I agree I mean Gotham knights should have been the sequel to Arkham knight as it would make alot of sense seeing as how your playing as different members of the bat family some of whom were in Arkham knight it’s weird how they didn’t just make that a sequel instead of a stand alone game
As someone who has followed Nightwing in the comic books since the 1980s... I can agree 100% - Gotham Knights is a RPG that is NOT for everyone. I have logged over 400hrs of Co-Op play on Gotham Knights with my brother. I would first recommend it to DC fans who have read the comics, seen the cartoon movies or animations, or read a few of the graphic novels to know these characters. I do not recommend this game to people who have ONLY played any of the Arkham games, because the combat in Gotham Knights requires combo button timing and joystick aiming like Tekken or Street Fighter. I think this game is designed for Co-Op. When you have someone to play it with in Co-Op and you do Team-Up Attacks it is fantastic. Heroic Assault - (the 4 Player raid DLC) has 30 floors where you can play Multiplayer with up to 4 players! The last update was a 2nd level of Heroic Assault with 15 floors that are difficult to beat. Co-Op is where Gotham Knights shines, and it is one of the under reviewed parts of the game.
@@ChampagnPapi The first play through on the story can be really fun if you know and like the characters. I recommend using Heroic Assault to find friends (Quick Matches) ... there is a new layer of fun on this game when you do Team-up Attacks and can plan out silent attacks within co-op.

Lv15 with batgirl alone for high end gears n mods but then please, if u aren't RPG type of player, don't force urself just because it has ur favourite characters in it, I'm tired of seeing non RPG players yapping on RPG games either it's from MMOs that I play or single player RPG games like assassin's creed's 3 latest titles before mirage no one forces someone to play the game that aren't their genre also just so u know, the guy on the video plays the lowest tier hero which is Red Hood, he just slow hard hitter that doesn't hit really hard, that's why he has a hard time playing it, I did grind for Red Hood Lv80 Mythic gears n tested, nyeh... Batgirl, Nightwing, n Robin still do better job redhood can be fun yes, but not for high end/endgame dungeons, if u play with someone u can be just a damage support from distance (even tho nightwing support still better)

I finally got it and I’ve been playing for about 30 minutes I’m at the mission where you go see Harley in black gate and so far I actually like the game…the fighting style is very similar to the Arkham games but a tad different. I like the universe it self one where Bruce and Jim are gone and red hood got an email from Clark Kent so even Superman is confirmed in the Universe

Some criticisms are simply blatantly false. What do you mean the game punishes you for changing characters? What? All characters level up together, they all gain the same ability points together. And every main mission gives heroic gear for every character as a reward. The criticism that they play the same also makes it clear to me that you only bothered with Red Hood and maybe tried the others for like 5 minutes. They all have very distinct abilities, including their heroic travel (you assumed it's jumping for all of them, it's not). Anyway, no offense but this was a weak review. The game is not that great, but at least be fair.
that's exactly the problem with most criticims i see towards this game. i have over 60+ hours on it and i love each character and how they play, how each are better at certain things (robin being amazing for stealth, for example, and red hood for quick fights and more difficult enemies). i dont understand how its almost impossible for people to give this game an actual review that isn't half assed and actually PLAYING the game and it's characters
@@Raccphobic Just looking at his footage I knew he didn't care enough to give this game a fair review. He only played Red hood in the footage and even then he barely used Red hood's main mechanic which was his ranged superiority (being capable of rapid shots/charged shots during aim mod, etc.). He said that the loot wasn't interesting because it didn't have better dmg or elemental effects which is also false since all he did with the loot was just equip whatever is green instead of actually looking at the stats, which do in fact have 5 different elements (fire, ice, shock, stun, acid/poison) with the sixth, fear/terror, being tied to special actions such as ambush, skill finishers and grab finishers/throws, and even engaging/disengaging so as to surprise them again which was cool. And what he said about the characters being the same, all of them focused on melee, shown how little he played them. Red hood is ranged/marksman true, but Nightwing is an acrobat style melee, going in and out of combat using his multiple dodge and pounce ability, Robin is stealth and AoE focused thanks to his bo-staff, while batgirl is a bruiser type going one-on-one with enemies flowing through them using her grapple and smacking them sideways with her flurry. While yes, all of them but Red Hood are melee focused, but what did he expect?! there are only 2 types of attack, melee and ranged, what did he want a healer type and a gadget only support type?!?! (though if they made batgirl use more gadgets that'd be better than the some of her hacking skills such as skill-boost and sensor invisibility that is simply there to trivialize stealth) Overall, I'd say this game is fine, even quite nice if you don't compare it to the Arkham series, which it isn't (no matter how many similarities you may find).

