Disneyland food slays WDW food!! Disneyland pass holder here who’s been to WDW several times and was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with the food at WDW. There are many visits that we go just for the many seasonal options. All the treats at the small quick service carts and the plant based options is the best advice here.

Thanks so much for a Disneyland video. It just doesn't get the same love as Disney World. I know it's smaller so maybe there's less to talk about, but it feels good when you do.

I just had to rewind to make sure I wasn't hallucinating when you pronounced "challah" incorrectly. Challah is a Hebrew word, and when pronounced in English, the C is silent, so it's pronounced more like "hallah". If you want to pronounce "ch" the Hebrew way, try making an "h" sound, but slightly tighten the back of your throat so less air gets through. (Hope this comment doesn't come across as rude! I love your channel! I just couldn't stay silent on this matter LOL)

So, SO happy you talked about the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn! People NEVER believe me when I tell them how amazing it is, until they actually try it. It is a personal requirement that we go there at least once a visit (yes, sometimes it's been more than once..).

One of the great things about Disneyland is that (if you wish) you can scoot out of the park, and "real food" is just a short walk away!

I concur. The eateries up and down Katella make this a viable option when you don't want park food. Flemings, Morton's and Roys Hawaiian.

Thanks to AJ, and your whole TEAM! I have some recent updates you/your viewers should know about! I literally just returned from 6 days at both DLR parks (9/8-9/13) & a few things to note so other's aren't disappointed or have unmet expectations!
1)Don't forget that Joffrey's coffee is at Jolly Holiday and several other quick service spots in both parks, CHEAPER than ANY of the local SB's, and at least as good for a basic cup of Joe! Also remember that even the "off property" nearby SB's are MORE expensive than what many people are used to because they are "Disney priced"! I learned THAT the HARD way on my last day in town!
2)BEST to check on WHEN the bread pudding item at DCA's cappuccino cart is available during the day. The current bread pudding option (maple bacon) is considered a "breakfast" item and ONLY available until NOON (or sold out, whichever comes 1st!). When I TRIED to get it after dinner as it's more PROPER DESERT, I was VERY disappointed to be told this news! (Ended up getting the "fluffy cheesecake"" but wish I'd remembered that Baymax macaroon seen in this video because I found the former VERY disappointing as well!)
    3) I DID get the GIANT Pym Choco bar to take home, TWO in fact, and NEITHER were "pre-packaged" or even wrapped! I had to cut them in 1/2 and put them in a paper "to go" container myself! Fortunately, YOU taught me YEARS ago to bring LOTS of zipped plastic bags of various sizes with me, so I was able to cut & store the bars into manageable pieces for transport! (Also took your lead and brought home some of those Peanut butter bars & churro toffee's too, lol!)
Good tips overall! In fact, the ONLY "leisurely" meal I ended up having was at Tiana's Palace and even that was quick service! I just took my time to relax, eat, and enjoy the new vibe! The rest of my "eats" were relatively fast and affordable, thanks in large part to your guidance over time. So, thanks for all you do for all of US!

More of a WDW topic, but after the coffee mention in this video, really want a deep-dive look at Joffrey's offerings compared to Starbucks. Not a 'bucks apologist, but yeah, the familiarity of it definitely is something that makes those lines so long.

My last visit to Disneyland was about five years ago. My friend and I ate in a restaurant in New Orleans Square and each ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich. When they were FINALLY delivered to our table they were both so greasy they shimmered and each could be seen sitting in a visible pool of cooking oil. NEVER AGAIN!

I was very unimpressed with the table service choices at DLR. We had a reservation at River Bell Terrace and when we looked at the menu, we were sorely disappointed..we actually ended up leaving. They had changed their menu right before we got there and it was very underwhelming. We did love the Plaza Inn fried chicken dinner though! Best deal of all!

A few more come to mind. Beignets. We hit up Mint Julep first thing on September 28th and bit into our first tasty treat only to discover they're AIR FILLED!!! These are NOT Disney World Port Orleans French Quarter Beignets!! You mentioned Docking Bay in Galaxy's Edge but DL's Ronto Wrap is FAR superior to World given the additional protein and spicy sauce included. I see a few comments below unhappy with table service. We managed both Carthay Circle and Blue Bayou and had incredible meals while there from September 27-30 last month. I'm guessing consistency is a challenge?

DON"T EAT the Chile-Mango Dole Whip at the Tropical Hideaway! You know you're heading into bad territory when you order the Chile-Mango Dole Whip and the castmember asks, "Are you SURE you want that?" The chamoy syrup just didn't do it for us. It wasn't spicy, which is what we were hoping for. I would totally get it again without the syrup, however, because the pineapple - mango swirled Dole Whip was great, along with the mango chunks and the lime seasoning. It came with a candied mango slice as well. So, all that was good, but that syrup made it... unpleasant to eat. The castmember was generous and took pity on us and gave us a credit for a replacement whip. It was our friends' first time at Disneyland, and it was an utterly disappointing way to introduce them to Dole Whips!!

The best meal was at a place they closed down, Steakhouse 55 (SAD!); and Carthay Circle is a close second.

Eating is the only thing I'm really dreading while being inside a park 4 days in a row. I'm Canadian and all these American foods are just killing me 😆 not that we don't have greasy options here too there's just a lot more healthy options that I'm accustom to. Everything I see at USH and DL parks are too greasy, too sugary, or too starchy (breads)!
