Question, for the USB Box thing, I found one with USB-C instead of USB-A. Would you recommend that one? Would it still work or should I get the same one you got?

Thanks to you and a couple of other content providers for all the info. Combined the knowledge of all of your videos and got the AA module installed today in just about 2 hours. Only 1 small hickup, self induced. Now I have a nav display that I can trust and doesn't drive me insane to use.

I just went through this all last night but with the newer module "wireless". TK78-66-9UOC The written directions say nothing about wireless Carplay but the unit is advertised as such and will not work with wired. On Amazon it says to turn off Mazda Bluetooth so as not to interfere. So, iPhone shows it, and then shows me the pairing number but no pairing number ever shows on head unit. I cannot get it to work because of lack of pairing.

I thought you said it was plug and play. You cut more than that one wire.

Thanks so much for making this video! Just did this upgrade to my wife’s new-to-her 2019 RF Grand Touring and it was a huge help. There were a couple of additional wiring harness connections on hers (the power top switch, temp sensor for the automatic climate control, etc.), but the process was the same. She’s up & running with wireless Apple CarPlay now. Thanks again! 👍

You've just added an unfiltered air intake in your cowl. That wasn't a muffler you deleted, but a diaphram that was there to transmit the noise without drawing air.

nice but I hear the throttle and air so this is not the same as exhaust. The sound is like in Seicento without filters :D

Hi, in Europe the spark plug change (by Mazda) is to be done at 100 000kms, modern engines with computer management don't ruin plugs like old engines did. For the filter, I installed stainless steel bug screen over the air intake so that debris and animals can't get in, I didn't install a paper filter as I drive the car mostly open top.

Nice choice going with an enclosed airbox.. Some folks are putting SRI's on here and sucking in all that hot air, lol.. Did you compare this to the AFE Takeda Intake by chance? Similar setup (enclosed airbox)

Don’t do this. Letting in unmetered air like this means you are running lean. No bueno! And any debris or dust in the interior is also unfiltered and can be sucked into the throttle. Like others have said, at least use a rubber glove on one end of that hose to prevent these problems. Or, just delete the sound tube and be happy you don’t have to move it out of the way when you do mods later

I prefer the noise out of the exhaust instead inside of cabin, got the good-win racing exhaust and wowwaaa weeewaaa😀 GREAT SUCCESS! High Five🤚🏼

It just amazes and pisses me how Mazda enineered all this crap so you have to take EVERYTHING apart lol I mean CERTAINLY that was not neccessay! Its like it is all interlocked but mostly for no good reason if you ask me! Older cars maybe 4 screws and you have access to everything....I would SO pay a stereo shop flunky $100 to do all this for me! Especially as I want back up camera added too which involves a lot of the same access