One of the things I commend to the arkham games is the simple Ui designs. It was easy to understand the upgrades and settings and icons,even as a kid I understood what I was doing. Wtf am I looking at here tho, even as an 18 year old im having a meltdown on how the upgrades work and what is what.
At first it was difficult to understand the ui but the game forces you to view all the different aspects of it until it becomes clearer, I personally don’t mind the ui, it really grew on me
I played it and liked it. Give it an 8.5/10 But after all I saw they were doing with Suicide Squad and how they majorly disrespected Kevin Conroy’s Batman in that game, Gotham Knights is insanely better.

I was in the group of people that really enjoyed these games. Some of your criticisms show that you didnt make it very far in the game which is fair if you didn’t like it but the elemental weapons are very important in the end game, if you are leveling up correctly then the enemies actually DONT become bullet spongey, and each character definitely had a unique feel. Batgirl is a bruiser that plays like batman in the original games, red hood focuses on range and brute strength and is much slower, robin is quick stealthy and acrobatic, and nightwing is sort of the balanced middle ground character. The 30fps does suck but i was a big fan of the colorful neon city look after 3 arkham games of dark gloomy gotham. Also, if you enjoy a characters weapon there is a system in place to level it up a few times so you can hold on to it longer instead of changing weapons each new mission. They have the mods you can put on weapons and if you build right you can spec into elemental, high crit, frequent crits or many other options. I found a weapon that builds up my “special move” meter quickly and combined that inherent perk with equal parts high crit and frequent crit with red hood. This game most certainly isnt for everyone but if you enjoy buildcrafting, rpgs, and the combat of the Arkham series i would say give this a shot. I liked it enough to max level all my characters and play through the dlc to get all top tier legendary gear! Once you reach that point there isnt much more to do and it helps that it is on game pass but its definitely worth trying. I think the story with the court of owls was interesting, and online play let me do some co-op since i didnt know many people who were playing this at the time. The traversal is the one thing that needs work, with the exception of batgirl who moves around like batman the other characters dont quite have that same flow (robins is especially terrible). The city does feel a bit empty at times, but the nightly crime watch was unique and could have been improved by a better variety of side quests or at least wuests similar to arkham knight that kept me invested because the affected the story. There are plenty of lore related collectibles and optional reading you can engage with which all the batman games are one of the few games i do that in. Anyways thats my two cents, and i hope yall enjoy this game as much as i have!

@@mrcte im not sure what it was called, i played it on gamepass, but from my understanding some of the heroic assaults were included with dlc, it looks like there are 30 floors to work through and when i played i basically treated this like endgame content. The first several are easy and if i remember correctly there is a level suggestion, but later on the boss fights get pretty tough and unique. Its a great way to get higher level gear and grind out specific gear sets at the level you are already at. I had a pretty cool build where my tonfas for batgirl quickly filled up my special meter or something like that with a heavy focus on crit frequency and crit damage. Was definitely fun for the value of a free gamepass game, but i definitely would have paid 7 bucks for the experience! (In fact i bought it on pc just to enjoy a higher framerste and believe it was $15!)
My perception of this game, while still bad, has gotten much better after the suicide squad game. Particularly in reference to dealing with Batman's death
The Suicide Squad game did a terrible job at representing Batman and they basically spat on Batman and the entire Arkham Series and with Gotham Knights they failed to give the Bat-Family good representation through that game.
there’s so many things u also didn’t cover like how dragged out and depressing the boss fights are like mr freezes and the fact that there’s no point in the game where u can switch between all 4 characters during a fight (literally thought that was the purpose of the game)
I was about to reply to a comment about this other than yours mate, I finished suicide squad last week. While I don’t think the quality of suicide squad should affect the opinions on Gotham knights it’s undeniable that Gotham knights got a rough time and I’ll admit I was one of those hard ass critics. Amazing what playing a seperate game can do on your opinion on a different game
@@JacksGameReviewsit’s only that slow when you play it wrong. Need to do timed strikes, build momentum and use momentum abilities. Can’t spam if you want speed. And speaking as someone who has 1000 hrs in the game you can go just as fast as Arkham.

