  • ➡️ If we choose to follow God, He will help us navigate the difficult mountains of life-even when the odds are stacked against us. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson talks about our significance to God and His plan for restoration that will help us through any struggle. He discusses incidents from lives of David, Peter, Noah, and Moses, showing their faithful obedience to their assignments-and God’s response when their efforts fell short. When we submit to the simple practices that grow our faith-reading the Bible, praying, and intentionally choosing to yield to God’s plans-God will strengthen us for our current assignments and entrust us with more.

Excellent ,strong message. Following Christ in surrender will bring suffering from the world, but also rejection from other Christians. It will mean laying our good name on the altar, and our reputation. If we choose to go outside the accepted norms , not to be defiant of those norms, but because Christ called us to go out, then we will be judged by those who defend the norms. 1sr Peter tells us we are called to suffer for doing good. I want to follow the Lord through this wilderness and endure the hardships in order to set Godly footprints for others to follow so that I do not enter the promised land alone, or die in the wilderness because I turned back from suffering. God said He is “ conforming us to the image of His Son..” ( Romans 8:28-30) That requires suffering for doing good. I started praying decades ago,” God show me myself as You know me to be.” Someone told me that is very scary. I told them that I know something more frightening; waiting for judgement Day for God to show us ourselves as He knows us to have been, and it being too late too repent!
