Marie completely blows me away with her keyboard skills.
Thank you so much!!
6:44 ー Marie & Chizuru🤩🤩🤩😍❤️
The keyboard loves Marie and Marie loves the keyboard!!!! Uh
Yeah!!!!
Someone please explain to me how these women managed to grab the attention of a 60 year old redneck metalhead rock guy like me. Not just grab my attention, but grab me by the boo-boo. I am a legit fan of these women. I've never listened to jazz, I've never listened to funk (not seriously anyway), I've never listened to anything that could remotely be considered "easy listening". Yet I buy/consume everything these women do, and have become a yuuugge Senri fan (love it when she performs with Rie aka Suzaku). I thank the girls of Babymetal for turning my ears to Japan, discovering such an wonderful music scene of world class musicians. These women are the definition of world class and deserving of more recognition than they will ever receive. There is something truly special occurring on the stage when these women are on it.
Some of the best guitar players in the world have said that they think of a sax solo when playing a guitar solo.
Maybe you should go back and listen to some vintage _Spyro Gyra_ which is very similar. I suggest the album _City Kids_ or _Alternating currents._
same, I'm not a jazz fan as such and somehow discovered Tokyo Grove Jyoshi, a more funky band that Juna (bass) used to be in and still guests for, then she announced she was with these girls and loved them ever since
Amen
Marie stole the show! That solo at 7:07... Wow!
Thank you so much!!
Marie has written a great tune - a classic, I believe. And the way that she and the rest of the band play it is really beautiful.
Thank you so much!!
Love them, can't seem to get enough of their sound...I'm sold
Congratulations, いつものように、あなたは素晴らしいです!!! 🤟🤩🤟
These women had blown away all top notch US American Jazz musicians, if the already had existed in the early 1980's. Awesome music, which you today hardly ever hear and also awesome musicians and even more awesome teamwork!
They really know how to play Jazz, keeping the good, but improving the no so good.
Wonderful as always! Thank you!
Marie: Love your keyboard work!
Thank you so much!!
A revolution in jazz, jazz-rock and improvisation!
Another hot jam.
Hello and Greatings from Germany
Wonderful tune with a nice bluesy foundation. The Jazz Avengers! Love them.

嬉しいー!!ありがとうございます!!
Had a wonderful time with 8 pretty ladies and beautiful music.🍮🍵
That keyboard solo was magical.😍
Wow 😮! Hearing Marie and WaKaNa together was so beautiful. Marie just made me have tears. This song is outstanding!!! ❤❤❤ EVERYONE is so fantastic. The blending is best of any musicians I have heard in my 67 years. ❤❤❤
That's really it, isn't it? These are individually brilliant musicians, but the sum of the parts is greater still. The chemistry is phenomenal.
"The blending is best of any musicians I have heard in my 67 years."
Is hyperbole a part of your everyday life or are you just following the RUclips standard of expression? This performance is good but it is nowhere near the greatness of a once in a lifetime experience. If it truly is such for you, it appears you must have lived in complete isolation from music for the bulk of your sixty seven years. On the other hand, if you meant only to praise the performance, what's wrong with merely stating that you liked it and leave it at that?
Thank you sooo much!!!!
Great composition, not only excellent musicians who genuinely seem to like playing together, but gifted compsers too
So well put. I couldn't agree more 👌🏽
Absolutely. That is what sets them apart. The team plays and writes like a dream.
Super Gruppe, das "Duell " von Miku Yonezawa und Ami Nakazono einfach super, Grüße aus Deutschland
❤❤❤❤ I hope that they come to the US soon. We have several jazz festivals they could perform ❤❤❤❤
"This is not music, this is a trip"
Wow! You are all so much fun to listen to! Thank you! And hello from the center of the North American continent.
Wow , great tune Marie ! Everyone had a great Saxofon solo , and your solo at the end was awesome !
Their sound is so integrated that you have to listen, over and over, to notice certain things. Marie on keys is just perfect. Always there with the fills and solos. Juna so solid with the bass. Senri? Magnifique
Thank you!!
Loved this performance, but especially the keyboards 🎹!!!
That solo near the end is so good!
Thank you so much!!!
Marie was sounding so, so good on this number. So nice to hear more of her playing.❤️🔥🔥❤️🔥
Thank you sooo much!!!!
Amazing piano-playing and synth solo by Marie; she would deserve a more stable stand though. Also great: Chizuru‘s comping during Marie‘s solo.
Agree 100%, and especially about Chizuru's comping. There's a real art to accompanying a soloist and reacting to what they play, as opposed to simply "playing rhythm." I think Chizuru's way of playing to complement the song is part of what sets her apart from a lot of other very capable guitarists.
Thank you!!!!!!
ギターのカッティングがカッコいい
Keyboard makes everything ❤❤❤
Thank you!!!!
@@marietakeda love you from indonesia
Man kann nur noch Dankend diese Musik hören, und es geniessen. Ihr seid wirklich die besten, weiter so.

Nothing but love for these ladies and the sheer talent on display. Wonderful showcase for Marie's sublime work behind the keys but the same is obviously true of the group as a whole. Much love from Melbourne, Australia.✌️❤️🤘🌏

TOP, 1a
I'd like to see them play with Grace Kelly.
Sexy jazz...new jazz genre😘
There was Candy Dulfer.
Yucco Miller/Onishi had played with Senri some years ago. Deserves a serious listen.
Fix that camera!!! Good golly gee I thought I was having vision problems
Another great performance from one of my favourite bands, but the audio mix just doesn’t sound professionally made to me. In my opinion the mixes in Buena Vista and Mima Mounds videos were also subpar but, for example, the Hunter video from August sounded great. I love your music, I’d love to hear it with better audio quality than this.
Seriously, if you feel that the audio mixes are unprofessional and subpar (your words!) you should contact the band's management and offer your services. As you know, you don't have to be at the venue to remix - they can fly you the individual tracks and you can work your magic in your own studio. Of course, someone might ask what your qualifications are, and then you can offer up the three videos on your YT channel as an example of "professional audio quality"🤮🤮🤮
Thanks for your suggestion, but despite having dabbled a bit in audio engineering I am not the right person to remix those songs. Yes, I think those audio mixes have major issues and I could tell you more specifically what I think is wrong with them, but I know that my own mixing skills are passable at best. It's just that I'm hearing some novice level mistakes in these mixes.
You need a singer to touch the top. One who sings japanese "dissonances"
I'm extremely thankful for the hours of incredible music that The Jazz Avengers have given us. And I'm just as thankful that they're not taking the advice of some random YT commenters who are telling the band what they "need" to do in order to get better.
Considering the outrageous exaggerations in the praise for this performance, it is difficult for me to discount an acquaintance's claim that the majority of RUclips commentary is produced by bots in the service of the uploaders. This is enjoyable, yes, and the performance, individual and ensemble, is professional but this is nowhere near the greatest thing ever produced by humans (or uploaded to RUclips). Why can't commentators cease with the over the top praise and merely state that they liked the performance? Maybe just tick the thumbs up button and leave it at that...
Considering every player is a superstar on the absolute top of their respective instruments, you can expect a lot of praise for the sheer technical prowess alone. Also yeah, these gals are the best thing that has happened to fusion jazz in the past decade, not only because of this group but because of their solo careers as well.