As a fellow content creator, great job! I enjoyed Gotham knights and liked the story. I chose redhood and switched half way through to robin which changed my outlook. His movement was too slow and clunky.
Im about 6 hours in and im actually having alot of fun with it and im actually really surprised. Im plsying it completely solo and ive played as red hood the most but ive also played as batgirl some... and honestly so far the story has interested me quiet good. And ive never noticed fps too much.. i cant tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps so that doesnt matter to me
my only complaint is the mobility and physics, they took spiderman web swinging in avengers bad and dialled it up by 10, and none of the attacks or movement or anything feel real, or carry any weight. its insane.
I think the game is really good but it’s far from perfect. The combat is really fun, the story is interesting, voice acting is really good and there’s heaps of customisation and upgrades for the characters.
Found this on PS Plus and tbh, im having a great time playing it. Especially after the suicide squad game. Its not perfect, but im definitely enjoying it
I've heard nothing but negative things about the game. It was free or on sale on ps plus and I was eyeing it for a while (admittedly) solely for red hood. I was expecting a dumpster fire and was surprised that the game was actually pretty good. The Good: The beginning was impactful, the chemistry between the characters feels natural and it still feels like Gotham City is a lived-in world. The Bad: Choppy online framerate, combat is slow to start, traversal limited/moreso before alt travel is unlocked, and separate character progression. If you decide to play Gotham Knights, solo is probably the better experience. If you like Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Robin (Tim), then I believe you'll enjoy a decently accurate portrayal of them.
I just finished the game.....and had to force myself to do so. I couldn't wait to get it over with. Too bad because the characters looked good but the map is tiny and the story sucked. Just to name a few of the issues.
Currently playing this on PS Plus, took a while to get into it as the mission structure and having to keep returning to the belfry to have a conversation just to then be able to progress - I just found to be counter intuitive. Got used to it though and enjoying it. Combat is kinda dull, a much simplified system compared to the Arkham Knight games but that does improve slightly as you upgrade. Personally I really like the story with the owls - which is interesting enough to keep me playing in 2024
I bought it on sale, played it once, and then deleted it. At the time though, helldivers was out so my attention was focused on that for a brief moment as well.
its now 11 euros in epic games and i was planning to buy it with my bro cuz its so cheap and for once a batman game u can play with others. That seems cool. Even if it wasnt that good of a game maybe i will give it a chance cuz of the price. Normal price is 70 euros.
Is it just me who struggles to tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps, feel like imma get a lot of hate for this opinion but 30fps has always been plenty for my gaming experience
I thought the same until I started using a gaming PC and playing older games at 140+ FPS and its so smooth not slow and laggy, once you start playing that high, games at 30 or even 60fps feel less fluid and blurrier and laggy, frame rate is more important than high resolution
I think it’s just bc the new gaming console when they came they were flexing like saying 120fps and all this and with this game the basically waited a couple of weeks before it came out to say it was and they still haven’t fixed it and plus there’s games that look way better than can 60 fps like one good thing about ssktjl is it runs like a consistent 60 fps on new consoles
Higher fps is mainly needed for fast paced action games and first person shooters . I prefer 60 fps. But now whenever I watch any movie scenes ( generally shot at 25 to 30 fps) with panning camera movements it feels so slow to me because I'm used to 60.
I agree i recently beat it with a couple of mods (mainly traversal and skins) and its not as bad as people make it out to be i really enjoyed my time with the game
I think it's quite sweet that they needed the three Robins to solve the mystery where Bruce probably could have done it himself. They're supposed to represent the three aspects of his personality; his compassion, anger, and intelligence. I've heard a lot of shit about the game but I might actually check this out as a fan of the comics.
I like the video, well written, however, I don't agree with many of your points. Yes, the story was not the best, but I kinda liked the characters. The biggest bullshit is the take about how bullet-spongy the enemies are. Well, they are not. I played the game on day 1 on the hardest difficulty and then again half a year later. I was kinda pissed off how bullet-spongy the big enemies are on that difficulty, but on my second playthrough, I realised they significantly reduced their health. And no, if you properly level up your gear, it's actually easier and easier, so nowadays the enemies are not bullet-spongy at all when you upgrade your characters.
I’ve been replying Gotham knights recently and compared to when I first got it it’s loads better and my game felt like a smooth 60 this time round not 30 and I had a lot more fun than the first time round honestly
You sound like you've never actually played the game and you're just making shit up when you level up a character it levels up all the characters but you still have to craft your suits and weapons because each character play very differently
Hommie only played like 2 hours and it shows… there are elemental weapons and the “double jump” you can use a lot more then just one time you can keep using it and moving hundreds of meters
I enjoy this game on pc especially since I waited for big sale to play. I think these games are worth $20 or less and I’m totally happy with it. I have a problem with them at $70 tho
I’ve played a few of the Batman Arkham games and this plays just a little better. I’m a big BATMAN fan and to see a slight change on the Rogue Gallery with inclusion of COURT OF OWLS. And League of shadows…. At 23 Level my gameplay has improved with almost all extra move sets open makes me feel I’m not always going to get my ass handed to me by a boss. Plus Glider and Quick Travel thanks to Lucius Fox makes getting around much quicker.
You clearly never played the game for any extensive each character plays very differently you sound like one of those people who only focuses on the melee combat they all have different abilities and weapons that change how they play
Honestly i enjoyed gotham knights but it's got a lot of flaws if it ever gets a sequel i hope they keep the levels to the players only and just have set enemy types instead since that would work better with they're already existing sudo Arkham gameplay
I just started this game 3 days ago, and only because my LG C2 has options that help, does this game look kinda smooth. Otherwise I'd need a new TV that's not OLED to make it look smooth.. Otherwise the game has great details and is pretty fun.. Though a bit confusing in the menu.. Seems like WAY to much going on in the menu, with the whole crafting thing and whatnot.

