Every time I get lost in this world I call out to Jesus as a broken man and then I can feel His beautiful spirit fill me with peace, understanding, and love. Afterwards, I forget about all of my troubles and I know that we have a great God in Christ and He will always be there for us! God bless you all and I pray for everyone in this world. Jesus discovered Divinity in himself, he had a great spiritual experience like Buddah did and he found himself to be a part of the universe, of the creation, of everything. This is one reason that I’ve been a U2 fan since the early beginning. The band has made references to Biblical texts in their music for years. Bono is a good man, I was lucky to get to meet him years ago. I wish I could meet him again so we could talk about the Bible!

I love Bono for his clarity and confidence. You can see in his eyes deep thought and the conviction of belief, and also pain and the weight of this real world, but also the hope of making things better; which he and U2 I feel make a difference. I respect him so much.

I went to Catholic school all the way to high school, my high school was Salesian, so we study the differences between religious groups. But the Savior and God and the others all practice being a good person and forgiving as well as try to be the best or be good humans. Thank you U2, I wrote "Purple" for STP and I love lyrics and music. I thank God and Jesus and all the Angel's and Saints for everything up and down in this life of a moment in this time we or I am on this planet earth and universe. God bless all of us.

So i will leave that with God. To be part of the elite normally involves compromising and giving up one's Faith for Fame, Money and Power. Was there when U2 played sunday bloody sunday: "To claim the victory Jesus won."
Was there when U2 played Gloria. Was there when they played 40. Everybody, the whole stadion sang "How long to sing this song, how long to sing this song". I could still hear people sing it half an hour after the concert finished. Awesome Was there when U2 played with B.B. King, When love comes to town. All of that was awesome and just 5 minutes of a U2 song did much more to me then hours in church. Have been to Africa, saw a U2 poster left behind by another u2 fan hanging on a wall in a village (Kibaale, Rakai District, Uganda) where many people died because of Aids.
U2 with their songs have had a mighty influence on the peace proces in Northern Ireland. So they are them and you are you, If you think you can do better: Go into the world and preach the gospel yourself.

What an amazing man to speak of our Lord and our Father. And it shows he has studied. Together with thousands of others, I got to leave my body while hospitalized at the age of 9. Many NDE’s (Near Death Experiencer’s) have met God. All I will say is you cannot imagine how blissful it is to be out of the body and in the presence of God. There are no words to describe it. The interviewer(Gabriel Byrne) is highly respected and well established in this role, Bono & G. Byrne are from the same city and are friends for many years, U2 gave the interviewer a Harley Davidson upon his retirement from the longest running talk show in the world some years back. He is 80yrs old and this IS his well know neutral/objective technique for all his guests in the TV series 'the meaning of life'. I'm just giving a bit of context. People are well entitled to give their critical opinion of him from there...as I'm not campaigning for him. Bottom line...Bono believes in Jesus Christ.

That's what I love about these comments by Bono. Here you have this highly capable, accomplished, and widely respected man who, when the subject comes up, freely says, "Oh yes, I live the way I do because I follow and worship Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I wouldn't say I'm a believer of any particular religion, but I do like the way he comes across in this video, I can appreciate the sentiment and he says it with humility I think. I also think people are being a bit harsh on the interviewer, the whole point of the interview is to hear Bono's opinion, and I'd prefer it not overridden by the kind of interviewer that tries to steal thunder.

God Bless you, Bono, for summing up, in such a simplified way, why you believe in Jesus and that He is the truth and the way to God. I couldn't agree more with you and am so grateful that an icon such as yourself humbles himself to the Almighty by recognizing His existence and sharing your belief with the world; a world where there are many that mock and deny our Creator and his Son. You were also very gentle toward the seemingly hostile interviewer...such class you have. On a different note: I have been listening to your music since I was a teenager...love you and your band!!
There is nothing hostile about the interviewer. There is maturity in respecting older people, who come from different roots and culture. We would do wise to consider them in their context, and to watch and pray for Bono, a man who has some kind of relationship with the savior,... but who IS actually controlling Bono? Is it Jesus Christ , or is it a world and angel so deceptive that even Bono is 'taken in' ??

@@gofishglobal7919 Right, there are many other things to be done; for instance, believe, repent, go to church, walk down aisle, cry, get saved, get born again, tithe, witness. If you do not do all these things, then are you "really" saved? If not, then repeat those 9 steps, keep repeating until it takes.
@@anonymousjohnson976 If you read the Gospels carefully, you will see that they say that one will not be saved unless one does various things. It is NOT just what it says in that scripture verse.

I think Bono provides a great example to all Christians (myself included) on how to respond to questions about God. He's not someone above discussion about the subject and is very wonderful about articulating his belief in a way that is understandable to those who aren't religious by having a good sense of humor and a more personal and thoughtful view of Christianity and the faith.
