You've just added an unfiltered air intake in your cowl. That wasn't a muffler you deleted, but a diaphram that was there to transmit the noise without drawing air.
You've now created a massive vacuum leak by letting unmetered air into the intake behind where the MAF sensor is reading. Your car is running lean and will knock. The factory sound tube is sealed.
@@AdditionSupplyDepotsRequired I’ve been running this for half a year. The vacuum is very weak and doesn’t pull the glove in that much, never had this problem. But then that’s just me
Don’t do this. Letting in unmetered air like this means you are running lean. No bueno! And any debris or dust in the interior is also unfiltered and can be sucked into the throttle. Like others have said, at least use a rubber glove on one end of that hose to prevent these problems. Or, just delete the sound tube and be happy you don’t have to move it out of the way when you do mods later
Clearly, warning lights are part of your mods. Door ajar lights, airbag warning light, soon an engine light, MAF sensor alarm? Meh. You do you! Maybe you ought to route the actual exhaust note from your tailpipe into your cabin with a garden hose! I’ll bet that’ll sound amazing!
I tried it out and sounds great, really odd though coming from the footwell. But my idle would randomly climb to 2k and fluctuate badly with the ac fan on. It needs some sorta seal to stop it messing with the intake air pressure.

Done correctly; i wish all enthusiasts would make noise this way (into the cabin, not out to the world).
Reminds me of an open intake on a Toyota 4AGE. Sweet.

Not if you put a filter on it, that’s what I do, using a rubber glove in between the tube and the firewall hole
@@jackoho5703 the rubber glove fatiguing and getting sucked into the engine concerns me with that option.

I agree.

I prefer the noise out of the exhaust instead inside of cabin, got the good-win racing exhaust and wowwaaa weeewaaa😀 GREAT SUCCESS! High Five🤚🏼
So basically now it sucks not filtered air from the cabin? I don't know if I understood.
no, its after the air filter
@@TheKittenGamer what prevents the dirt of the cabin to go into the engine? It is also after the debimeter so it is not measured air mass.
the same way it did with the stock tube?
@@TheKittenGamer the stock tube is sealed!
Is that end piece sealed? otherwise youll get a CEL
Really cool man! Oh my god now I'm starting to think about doing this as well. Removed my sound tube last year.
It was the first thing I removed lol ordered the part at the dealership before I even had the car 😂 but after this mod I’m like hmmmmmmmm
r u still running the sound tube mod? did it give u any problems? have u tracked it with the mod?

Pretty much trying to make it sounds like ITB 😄
Great job, you succeeded where the Mazda engineers failed and wanted to achieve! Your Miata sounds MEAN now!
wow that is insane. I literally sounds like old honda or toyota motors, I didn't know a modern engine was even capable of making that sound.
That's because they try and make cars quiet and comfortable nowadays so they had a lot of extra stuff to the motor.
I ordered the versus sound tube delete the same day I bought my 2021 brand new at the dealership
Any faults because of this? What size “marine” tube.
My sound tube was deleted prior to my ownership. With the BBR turbo, Maxmid pipe, BBR catless downpipe and SuperQ exhaust, I’m happy with the sounds.
yeah with a turbo it would be a big boost leak
Is that piece you cut off sealed? Sounds great a little different to the mod i first did on mine. You can see how i did it in my videos 👍🏽
I’ve actually watched a few of your videos
This guy should be called mod-boy 😂
Yo that sound tube swap u did at the end was epic
I like the sound tube and I don't need to have a aftermarket exhaust
Does the sound also propagate outside?
Glad I found this eager to give it a try.
nice but I hear the throttle and air so this is not the same as exhaust. The sound is like in Seicento without filters :D
I cant hear it over the GWR Race exhaust 😂
Any issues with check engine light or engine management system?
not for me but a lot have said they got one and you need to cover the other end with like a shop towl
Hose would dimensions would be greatly appreciated.
3/4
sounds awesome!
The round thing on your rh mirror…that is for old people where I live… 😂
doing tomorrow !! Thank you!
Hope you like it!
Ignore all the stupid old boomers here who don't understand how the mod works, the tube is clearly blocked at the end so it doesn't suck any air in
My car is all hacked up.
Really growls nice
What are the dimensions of the hose that you need? I really want to do this mod now.... sounds awesome!
It was 3/4
