- During CES (Consumer Electronics Show) I met some former Apple engineers who had created the most powerful portable blender. I was excited to give it a try and see if it can make blended drinks as good as the most powerful blenders we keep in our kitchens.

I believe the 20 second cooldown is to combat overheating, due to the small circuitry and large power draw for the blender it’s very probable that the biggest weakness this product has is cooling and heat dispersion, see how hot the blades are before and after blending! Could even affect how your smoothie tastes I heard but I wouldn’t notice 😂
It does effect taste. I saw a video a while back of someone making tomato soup with just a blender because it got hot enough to cook the tomato juice.
Hi nmspy, Matthew from Cruz™ here. BlenderCap has a double click cycle that runs for 25 seconds so you don't have to sit there with your finger on the button.
The body is also made to get warm when in use, it’s machined from billet aluminum and acts as the heatsinks for the nine high-discharge batteries. Internal thermistors regulate temperature and will pause the unit if it’s ever overheating. The blade is stainless steel and is not in the heat path of the motor and batteries so it doesn’t warm up much at all while blending, it’s the same as any other blender in that regard.

@@CruzBlenderCap I was worried about the waterproofing/ sealing vs heat, but that sounds like it is actually designed very very well!
This reminds me of the classic Apple products like the 32 GB Ipod and other older apple products that used to be very good that I enjoyed, as their modern products I could care less for. Makes sense you guys are former Apple engineers, keep up the good work and the amazing designs!

I'll be keeping an eye out for updates after a while. I have to travel a lot for work so something like this (portable, fairly compact, USBC charging, and powerful) sounds like a great hotel room addition

Honestly, I would want this just because of the size.
The timer is probably there to avoid burning out the motor

Thanks! I was going to mention this in the video but later removed it. I said it would be great if some Ex-Apple engineers would create a blender with removable blades so you can switch it to the tall mixer whisk for milkshakes. 🤷♂️

It's just a viscous liquid.

With them basically blue balling us on their new VR headset this should be a nice palate cleanser
Just don't buy their VR it's a premium product lol and definitely the best in the market there's nothing close to even compare. I'd still wait a few generations until they make it a lot smaller, stick with the Quest.