They look WAY WORSE than they normally would and you need to mess with the settings after shutting off most of the console HDR stuff.. It's quite annoying.. Should have stayed with the same formula of arkham Knight and build and added more to it, i am currently playing arkham Knight after playing the previous 2 games and am loving how arkham Knight improved everything, i don't understand why so many companies are going towards the rpg boring style if its not broken don't fix it
not played the game myself but just from watching trailer and this video I must disagree with the graphics comment, the lighting and the damp effect around the city seems like they nailed it its definitely next gen although there is definitely some sort of visual aspect missing.
I think this game is fine, but average. I think the developers would've had something more loved if the enemies and the bosses weren't so bullet-spongy. I was high leveled for most of the bosses and they still took forever to beat.
Bringing Batman back just to kill him again felt like it was just meant to upset people regarding how everyone mentioned before the game even released that they wanted Batman to be a playable character 😂
I wouldnt mind there is no batman and all, but watching your video, i see a lot of downgrades from batman games .. like how the hell game 10 years before had better graphics, physics than new version? There is something really weird going on in the industry. How the hell 2015 was peak in graphics and physics for games and nothing new really come close.
I'm about two missions in. I don't hate it. Characters look cool. Fighting sequence looks amazing. Will it be sustained idk... but Batgirl is pretty sweet. Haven't tried the other 3 yet.
Funny thing is I played suicide squad from beginning to end hated it, went back to this game after a year of not touching it and my friend and I are having a blast now. Actually enjoying our time instead of the same 3 missions on repeat like sskjl
I'd say in some ways this game is better or slightly better than Arkham Knight. I like the character custimization the most and compared to Arkham Knight I don't think Rocksteady nailed the rpg elements that well I always felt like they could have done better. I feel like Arkham Knight didn't have the best story either and that game felt like a drag for me as well. Also the Batmobile went maybe 30 mph not in tank mode lol. I think I'll give this game a try I like the idea getting loot after a fight I can't think of that ever being a thing in the Arkham series aside from the story segments where you get the Freeze grenades or get the armor upgrades but you never feel like the upgrades did anything for Batman because the enemies can still shoot you to death although you're supposedly wearing bullet proof armor yet I feel safer inside the Batmobile. Also Arkham Knight felt like a dead city too and the only people driving around were either criminals or police officers so every car you hit just happens to be a bad guy so Batman has an excuse to destroy their car. Plus, speaking of Batman I feel like it's a bit refreshing to see a Batman game where it's not super focused on Batman but is more focused on his sidekicks who rarely get screen time and what would have been great to see more in the Arkham games where we mostly got glimpses of them and Barbra wasn't even Batgirl in those games so I kinda think people should slow down when saying the game is bad just think of the things we didn't get in the Arkham series and what we did get in this game. Not saying Gotham Knights is perfect but I think it definitely is a bit of an improvement since AK and a lot better than SSKTJL and most of the player base of that game would probably like this one a lot better.
I really hoped that this and suicide squad would've gotten huge overhauls and fixed the issues and removed the live service shit because i genuinely want to play these games and have a fun time. I love the arkham trilogy, i love batman and DC comics, and i wanted these to be good. But it's unfortunate that corporate greed won out over delivering a solid single-player game and story. Its just sad as a fan to see an adaption or new story in a world/universe i like and care about, and to see it iust fall and fail so abysmally

