  • Bono, the lead singer of U2, and David Taylor, assistant professor of theology and culture, discuss the difference between art and advertising and the need for Christians to trust the witness of creation.
FULLER studio and Fourth Line Films present “Bono & David Taylor: Beyond the Psalms,” a conversation filmed at the Manhattan studio of Mako Fujimura, director of the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts. Interview by Fourth Line Films: Nathan Clarke, director; W. David O. Taylor, producer; John Harrison, cinematographer. For FULLER studio, (including New York City footage): Lauralee Farrer, director; Tamara Johnston McMahon, senior producer; Ronald Allchin, producer; Nate Harrison and Tim Ronca, cinematographers; Patrick O'Neil Duff, editor.
This previously unreleased footage of Bono reflecting on the Psalms, art, and faith commemorates one year since FULLER studio was launched with a premiere of the film “Bono & Eugene Peterson: THE PSALMS.” Watch more and find additional resources on the Psalms exclusively on FULLER studio: fullerstudio.f...

"God's not interested in advertisement. ... Nope, not a Christian tree. Doesn't have a sign on it... That's not a Christian song. That is. This has really got to stop." Love it.

Assuming we know the first thing about God is frankly foolishness. Job was challenged to know how the seas are barred from the land, or how the stars are laid in the heavens. He could not answer. Jesus parables needed clarification, and still we uncover greater meaning in the testimony left in the bible. Bono waxes poetic, but he is not an authority. He's just another voice chatting in the wind, looking for acceptance.
