There's only 4 bug moves gen 1 and Scyther can't learn any of them, and Beedrill/butterfree/Venomoth are poison so they're going down in a hit.

Although you need to be pretty much 100% complete with the game to do it

At that point, taking him out becomes simple and you can just one shot him.
Just don't get hit by screech or you're screwed.
Once you're level 91, get a friend bow and you'll be able to recruit him. His recruit rate is 0.1% though, so you'll be fighting a while before getting him.
I had to raid him 3 times and kill about 400 of them before recruiting one, but you could easily end up killing 1000 and still not get him.
What's broken is that a powerful dragon can get defeated by a little fairy

Lmao dragons were broken in gen v so we needed something to balance it.
There was no need for fairy type to exist. All they had to do was buff Ice type to counter dragon properly or nerf Outrage. It's one of those change for the sake of change things.
Gen IV (pre-platinum) meta was the most balanced. And then extreme levels of power creep happened. What does Gamefreak does to reduce that? Add more Power Creep.

Except it has two types, and those dragon type weaknesses, dragon and fairy, aren't affected (and it's also why ice stays 2x effective).

Why do we need strength to move a boulder? Gym leader Chuck from Johto moves it with his muscles. All we need is an actual gym and lift some weights, pump some iron to raise our defense, chow on protein to raise attack and destroy that bolder like Jackie Hitmonchan or Bruce Hitmonlee. Game freak needs to get Hitmontop of this over ride Pokémon. I want to use my own Pokémon still.

There are even fan games that do it better. There's this one game, where if a mon is fighting or psychic, or capable of using strength, you can move boulders. instead of that being a roadblock in the game.

The kecleon always made my heart race when I saw it. Whenever I got the chance I would steal from the shop and use the stair teleport seed. And move to the next floor. It got me a lot of useful items.

The broken Pokemon of all time is a level 1 ratatta with a focus sash and with the move endeavor
Amaya ONeal that strategy can only kill one pokemon, and it has a lot of holes in it's strategy like status, hazards, priorities, multi hit attacks, etc, but it's hella fun to use when you do finally pull it off!
Aren't you supposed to have Quick Attack. If not, that will most likely not work. Also ghost types can easily counter this.
Not broken but the most ANNOYING (if receiving) or SATISFYING (if giving).
There are much better versions of the Suicidal Rattata.
Example 1:
Ability: Sturdy
HP: As low as you can get it
Moves required:
A priority attack move
Endeavor
Excels at sweeping the opposing Pokémon for multiple turns. Can constantly KO while using regen.
Example 2:
Ability: That one ability that does the same thing as Safety Goggles. Magic Guard or something?
Item: Focus Sash
Moves required: Same as example 1
Better if the opponent has hail or sandstorm going.

Dark Star strategy: have a Pokémon with recover (like alakazam, but I think you gotta teach it that) and use it. Then, eat a ban seed, and the move recover will be unusable for the rest of the battle; yea, even for Mewtwo! The other Pokémon should be strong dark or ghost types.

Try the deoxys dungeon in the original mystery dungeon, red resque team, only allowed three items for a 20 floor dungeon where you had to find deoxys on each floor too advance to the next floor....

Damn I remember kecleon all too well, lost count of the amount of times I accidentally left the shop and had a goddamn beast oneshotting me.
Smeargle can relearn Sketch from the move tutor after using it, in a multi battle, you can target your own pokemon with sketch.......... using this strategy, it became possible to teach smeargle literally ANY FOUR MOVES IN THE GAME.
I used to have a party of 6 smeargle with protect, detect, rest, and toxic, holding a lava cookie.