Very boring game.. Me and my friend tried to play it on launch! Since I like Nightwing and he likes Redhood, they felt very bleh to play as so we stopped after 2 hours

every character has their unique traversal abilities or Knighthood abilities, Batgirl ofc... cape gliding, nightwing glider, robin teleport, n redhood is his lazarus infinite jump ability thing also u play the weakest character out of the 4, the strong ones either Batgirl or Robin, nightwing's strength is decent but he is a support charcter, even tho it supposed to be batgirl because of how weak batgirl's ultimate momentum for DPS, but if u play long enough u will know which character r best then there's Redhood a supposed to be the hard hitter, that got total overall DPS beaten by Batgirl with both Lv80 Mythic gears, n this is a RPG fmgame where u supposed to grind ur gears by getting new mods n gears from doing exploration n clearing sub quests n once u hit the requirements u need to hit the dungeon aka Hero Assault, u don't do this don't expect the game to put a cherry on top ur cake for anyone who read this, don't play the game just because it has ur favourite character in it, look at the genre n it's sub genre, if the genre fits ur criteria then go play it, if not why even bother playing it? no one force u to play the game that aren't match ur genre n criteria I'm an RPG/MMO, Beat em Up, shooter, fighting, racing, n simulation player, also for me someone that play RPG games, I don't like turn based genre so I *_DON'T FORCE MYSELF_* to play every turn based games n yapping about it later on how bad n stoopid it is for waiting someone's turn just to attack, no one force me, so why would I do that? please learn game genres n sub-genres, don't just blindly play games just because "tHey'rE jUsT GaMeS, TheY ArE ThE sAMe, wHiCh iS WhY tHeY CaLlEd GaMeS" or "mY FaV cHaRaCtEr iS iN ThIs GaMe sO I ShOulD pLaY iT!" like for example, I like One Piece fighting games n Musou games, but since I don't like turn based, why I even bother play One Piece Odyssey which is turn based?
I just got it and finally convinced my friend to get it and it’s so much fun, we’ve gone to patrol and the missions are really a love letter to the bat fam fans, the only thing I bother is the base character designs but the gear/suits are great, I really recommend this game if you have someone to play with. I wished there would add a dlc but because of the hate now I’m afraid we wouldn’t see the sidekicks in main stream video games for a while:( either way the characters really make this game fun and the story is really fun I would say better than the bland ps4 Spider-Man 1 story give it a try

also just so u know, the guy on the video plays the lowest tier hero which is Red Hood, he just slow hard hitter that doesn't hit really hard, that's why he has a hard time playing it, I did grind for Red Hood Lv80 Mythic gears n tested, nyeh... Batgirl, Nightwing, n Robin still do better job
redhood can be fun yes, but not for high end/endgame dungeons, if u play with someone u can be just a damage support from distance (even tho nightwing support still better)

I finally got it and I’ve been playing for about 30 minutes I’m at the mission where you go see Harley in black gate and so far I actually like the game…the fighting style is very similar to the Arkham games but a tad different. I like the universe it self one where Bruce and Jim are gone and red hood got an email from Clark Kent so even Superman is confirmed in the Universe

Some criticisms are simply blatantly false. What do you mean the game punishes you for changing characters? What? All characters level up together, they all gain the same ability points together. And every main mission gives heroic gear for every character as a reward.
The criticism that they play the same also makes it clear to me that you only bothered with Red Hood and maybe tried the others for like 5 minutes. They all have very distinct abilities, including their heroic travel (you assumed it's jumping for all of them, it's not). Anyway, no offense but this was a weak review. The game is not that great, but at least be fair.
that's exactly the problem with most criticims i see towards this game. i have over 60+ hours on it and i love each character and how they play, how each are better at certain things (robin being amazing for stealth, for example, and red hood for quick fights and more difficult enemies). i dont understand how its almost impossible for people to give this game an actual review that isn't half assed and actually PLAYING the game and it's characters
@@Raccphobic Just looking at his footage I knew he didn't care enough to give this game a fair review. He only played Red hood in the footage and even then he barely used Red hood's main mechanic which was his ranged superiority (being capable of rapid shots/charged shots during aim mod, etc.). He said that the loot wasn't interesting because it didn't have better dmg or elemental effects which is also false since all he did with the loot was just equip whatever is green instead of actually looking at the stats, which do in fact have 5 different elements (fire, ice, shock, stun, acid/poison) with the sixth, fear/terror, being tied to special actions such as ambush, skill finishers and grab finishers/throws, and even engaging/disengaging so as to surprise them again which was cool. And what he said about the characters being the same, all of them focused on melee, shown how little he played them. Red hood is ranged/marksman true, but Nightwing is an acrobat style melee, going in and out of combat using his multiple dodge and pounce ability, Robin is stealth and AoE focused thanks to his bo-staff, while batgirl is a bruiser type going one-on-one with enemies flowing through them using her grapple and smacking them sideways with her flurry. While yes, all of them but Red Hood are melee focused, but what did he expect?! there are only 2 types of attack, melee and ranged, what did he want a healer type and a gadget only support type?!?! (though if they made batgirl use more gadgets that'd be better than the some of her hacking skills such as skill-boost and sensor invisibility that is simply there to trivialize stealth)
Overall, I'd say this game is fine, even quite nice if you don't compare it to the Arkham series, which it isn't (no matter how many similarities you may find).

