- Interior designer Mark Schubert invites us inside his beautifully transformed 1920's pre-war home in Chicago.

When Mark first laid eyes on this space, it was a shadow of its former art deco glory. Previous renovations had stripped away much of its character, leaving it neglected and dated. But Mark saw the potential to breathe new life into it. With his expert eye for design, he revitalized the space and seamlessly blended the traditional architecture with his personal contemporary style. Enjoy!

I seldom comment on this channel but was captivated very quickly by the owner !!!. Fabulous house divine in fact. Imagine coming home to this and the end of a busy day. Love love everything about it. Best wishes from Scotland. x
Definitely fell in love with the kitchen lay out even though the overall style was far removed from my own style. Thank You!
Great guy. Great home. Great tour. Thank you!
Very happy to have so much Chicago lately!
Love his space. The kitchen and master bedroom is absolutely gorgeous.
Masculine indeed, inspiring and thoughtful design. Love the kitchen best of all!❤

I have never seen soo much symmetry! It's interesting! Cool that you shared your home with us. I enjoyed the thought process behind the kitchen
God bless symmetry. I am here for it

Lovely space
Delightful
Reminds me in some way of the home of Jessica Lagrange here on Homeworthy. Everthing fits so well !!
Love allot of the design very crisp....is it me or is it impossible to stand in front of the oven and open it??
it is beautiful style , love leopard wallpapers , light stylish sofas, table lamps, for me would be fireplace too dark, i prefer white, love black book and decoration wardrobe shelfs, ficus lyrata so nice for interior, colidor and crane wallpapers just beautiful. the kitchen is just blows my mind, love it!!!!!
Love 21st century art deco vibe. Rugs are gorgeous.
What is the paint brand and color of the kitchen cabinets? Love
Beautiful Home! Lovely Home !!!!!!!
Amazing home!!’❤
Amazing!!! Love that Divine Savages wallpaper!❤
Me too. Especially the cats in black tie!
The dining room rug doesn't fit right. Take it wall to wall or take it out. 💙😎
A great plus of taking on such a task is the ability to soundproof the home before decorating
Why did they blur the paintings?!
Loved this video, especially loved the flower arrangements a 10!!!!
The kitchen is gorgeous!!
This home is one of my favorites
Anyone have the @ of the artist for the first big art in the living room wall?
These tours, once enjoyable to watch, have become down-trodden with “designers” over emphasizing every detail… 😢
You mean promoting their businesses ? Yes the whole place is OVER DECORATED ....
Endless platitudes....no style
Wait I thought this was what happened to this channel as well. As a long time subscriber, you would think that they would listen to our preferences over their profits through these infomercials for interior designers.
Some are good quality but now I’m beginning to think of unsubscribing to this interior designer business promotional videos.
Anyway, everything u enjoyed is free.. then please unsubscribe@@fishercourt
It’s actually great to see lesser known interior designers get the clout they deserve. He’s offering something fresh compared to the designers who find some bottom of the barrel vintage “vessel” put a stick in it, call it ART, in an endless sea of beige black and white rooms. It’s good to see designers on this channel show how they live to offer us some ideas about to approach our homes ❤
Well kept
Really like the flat and interior
I love the kitchen, home worthy is my favorite channel❤
👌THANK YOU , Homeworthy for standing up for our freedom of speech and not allowing unnecessary hate & insults on this WONDERFUL CREATIVE CHANNEL!✔🔝💯 GREETINGS & BLESSINGS!💙💚
As a loyal subscriber, I feel like this channel is changing into an infomercial for products and interior designers. This is not how it used to be and I miss the quality of the format. For that I say I am not a hater, I’m someone who has a right to express my feelings in a respectful manner. If you are that sensitive to comments, then maybe you might want to look into what is causing your negative attitude towards other people who might have valid reasons for their changes in content. Unfortunately, your message comes across as rude and disrespectful.
@@fishercourt Opinions are not facts. I got tired of seeing these types of comments so I went back and scrolled through their videos from oldest to mewest. Theyve always featured a large amount of interior designers then as now. The videos were 75% interior designers as well as bloggers, stylists, social media design influencers, home decor business owners, with some high society/ultra rich people sprinkled in.
All of those folks minus the high society rich folks have been promoting their brand, so I’m not sure why you’re all of a sudden up in arms. The only difference is that there’s been a few less mansions, which I prefer.
Very well done interior. I especially appreciate the gentle masculine edge, the gorgeous art, and the fabulous bespoke rugs. Often these videos become tedious with the homeowner divulging a bit too much detail on every object, regardless of how unremarkable. This designer, however, describes his pieces in a very instructional/enlightening way so that we understand his creative process. His beautiful kitchen layout is especially astute (very few steps in the work area), and reflects his restaurant experience.
Love love their lovely home, amazing space to come home to Blessings

Symmetrical 🙄🥱
Stunning.
Your textured hallway walls are the same as my living room. My house was built in 1873, but I'm not sure the plaster is original to the structure.
Wow such a sexy and moody apartment love it .
I know ambient lighting is good but there’s wayyyy too many light sources in his living room. It’s distracting.
Incredibly dark home. Maybe film production affected the lighting. But at least it's not in Texas...
Who is "we"?
His partner, “Michael.”
Every single host uses the word “we,” even if the person is single.
However, this guy has a partner that he lives with in his home.
Fake plants should be illegal!
Fake grass is worse.
Dining room table nice, brass lights on table not needed.
That television cabinet in the living room-YIKES! Perhaps another color? Otherwise, feels very IKEA-ish. Nice design elements here and there, but nothing really moves me.
Sacha
That kitchen is sexy but I don't think you need the lamps on the dining room table
Far too dark a design for me, but to each their own. Not cozy.
I think he need more things that are idk, "impactful"?🥸
I agree, to much clutter
😂
