I've been shooting IPSC airsoft for sometime. After a few years of getting used to the competition environment, I moved up to real steel. I use the same airsoft model as my real steel so the feeling and fundamentals are pretty much the same. Great tool.
Been using this for a couple of years now, it ain't the same as live fire but it does help with my draw stroke and aim point besides being cheaper than real bullets! 😆
Other aspects. You can do dynamic 360 drills. Train in buildings. Force on Force. Get some friends together and do some improv acting with your gear. figure out what you might say if confronted in a dangerous situation. Think improv acting a confrontation is silly? better to practice thinking on the fly with responses now than when you need to do it for real. Also after the scenario do a pretend trial. figure out how you can argue you were in fear. Having to try and remember and explain might teach you a lesson about keeping your mouth shut and letting your lawyer do the talking.
Tacticalhyve literally has multiple videos on FonF training with your real, actual, useful, firearm. They have an article on their website about it too. There are even gas blowback laser systems if you don't want to spend bunch of money on FonF gear. Regular laser bullets that go in your firearm exist as well. There are multiple ways to train with your own real firearm that you carry everyday that don't require bullets. All of which are better than anything you can do with a fake firearm.
@@ChadMeme69 But to my understanding. The FoF marker rounds are about as inaccurate as the air soft bbs anyway due to them having about the same FPS. also while yes, holding your real gun has its usefulness. There are limitations with safety and legality that air-soft doesn't have. and air soft is less expensive than any of the other simulation options because of how large the air soft market is.
For airsoft training I would definitely point you towards Hock Hochheim, he’s been preaching this for a long long time, and not just for shooting skills- the airsoft comes out in empty hand and knife/stick training as well. Excellent blend of live fire and airsoft in his gun seminars.
I couldnt make it out on the video, but i have the same airsoft pistol, its a beast. for training, i would suggest using the mags with the co2 cartridges, as it provides a much stronger kick. Mine goes from 330 feet per second with greengas/propane.... to 450 fps with co2 mag.
I live in the suburbs so I can't just shoot rounds off in my back yard. For my son's 4th Birthday I decided to get us all airsoft rifles so we can start having some fun together and teach him the basics. We use metal targets though. Since I can't hear the bang from gun powder, hearing the ping from the bb hitting the target helps satisfy me.
Bio bbs, cheap steel targets on amz, or honor the originals and get tactainers, mantisx is a phenomenal shot timer for airsoft. Build skills with dry and air fire, confirm with live fire. As long as you take it seriously the skills will translate.

I built a foam backstop and trained with airsoft replicas and a holster for awhile before my holster qualification courses and passed top of the class

I can use airsoft for CQB training at home, but I have to go to a tactical range to do those trainings with live fire.

I already had this in mind and besides t Rex video, I've been looking for more videos on this subject and also watching airsoft videos as well
Thanks for the comments

First comment😁..For me it's good way to keep your skills intact in a cheaper way.
Safe, cheap, and fun!
Excellent.

This is an awesome way to train! 👍🏽
Great tips. I’m excited to try it.
ive always said that airsoft supplemented with live fire is the cheapest way to stay proficient with any weapon. and i always get laughed at
My man’s killing it in the Jesus sandals
Combat flipflops
Get biodegradable BBs. They don't go away quickly but in a year they should be gone.
It depends on the conditions but a year is pretty unlikely.

hah. what is the attachment you have on left stump? I have same issue, but right hand gone.
Hang an towel inside it will help work in an cardboard box also. That will collect all bb and you can shoot them again