One of the things I commend to the arkham games is the simple Ui designs. It was easy to understand the upgrades and settings and icons,even as a kid I understood what I was doing.
Wtf am I looking at here tho, even as an 18 year old im having a meltdown on how the upgrades work and what is what.
At first it was difficult to understand the ui but the game forces you to view all the different aspects of it until it becomes clearer, I personally don’t mind the ui, it really grew on me
They wanted to also do the nemesis system for the talons and the court. But Monolith owns the rights to said system

I was in the group of people that really enjoyed these games. Some of your criticisms show that you didnt make it very far in the game which is fair if you didn’t like it but the elemental weapons are very important in the end game, if you are leveling up correctly then the enemies actually DONT become bullet spongey, and each character definitely had a unique feel. Batgirl is a bruiser that plays like batman in the original games, red hood focuses on range and brute strength and is much slower, robin is quick stealthy and acrobatic, and nightwing is sort of the balanced middle ground character. The 30fps does suck but i was a big fan of the colorful neon city look after 3 arkham games of dark gloomy gotham. Also, if you enjoy a characters weapon there is a system in place to level it up a few times so you can hold on to it longer instead of changing weapons each new mission. They have the mods you can put on weapons and if you build right you can spec into elemental, high crit, frequent crits or many other options. I found a weapon that builds up my “special move” meter quickly and combined that inherent perk with equal parts high crit and frequent crit with red hood. This game most certainly isnt for everyone but if you enjoy buildcrafting, rpgs, and the combat of the Arkham series i would say give this a shot. I liked it enough to max level all my characters and play through the dlc to get all top tier legendary gear! Once you reach that point there isnt much more to do and it helps that it is on game pass but its definitely worth trying. I think the story with the court of owls was interesting, and online play let me do some co-op since i didnt know many people who were playing this at the time. The traversal is the one thing that needs work, with the exception of batgirl who moves around like batman the other characters dont quite have that same flow (robins is especially terrible). The city does feel a bit empty at times, but the nightly crime watch was unique and could have been improved by a better variety of side quests or at least wuests similar to arkham knight that kept me invested because the affected the story. There are plenty of lore related collectibles and optional reading you can engage with which all the batman games are one of the few games i do that in. Anyways thats my two cents, and i hope yall enjoy this game as much as i have!

@@mrcte im not sure what it was called, i played it on gamepass, but from my understanding some of the heroic assaults were included with dlc, it looks like there are 30 floors to work through and when i played i basically treated this like endgame content. The first several are easy and if i remember correctly there is a level suggestion, but later on the boss fights get pretty tough and unique. Its a great way to get higher level gear and grind out specific gear sets at the level you are already at. I had a pretty cool build where my tonfas for batgirl quickly filled up my special meter or something like that with a heavy focus on crit frequency and crit damage. Was definitely fun for the value of a free gamepass game, but i definitely would have paid 7 bucks for the experience! (In fact i bought it on pc just to enjoy a higher framerste and believe it was $15!)

The Suicide Squad game did a terrible job at representing Batman and they basically spat on Batman and the entire Arkham Series and with Gotham Knights they failed to give the Bat-Family good representation through that game.

there’s so many things u also didn’t cover like how dragged out and depressing the boss fights are like mr freezes and the fact that there’s no point in the game where u can switch between all 4 characters during a fight (literally thought that was the purpose of the game)

As a fellow content creator, great job! I enjoyed Gotham knights and liked the story. I chose redhood and switched half way through to robin which changed my outlook. His movement was too slow and clunky.

