    Up until last year very few people used a slip bobber rig or popping cork to fish for fluke. I've been fishing killies under a bobber on flats for fluke since I was in my teens back in the 70's.

      @KEPTIFISHING  Месяц назад

      One of the rods had 10 pound braid on it but the other rods that we use for Jigging at 15 pound braid with 15 pound monofilament leader

    Nice videos, just wish you guys were a little more careful in in showing where you fish (yea I know you don't say where) as everyone of your land based videos I either know exactly where or it takes me a moment to figure it out where. A lot of those spots have become overly crowded the past 2-3 years and with crowds comes garbage, inconsiderate anglers and just an over unpleasant experience fishing in places that were once quiet and peaceful

      @@BobLum Yes I know, been fishing that spot for decades.

      @@BobLum is there a particular reason why you felt the need to disclose the location of that spot literally right after this guy put in a request here for the uploader to try and be more discrete?

    • @BobLum
      @BobLum Месяц назад +1

      @@MichaelP0418 bc he's complaining on a wholesome video, just bc they showed a tiny snippet of the area... These type of fishermen ruin the sport bc they're so focused on their own fun and want to keep even this well-known spot away from anyone. I'll keep spot burning spots if ppl think they're entitled to a public space 🤷‍♂️

    • @MichaelP0418
      @MichaelP0418 Месяц назад

      @@BobLum well no offense but that argument can go both ways. Some "old salts" can also make the case that by having people give locations over the web, will also cause tons of others to flood to the spot and make it unfishable with the wrong kind of traffic going there (structure damage, looting, etc)

    • @BobLum
      @BobLum Месяц назад +1

      @@MichaelP0418 That's inevitable for any spot, especially if it's next to a park where kids go... The problem I have is that these ppl just don't want even a single person in "their" spot. They always give the side eye, acting like they own that spot. This isn't even a secret location 🤣, so idk why yall are complaining. This place was filled with ppl back then as well...
