Milkshake COLD WAR: USA Vs The Soviets 🤨
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 20 май 2023
- I decided to compare the milkshake from my youth to the milkshakes I can easily access now that I live in America. They are both delicious but the differences in how they are made, make drinking them a different experience.

There’s a certain level of pride in his homeland that he clearly has, and hearing him talk about those drinks that came from that place is kinda amazing, and I respect him for that. The Soviet Union was not perfect by any means, but it was still his home, and he still remembers those drinks fondly.
Bro is talking about him like he’s retarded
Well, no places was perfect by any means too.
@@mcdswifi Yeah , but Soviet Union also killed millions of people in forced labor camps and created an iron curtain which suppressed citizens of their human rights . Most places fortunately do not do that ! I'm from Kazakhstan just so you know ! Kazakhstan was a part of USSR and just like Russia still remained a lot of those same terrible policies that are on the fence behind socialism and fascism .
@@Chuchel-hh6hqif you forgot, usa did alot of horrible things too. in the Philippines, they massacred innocent villages, raped alot of women and alot of pretty terrible stuff. so please stop these sht here, i aint protecting ussr or anything but all of us have the good the bad and the ugly, so just respect other people.
@@Chuchel-hh6hq Although you are not wrong at all, we have to understand that both countries (US and USSR) were evil in their own way. It's not like American were giving flowers and plushies to kids in Vietnam for example
I think it's clear who won this "cold milkshake war".....darn that was good
What does it mean?
@@pyrotank1232 It's a reference to "The Cold War", which was a time period that lasted from the 1940s to the 1990s, where the US and Soviet Union held great political tensions. Despite this, there was no direct fighting between the two parties, hence the name "Cold War".
@@stickynotes2040 thank you for explaining so well😄👊
I guess you could say it was served cold 😏
(I know, I’m leaving.)
Definitely Russia. Anything involving American chocolate turns it into over sweet garbage. Countries outside of America knows not to turn their kids into prediabetics by over sweetening their chocolate with artificial sweeteners. It's not only harmful but tastes horrible.
I love the effort this guy puts into his videos.
Thanks!
It's a shame so many interesting things from the Sovied culture went forgotten when the USSR colapsed
i would hope that everything would be forgotten, especially communism
@@TakehisaYuji Considering that Marxism-Leninism is alive and well, nah. Слава СССР!
@@TakehisaYuji take your milkshake and shut up 🤡🍼
@@jakekaywell5972alive and well how? Because a few American college students put a hammer in sickle in their social media bio? Marx is a failure and the ideologies he fathered are dead.
Sadly, the only thing that wasn’t forgotten was the worst of it
Communism
Here in Mexico we have a similar drink called "esquimo", so creamy and foamy, highly recomended, you should try it. Nice videos by the way never miss them
exact same word in russian means chocolate coated ice cream(just basic plombir shown in this video) on a stick
Yeah I tried that one

Живя в Воронеже, только узнал, что в моем городе производили такой миксер)
So I’m from Russia and the best version it’s with different berries, instead of syrup put 10grams of strawberry and blackberry. Then ice cream and milk.Blend it and you’ll get delicious milkshake) Thanks for your videos.
P.S it’s my 1st popular comment)Thx everyone.
As a Bulgarian I’ve had similar from my parents and grandparents. From sofiya btw

You’re the best! Do more videos with no alcohol drinks
I'm on it!
Your content is legendary Vlad, keep it up ✌️💯
THANK YOU!
love these longer form videos where you can include more about the history of the drinks
Let’s gooo. Let’s get some summer cocktails going
First tastes like freedom, second takes you to gulag.
First tastes like war crimes, second takes you to free hospital
The gulag one personally tastes better, its not that sweet
I'm really enjoying these longer videos. This one was fascinating.
I remember having a chocolate with similar wrapper as a child, brought back to Europe by my father each time he went to work in Vladivostok in the 90s. Fond memories. ☺️ Thank you for such a lovely video.
Good job, Tovarisch Vlad!
Cheers comrade
It would taste a lot better with Cadbury bitter chocolate, Hershey has a sour after taste.
It’s true that everything American whether it’s food or drink has too much of everything. I wish we could also taste those russian food and beverages that you’re so proud of. I’m sure they’re not as sweet as most European foods are balanced and consumed in moderation.
Jajajaja jajajaja la comida americana está tan buena y bien balanceada!!!!!!

I always love your videos
I feel like I just came back from school, begging my mother to get me one again. It’s uncanny how many memories can stem from a milkshake
Great video Vlad
I feel for this guy, its clear he loves his homeland, and all that anyone outside of the ussr remembers about it is the atrocities. Its good to know even in the worst, humans find ways to bring joy to eachother.
Sooo ❤glad to see milkshakes, mock tails and other popular drinks
Enjoy
More cold war comparisons plis!
I would like to try them, they look so delicious 😩
You're more known for the shorts/tiktok videos, but I really like these longer videos.
Thanks! Enjoy
loving the longer form videos 🙌
Enjoy!
Oh now I remembered that I had this ice cream, I'm not russina or from Russia, but near me is a Russian store and there was that ice cream. Honestly I tried the chocolate one, but now I will try the vanilla one. (The ice cream was good ofc)
And maybe I will try that shake, because I'm really interested now.
Love the mini history lesson with this one, this video was very well made, cool stuff Vlad 💟
This was absolutely amazing. Taste so fresh. To make it taste more like orange ice cream just double syrup and add one orange slices juice to your mix. It tastes awesome.
Enjoy!
i feel you homie.
Never heard someone calling Kopecks "Soviet Union"
Попробуй добавить в два раза больше мороженного, добавить пять ягод клубники и убрать сахарный сироп... Так становится полезнее и менее приторно)

