The info says the soprano sax women wrote this. So far it seems all of them have composed songs. This one is deceptively soulful. Really talented musicians. Respect. That ending is up there with the best jazz and fusion.
Senri's flam work on the drums is a thing of god tier genius for this song. It fits perfectly.🙂
These ladies will blow away the majority of jazz funk fusion bands playing today. I think that's why most of them would not like be on the same stage with them

I think she's the best there is. She's still young and will be on top for decades in any genre.
Check this out: she's actually on a Bootsy Collins track put out many years ago (World Wide Funk album 2017). Amazing.
They just keep getting better and better. Hope they tour the U.S. sometime soon.

I had one of those awesome "snapped out of it" moments when this ended. Fully immersed in the music! Brilliant, brilliant stuff...
So-o-o good. I have followed them since Senri's Seven, and they just get better.
So many things to love about this performance that it's hard to decide what to say first, and even more difficult to keep it brief. Just two things out of the many: 1) Chizuru's exquisitely subtle accompaniment. 2) Senri's brief intro. So simple. So much soul.
I heard from a commenter that Chizuru has left the band. Not sure but oh, well, at least we have what we have. Her song Mima Mounds was a highlight for me. She is a great accompanist but plays a lead break on that piece that shows her chops. 😊
