect haha
Del: "What are you laughin' at?"
Trigger: "I don't know."
🤣🤣🤣
The genius writing of John Sullivan; never to be surpassed.
He based most of it on people he knew and things that happened to him family and friends. The chandelier actually happened to John Sullivan’s dad.
"Did you find your way out of the maze Dave?"Hilarious.
I wanted to hear about what happened to Trigger in the maze. I guess we will never know
@@xboxgamer7453 he's probably still stuck in the maze knowing him
@@xboxgamer7453 You can bet....knowing Trigger.....it would have been good....
@@billwellington4339 Lol yeah that's for sure.
She wanted to go to the left.....................
Roger Lloyd Pack what a fantastic actor he was. He is sorely missed.
I once heard one of his fellow cast members, I forget which one, say that he was a very accomplished actor and that one of the things that made his portrayal of Trigger so good was the way he virtually emptied any sign of thought from his eyes. Watching this clip, you can see it. As you say, a fantastic actor.
@@burtingtune yeah it's definitely his eyes. He barely blinks!!
@@sobster123 It's the stars in the night sky.
Rover Lloyd Pack was a fantastic actor. His "Trigger" was a difficult role to perform, with his rubbery face and simpleton demeanor, he was excellent! Very much loved and missed.
The scriptwriters wrote the words, but the way Roger delivered them was just brilliant. He was one of the best in Vicar of Dibley too. A giant.
Rodney: "Trig, me and Cassandra are intelligent people, and DO NOT have arguments about the quickest way out of a maze!"....I like how later on its revealed that exact reason was their big row haha.... brilliant comedy!
2:13
"alright dave"..... it will never ever get old.

" Leave it to me, Mike " , said Einstein! 😂🙌

God bless Roger Lloyd Pack once again xx
Roger is a legend .....trigger like del boy etc wouldnt be the same with anyone else ......in fact it's only now I realise how great the actors and actresses were and love I got to grow up watching it but also sad we will never see any show like it ! For me its best comedy show ever !
I WONDER IF THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE OFF SOME OFF THE SHOWS LIKE HIM SAYING THEY LIVE IN NELSON MANDELA. HOUSE OR BATMAN WHERE THEY CHASED SOME WHITE MEN WHEN THEY MUGGED A BLACK WOMAN
Exactly. He was a legend. Kenneth McDonald (Mike) too. Rip to both of them.
@@billsamuls7620 shut up you nonce
I loved Trigger so much along with uncle Albert and Grandad also Mike and Boycey brilliant brilliant actors never see anything like them again they where REAL ACTORS.Miss you Trig.🙁🥰😍❤
Did you find your way out of the maze Dave?
No I’m still in there Trig 😂🇬🇧
Roger Lloyd Pack's delivery haha priceless
Best show of all time, R.I.P to all that have passed away, both actor's and fans,
Leave it to me mike"
You just know that it's going to be a classic 😂😂

Trigger is a gem, he manages to say the most stupid things but in a way which suggests the person he is talking to is the one who's being stupid.
So right
As soon as you see trigger you just start to smile because you know he's about to do something funny 😂
"If its a boy, they're naming it Rodney...After Dave" 😂😂😂😂
It must have been bloody horrible working with Roger Lloyd Pack; imagine having to try and keep a straight face whilst Roger delivers his lines with that deadpan face 😂. I wouldn't have been able to do it, I'd have been in stitches the whole time.
What a legend RIP Roger Lloyd Pack and thanks for the many yeara of laughter lad ❤
Best show I’m just discovering. Perfect cast. Super talent. Watch episodes over and over.
You just can't watch an episode once..you do miss stuff on just one watch.... I still find it tough to actually have a favourite episode of this show... that's how you know it's top quality..
Probably "A Losing Streak" from the normal series... and Miami Twice - Oh To Be In England
@@dljm7847
Del: "I knew you was cheating Boycie."
Boyce: "Oh yeah, how?"
Del: "Because that wasn't the hand that I dealt you!"
Love 'A Losing Streak', one of the best. Then you also get Rodney calling Tails at the end, what a plonker!
They just don’t make tv shows like this no more
The talent has gone
I really fancy a chip sandwich now.
The minute Trig says 'Leave it to me' you knew it was doomed.
Fantastic Roxy Music in the back

God I love Trigger
I didn't discover this guy until the vicar of dibley and then The Old Guys ..with another great actor, clive swift
He did a great fetish themed movie called Preaching to the Perverted.
Check it out. He plays a rich wife swapping aristocrat.
Comedy timing😂👏👏👏🙌
There's been great sitcom's and there's been Only Fools - the greatest. I can't remember any other British sit coms with some many memorable scenes that still make people laugh decades later even though we've seen them time and again and know what's coming. That's a true sign of greatness.
Trigger’s like a simple male Labrador that you always want to have round as a prop.
Rodney ..... After who???🤣🤣🤣🤣
Trigger was the funniest character in OFAH
Mike-do you want red or brown sauce
Del- yes
Amazing every time I watch this🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The best thing about this conversation is that later on in the episode you find out that Rodney & Cassandra did fight over which way to go in the maze 😂
I just wish I could go back in time to watch this and not know what was coming next
Yep know what's coming but still makes me bloody laugh😂😂😂
It seems like you're wishing for alzheimers. Be careful what you wish for.
@@noonoofulable sorry what did I say again 😂