Im about 6 hours in and im actually having alot of fun with it and im actually really surprised. Im plsying it completely solo and ive played as red hood the most but ive also played as batgirl some... and honestly so far the story has interested me quiet good. And ive never noticed fps too much.. i cant tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps so that doesnt matter to me
my only complaint is the mobility and physics, they took spiderman web swinging in avengers bad and dialled it up by 10, and none of the attacks or movement or anything feel real, or carry any weight. its insane.
I think the game is really good but it’s far from perfect. The combat is really fun, the story is interesting, voice acting is really good and there’s heaps of customisation and upgrades for the characters.
Found this on PS Plus and tbh, im having a great time playing it. Especially after the suicide squad game. Its not perfect, but im definitely enjoying it

The progression does carry over for characters you just have to use the points...and story missions give gear for all 4 characters
I've heard nothing but negative things about the game. It was free or on sale on ps plus and I was eyeing it for a while (admittedly) solely for red hood.
I was expecting a dumpster fire and was surprised that the game was actually pretty good.
The Good: The beginning was impactful, the chemistry between the characters feels natural and it still feels like Gotham City is a lived-in world.
The Bad: Choppy online framerate, combat is slow to start, traversal limited/moreso before alt travel is unlocked, and separate character progression.
If you decide to play Gotham Knights, solo is probably the better experience. If you like Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Robin (Tim), then I believe you'll enjoy a decently accurate portrayal of them.
I just finished the game.....and had to force myself to do so. I couldn't wait to get it over with. Too bad because the characters looked good but the map is tiny and the story sucked. Just to name a few of the issues.
Currently playing this on PS Plus, took a while to get into it as the mission structure and having to keep returning to the belfry to have a conversation just to then be able to progress - I just found to be counter intuitive. Got used to it though and enjoying it. Combat is kinda dull, a much simplified system compared to the Arkham Knight games but that does improve slightly as you upgrade. Personally I really like the story with the owls - which is interesting enough to keep me playing in 2024

I got this game for $3 about two months after it came out. Played it for six hours with a friend, and put it down forever. We were so bored.
I think the biggest challenge was the map loading time. thats why they went with a slow movement speed

I thought the same until I started using a gaming PC and playing older games at 140+ FPS and its so smooth not slow and laggy, once you start playing that high, games at 30 or even 60fps feel less fluid and blurrier and laggy, frame rate is more important than high resolution

Higher fps is mainly needed for fast paced action games and first person shooters . I prefer 60 fps. But now whenever I watch any movie scenes ( generally shot at 25 to 30 fps) with panning camera movements it feels so slow to me because I'm used to 60.

I think it's quite sweet that they needed the three Robins to solve the mystery where Bruce probably could have done it himself. They're supposed to represent the three aspects of his personality; his compassion, anger, and intelligence. I like the video, well written, however, I don't agree with many of your points. Yes, the story was not the best, but I kinda liked the characters. The biggest bullshit is the take about how bullet-spongy the enemies are. Well, they are not. I played the game on day 1 on the hardest difficulty and then again half a year later. I was kinda pissed off how bullet-spongy the big enemies are on that difficulty, but on my second playthrough, I realised they significantly reduced their health. And no, if you properly level up your gear, it's actually easier and easier, so nowadays the enemies are not bullet-spongy at all when you upgrade your characters.
I’ve been replying Gotham knights recently and compared to when I first got it it’s loads better and my game felt like a smooth 60 this time round not 30 and I had a lot more fun than the first time round honestly
You sound like you've never actually played the game and you're just making shit up when you level up a character it levels up all the characters but you still have to craft your suits and weapons because each character play very differently

I’ve played a few of the Batman Arkham games and this plays just a little better. I’m a big BATMAN fan and to see a slight change on the Rogue Gallery with inclusion of COURT OF OWLS. And League of shadows…. At 23 Level my gameplay has improved with almost all extra move sets open makes me feel I’m not always going to get my ass handed to me by a boss. Plus Glider and Quick Travel thanks to Lucius Fox makes getting around much quicker.
You clearly never played the game for any extensive each character plays very differently you sound like one of those people who only focuses on the melee combat they all have different abilities and weapons that change how they play
In my opinion what they were trying to do is basically make it harder if the game play is slightly worse or slightly more boring

I just started this game 3 days ago, and only because my LG C2 has options that help, does this game look kinda smooth. Otherwise I'd need a new TV that's not OLED to make it look smooth.. Otherwise the game has great details and is pretty fun.. Though a bit confusing in the menu.. Seems like WAY to much going on in the menu, with the whole crafting thing and whatnot.

not played the game myself but just from watching trailer and this video I must disagree with the graphics comment, the lighting and the damp effect around the city seems like they nailed it its definitely next gen although there is definitely some sort of visual aspect missing.

I think this game is fine, but average. I think the developers would've had something more loved if the enemies and the bosses weren't so bullet-spongy. I was high leveled for most of the bosses and they still took forever to beat.