Day 2 of asking for variations of Bloody Mary
I see Tarkov chocolate i clicked lol.
Неожиданно) Если честно, удивил. Никак не мог предположить что ты воспроизведешь молочный коктейль из моего детства. Мне он тогда очень нравился. Наверное нужно купить себе такой миксер и вспомнить детство 😊
Either it could served as during summer or maybe later Christmas...? most of these milkshake usually served during summer. but in this case since they added chocolates,it may only served during winter ❄️
An authentic american milkshake would use blue bell but unless you want to pay the low-low price of 142 dollars for shipping outside the southern US I think ben and jerrys is fine.
I love your USSR videos thanks for making them
I’d rather there still be late Soviet era USSR than modern day Russia, same totalitarianism (waning) and less killing of once USSR members
I got some of the chocolate in the thumbnail with my package when I ordered things from Russia! It made my month it was so sweet they thought to do that.
You know, I never thought an orange flavored milkshake would be the most popular. I always thought that milkshakes were best with more chocolate/cookie flavors.(cookies and cream, peanut butter, and the like) well, I guess if you live in a nation with almost no access to fresh fruit, a fruit flavored milkshake makes sense to become the most popular.
bro the title be super creamy 🔥🔥🥛
I'm from Mexico, and something I can say from moving to the US was the food back home wasn't made from industial waste like it is in the US. kinda sounds like your saying the same thing lol, and yeah food quality is significantly worse in the western world compared to everywhere else. A big mac does not need a shelf life of 6 months.
Jajajaja jajajaja, no has visto el vídeo de la hamburguesa de Mc!!!!

Come to Texas, we actually have good food. Unlike the rest of the US.
Fast food and food are different things
we had those icecreams in Bulgaria!
Ah yes. I remember the cold war. Wait? Missiles? Cuba? America putting missiles on Russias border? What are you talking about!? I'm on about the war between the U.S and Soviet milkshakes!
“Hershey’s has a distinctive taste”
As in it tastes SPOILED
Don’t worry, Americans can handle it; local chocolatiers make the stuff much, much better.
Please maken a strawberry daiquiri.
With canada currently on fire i am definitely gona try to recreate one of these cold beauties of the motherland. Thank you for all your videos. You and tipsy bartender are what got me into mixology
Mmm. Looks good.
I think I was hoping to watch a video like this from the day I was born. Cuz I like videos like deez which we have a perspective from two enemies, but what's interesting is that no one makes that kinda videos abt food.
Depending on where you sourced the Hershey bar it will taste differently
Man talked Live For First Time 🏆😅
You look so surprised 😂
"Arstotzka so great,No need passport"
Jorji Costava
@USHANKA SHOW should see this and offer his opinion.
You should do non-alcoholic cosmopolitan
At least we all agree that milkshakes are great
I never considered that the Soviet union would have strict high standards for their ice cream, but it does make sense
As an american in the USA the quality varies a lot, either it'll be made as fast as possible often at the cost of quality, or if its at a locally owned and or good place it'll be very good
3:46 “Not too sweet, perfectly balanced” of course comrade it was always perfectly balanced
Bros the type of person to call for Sandvich
Bruh i cant with the title
Could you please do more videos about Russian beverages?
Damn got me wanting to try soviet milkshakes now
World war 2 vs world war 3
3:42 yeah, it's the same taste you get throwing up in a public toilet
I knew who was going to win this taste test when he brought out a Hershey's bar 😁
Whats the instrumental music playing on the background?
Oh I remember that chocolate...it's in Tarkov.
Воронеж - is my city😄
Milkshake time over, back to the mine
How to make chocolate cake with Alcoholic drink?
I was gonna say this is dumb but by the end I was laughing
For the american shake id probably recommend putting a different american chocolate rather than hersheys and if you do put a little less to make it less sweeter
In India we have our own type of milkshake. More creamy and balanced between sweet and sour it called lussi 😋😋🥛🍦
Don’t acidic things cause milk to curdle? If this is true, how did y’all create a non curdling milk
@@RandomRothbardian because we use curd instet of milk. And I think you know that curd is thik and acidic. If you are confused just search lussi in youtube ❤️
I like banana lassi. In Goa also popular special lassi - bang lassi, with cannabis.
@@RandomRothbardian not milk in lassy, but local type of yoghurt called "curd"
@@Livepano that explains it
I tried Ben & Jerry's ice cream once and was blown away by how much it sucks in comparison to even the cheapest Russian ice cream.
Hersheys? You mean vomitchocolate?
I'll the Russian milkshake props for being perfectly balanced, awesome work
Ай хорошо то как, товарищ
please try jimmy's cocktail
🤩😋
this guy is the binging with babish of mixology
Bing ing with babeesh
I got to try that Russian ice cream thanks to my wife. It’s so fucking good 😅
So this was the actual reason behind cold war
You ever had a blizzard? They are about as addicting as crack 😅😅😅
This is my 2nd time watching this video. I'm gonna end up recreating your milkshake seen here. I'm just curious.
Very interesting, I used to eat that ice cream and it’s great, I was born in America but my parents are from Russia so we eat Russian food, we have a Russian store near by where we can get Russian goods including different types of Russian ice cream
i would chop of my right fingers to try the soviet shake as is
Oh hey. The tarkov chocolate.
Not cold war again but...
Coldplay 🗿
It is our milkshake
Is the fat content of the milk important? Can I make it with less fat?
Great video though.
You can make a milkshake with lower fat milk, but it will taste, look and feel different.
The more fat, the creamier the texture. It's like more or less butter.
Thank you! Yeah I tried with almond milk and it didn't work
Cold milkshake war......I see what you did there

Where's my fellow Tarkovers. If you know... you'll know

WHAT!?!?!? no vodka?
In russia they still sell plombir with the original taste and no extra flavors added.
