Fished that same stretch of beach you did last week and got a few nice keepers with the nicest being 21in! (find the honey holes in seaside and you'll have some of the best summer fluke action ever!) last year I was catching multiple fish over the legal limit daily but it definitely slowed down this year lol I blame the constant south wind all summer

It’s been weird for me I noticed that when I go out the bite is 100% on when it’s really really early. Once it’s 11am or later the bite dies off not even a nibble.

Agree. I’ve gone out twice early in the morning and I’ve caught fish each time (although shorts) afternoon forget it. Also both times it was on the outgoing tide.
Yeah the outgoing tide has been producing some life not used to be on the incoming.

It's coming to the end of summer fluke normally do thin out its differently not the same as June but at least the fall striper run is around the corner

I should have known you guys would already know about the super tape measure. I think it's the best one I've seen and you can use one of the grey rubber hangers that come on a dry box in that slot in the folding part to make it easier to hang on your surf belt.

Thanks for watching unfortunately the understanding of the fish that are in the upper bay is a bit incorrect. It is not a river system it is a bay that constantly has water coming in and out it is connect the Atlantic Ocean. Thus fish come In and out with the tides. When looking at the striped bass you can tell resident from ocean fish.

I don’t know about you guys but this year has been Nursery Fluke Fishing for me ! Caught about 220 of them only 6 keepers so far. I kept only one so far ! Glad to see you are still picking up keepers at that spot. Keep up the good work! Good luck

We were fishing during the ending of high tide but mostly the outgoing tide