Funny thing is I played suicide squad from beginning to end hated it, went back to this game after a year of not touching it and my friend and I are having a blast now. Actually enjoying our time instead of the same 3 missions on repeat like sskjl
I'd say in some ways this game is better or slightly better than Arkham Knight. I like the character custimization the most and compared to Arkham Knight I don't think Rocksteady nailed the rpg elements that well I always felt like they could have done better. I feel like Arkham Knight didn't have the best story either and that game felt like a drag for me as well. Also the Batmobile went maybe 30 mph not in tank mode lol.
I think I'll give this game a try I like the idea getting loot after a fight I can't think of that ever being a thing in the Arkham series aside from the story segments where you get the Freeze grenades or get the armor upgrades but you never feel like the upgrades did anything for Batman because the enemies can still shoot you to death although you're supposedly wearing bullet proof armor yet I feel safer inside the Batmobile.
Also Arkham Knight felt like a dead city too and the only people driving around were either criminals or police officers so every car you hit just happens to be a bad guy so Batman has an excuse to destroy their car. Plus, speaking of Batman I feel like it's a bit refreshing to see a Batman game where it's not super focused on Batman but is more focused on his sidekicks who rarely get screen time and what would have been great to see more in the Arkham games where we mostly got glimpses of them and Barbra wasn't even Batgirl in those games so I kinda think people should slow down when saying the game is bad just think of the things we didn't get in the Arkham series and what we did get in this game. Not saying Gotham Knights is perfect but I think it definitely is a bit of an improvement since AK and a lot better than SSKTJL and most of the player base of that game would probably like this one a lot better.
You know, if you jsut got rid of the Freeze missions, and tweakwd teh story slightly, you could just have this game bein the Arkhamverse.
I really hoped that this and suicide squad would've gotten huge overhauls and fixed the issues and removed the live service shit because i genuinely want to play these games and have a fun time. I love the arkham trilogy, i love batman and DC comics, and i wanted these to be good. But it's unfortunate that corporate greed won out over delivering a solid single-player game and story.
Its just sad as a fan to see an adaption or new story in a world/universe i like and care about, and to see it iust fall and fail so abysmally

Some hate talk. I've seen better comments on worse games
I enjoyed it I have over 80 hours cause I’ve replayed it a lot but feel it’s missing lots of things story is lacking side missions are bad I wish more was put into this game as it was delayed so for this to be the finale project had me annoyed
every character has their unique traversal abilities or Knighthood abilities, Batgirl ofc... cape gliding, nightwing glider, robin teleport, n redhood is his lazarus infinite jump ability thing
also u play the weakest character out of the 4, the strong ones either Batgirl or Robin, nightwing's strength is decent but he is a support charcter, even tho it supposed to be batgirl because of how weak batgirl's ultimate momentum for DPS, but if u play long enough u will know which character r best then there's Redhood a supposed to be the hard hitter, that got total overall DPS beaten by Batgirl with both Lv80 Mythic gears, n this is a RPG fmgame where u supposed to grind ur gears by getting new mods n gears from doing exploration n clearing sub quests n once u hit the requirements u need to hit the dungeon aka Hero Assault, u don't do this don't expect the game to put a cherry on top ur cake
for anyone who read this, don't play the game just because it has ur favourite character in it, look at the genre n it's sub genre, if the genre fits ur criteria then go play it, if not why even bother playing it? no one force u to play the game that aren't match ur genre n criteria
I'm an RPG/MMO, Beat em Up, shooter, fighting, racing, n simulation player, also for me someone that play RPG games, I don't like turn based genre so I *_DON'T FORCE MYSELF_* to play every turn based games n yapping about it later on how bad n stoopid it is for waiting someone's turn just to attack, no one force me, so why would I do that?
please learn game genres n sub-genres, don't just blindly play games just because "tHey'rE jUsT GaMeS, TheY ArE ThE sAMe, wHiCh iS WhY tHeY CaLlEd GaMeS" or "mY FaV cHaRaCtEr iS iN ThIs GaMe sO I ShOulD pLaY iT!"
like for example, I like One Piece fighting games n Musou games, but since I don't like turn based, why I even bother play One Piece Odyssey which is turn based?

I got this for 3$ so close to being worth it
I just got it and finally convinced my friend to get it and it’s so much fun, we’ve gone to patrol and the missions are really a love letter to the bat fam fans, the only thing I bother is the base character designs but the gear/suits are great, I really recommend this game if you have someone to play with. I wished there would add a dlc but because of the hate now I’m afraid we wouldn’t see the sidekicks in main stream video games for a while:( either way the characters really make this game fun and the story is really fun I would say better than the bland ps4 Spider-Man 1 story give it a try
