I think the upgrade for movement on Lush is Channels! Egy v. Atl early looks rough from a casual watcher's standpoint- Turmas eat bonus damage from Slingers and Spearmen, right? And if you go Murmillo Axemen can tear them up. Great vid! Really love your insights and comments.
Yes that's the upgrade! There are so many it's hard to remember all the names sometimes! Eggy classical units are very strong counters but turma can hit and run as they're faster than everything. Lots of micro needed in these high elo games.
Depends on what civ you are playing against, but generally in heroic Atlantean builds prodromos and Murillo or katapeltes. It really depends on what your opponent is doing. If they are going mass chariots then turma are definitely worth building
@@mooseaom Sometimes it get in the way of microing say you have a myth unit low on hp and you want to save it and you tell it to go back while your army is behind it and it often just clears a path and some random soldier is able to gets access to your backline. They should just make it so that units can kind of phase through each other
Generally silently watch your vids so I wanna respond to the comment at the beginning. I think Gaia is by far the most boring god in the game :p I know she's strong, that's fine, but all the bonuses are passive and other than rare Leto cheese, it's the same thing every game. Oceanus/Theia, always early 2tc, sit defensive with gaia forest/manors to protect, get the cheaper/higher tier eco upgrades, making as few food units as possible to get heroic and spam contarius/murmillo with poseidons secret + lance of stone/bite of the shark, a nearly instant trained 0 pop myth unit meatshield + easy boosted rate farm transition from the extra wood gathering. I don't begrudge people doing it, it's obviously effective when you simply gather more resources than your opponent, it's just not interesting to me. There's no skill required to make the most out of the bonuses, it's all passive. There's no question of "is this person going to play to their Gods strengths" e.g. Poseidon cav, Loki Hersir, and the mind games associated with that. Personally I like playing against them as I prefer to play Norse and it's certainly easier than going against Eygptians atm :) Like contrast that with Ra, probably what most people consider the strongest atm - part of that strength is the variety of strong strats Ra can do which makes every game interesting, you don't know what they're gonna do when it starts out. Feel like with Gaia once you've seen one you've kinda seen them all.. I hope to be proven wrong!
Love your vids moose
thanks Moose!

Moose you can show the upgrades of the turma by hitting the little "i" for info to the right of the name "turma (hero)"
Is turma worth to produce in heroic age, or is it better to make arcus if in a situation of all turma got killed?

depends on the match up, if they're countering something then they're good but arcus is better in general
@@samuelpaterson1997 I'm no pro but isn't Podromos a greek unit? Or did you mean to counter prodromos they build Murmillon and katapeltes?
@@fixu-in6pm oh sorry I was taking about the Atlantean cavalry

A bit of a weird comment but does anyone else find it annoying that units push each other around? Are they possibly fixing this or is this ok?
It does feel a bit strange sometimes but it's way better than units getting stuck on each other in the original game

Not this time! 😛
Appreciate you leaving a comment! I've made a tally list so I can try and watch an even amount of each god and hopefully a variety of strategies