Trigger’s blind date scene. ‘I said I was a bus inspector to add a bit of glamour’. 🤣
SMOKING IN THE BOOZER IT SEEMS SO LONG AGO NOW. I CAN BARELY REMEMBER IT.
Fraternal greetings,
Let's hope it stays in the past, I can have a drink now without risking an asthma attack.
@Jim G So why increase it with cigarette smoke?
Except all pubs let you smoke back then so you didn't really have a choice. I used to like a smoke with a pint but always hated stinking of it. Don't miss it.
Yeah I wish they still had smoking bars are non smoking.
When trigger starts laughing 😂😂
Trigger the actor that the nation loved. Pure genus comedy.
What you laughing about??I don't know hahahahah.
Poor Trig, He’s so simple 😂😂😂

I don't know what anybody is laughing about. This show was massively overrated. MASSIVELY!

That dates this ashtrays in a Pub and Del Boy smoking a cigar lol!
@Raw Engineer free to poison others with your 2nd hand smoke
Raw Engineer lots of things have got worse since then about society but you have to admit the one good thing is banning smoking in public it’s disgusting to be around

"sometimes its good to have stupid people, sometimes its bad, same with clever people"
I'd rather have fools around me than smart folk anyway...
Least I'd fit in then 😉
@@shaneoconnor9773 to be fair. smart folk are fools too. The only difference is they are more knowledgeable if that makes any sense. A smart mind isnt always a right mind. trust me.. ive had my fair share of smart friends. some of them didnt exactly use it right.
We’re all contextually stupid
You have to be really clever to play stupid brilliantly.
@@trudilm3864 or just stupid to just be really clever...
Gets me every time! Such a straight face by RLP. "Rodney, after Dave"!!!!!
Look closely at Nick Lyndhurst during his conversation with Trigger. He just manages to stifle a smile. Roger Lloyd Pack makes it through without a flinch. What an actor, the best.
Roger Lloyd Pack never laughed on set. There's no way one single scene with Trig was done in one take because everything he said was so funny.
And that Ladies & Gentlemen is a genius comedian at work RIP Trig ;-)
Fuck i miss this show so much and i don't mean repeats, why do we have to get old
I wish I still lived in the 80s and 90s.
What are you laughing at ?.....I dunno 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 never gets old this show.
That's the only time I hv seen Trigger laughing in WHOLE series 😄
He never laughed other than this 😅

Simply the best🤣.

Trigger timing is perfect
The look rodders gives very time trigger says Dave hahahah
This is what a great recurring joke looks like
We visited Buster Merryfields grave whilst on holiday in the summer. ❤️
I grew up 3 miles away from Peckham. Priceless! ALRIGHT DAVE?

Dusty Springfield at the back ❤️
What’s the song called, also we have the same name😃
You don't have to say you love me
Class 😂
God bless Trigger.
After Dave lol trigger is amazing
My word fools and horses is the best sit com of all time .
The funny part was the row WAS about the shortes route out of the maze. Couples do get in to petty arguements.
He always use to stand in front of me and family in family Enclosure at the Arsenal
Classic comedy, we don't have any thing like this today,
I got so into this then I forgot I was watching a small clip from the show
Fantastic viewing, a time when the country had some humour
how long did we wait for that punch line
What a man trigger was how he kept a straight face different class RIP trigger
i think we all know a Trigger.............and...............aren't we the better for it?
Yes I know a Trigger. We was giving him a lift home one night and as neither me or my mate knew exactly where he lived my mate said "where do you live? Which way do I need to go?"
He replied "I'll tell you when we get closer"
I love this
What's the name of this episode? It's so funny!🤣🤣
D'you want sauce?
Yh
Brown red?
Yh both
🤣
There won’t be a comedy like
That again! Comedy has dried up now!
Classic lol
Trigger influenced my life. Once I had an assistant at work whose name was Jayne. However I got it into my head she was Linda. One day, to my embarrassment she had it out with me, 'My name is Jayne, not Linda.' she complained. Later I spoke to her, 'Can you do this for me Jayne,' and then apologised, 'Sorry I meant Linda, I have got your name wrong again.'
Trigger was the funniest comedy character ever " who's del naming the baby Rodney after?"... "Their naming him after dave"........ Ha Ha
Trigger,... America's next president :-)
Well suited if he’s Republican. Keep the trend going,!!!!!😉
If its a boy their calling it rodney after dave 😂😂😂
THERE IS NO RODNEY ONLY DAVE
OFAH is life.
I call it the best show ever
They don’t make comedies like this anymore!😜😂😜
If it's a boy they want to call him rodney..
Yeah.. who after???? 😂😂😂
And we called it Damien
