1. Plotting Two variables: Don't use Line Chart, Use Scatter Chart
2. Plotting the point on the chart that graphs the relationship between two variables: Move along x axis a given amount and then along the y axis a certain amount.
3. Independent, Predictor Variable = x
4. Dependent, Predicted Variable = y
5. Scatter Diagram with proper x and y axis labels to see if there is a relationship between two variables.
6. Direct, Positive Relationship: As x increases, y increases
7. Indirect, Negative Relationship: As x increases, y decreases
8. No relationship: no pattern can be seen
9. Add Trendline with linear equation and coefficient of determination (goodness of fit: of the total variation, how much can model explain?)

I checked the data in the finished workbook and the video at 6:35 but I can not find the points that are not selected. I check the resultant calculations also and they seem correct. Can you tell me more about the mistake that you saw in the video?

Question: How can you find the factors of a number y in Excel? Is there a =formula for it? I haven't found anything.
I am trying to find a way to know how much bio gas to mix with natural gas to reach a target BTU.The natural gas flow rate is dynamic but quality is consistent. The bio gas quality changes(input variable). The target BTU is controlled with bio gas flow. I need an excell sheet that I can change the bio btu quality and the mixing ratio will track the dynamic natural gas flow
Hey! How can I show the sample number (1,2,3,etc) in the data labels?
I tried to do a "influence" diagram. Where Stakeholder 1 is affected by a decision to a degree of 2 (1-5, 5 is the highest), but can influence the decision to a degree of 5. When I have say four different stakeholders, how may I show their names in the data label?

thanks for the information, but when I select my data the horizontal axis remains in increments of 2 rather than the data. How do I change that? I tried changing it didn't work it skewed the graph.
With an X-Y chart the axes are inextricably attached to the chart. Change the axis, it changes the chart. That is the definition of an X-Y: along the x axis a certain distance then along the y a certain distance.
