In this video Rob rides a 5'2 Go Fish in France. He also talks you through what he feels on the Go Fish, the kind of waves the board likes, and much more. Like the best fins for a Go Fish (Hint: they're by Futures).
Our favorite part of this video is the way Rob finishes his turns on this LFT shape. And we're anxious to release more surf clips showing Rob on the Midas and Melted Butter in coming months. Two other LFT shapes he designed.
The Go Fish hit surf shops in late April and quickly sold out, and there are only a few around right now at shops, but more are coming. So if you want one, tell a shop near you to hold one when the next batch comes in late June.

What Traction Pad does Rob have on this board?

This video made me want to make a fish with my shaper and I did it. Since then I've taken such a huge appreciation for this type of surboard and surfing. This is what surfing should be all about. Thanks for teaching me once again what a pleasure surfing is, Rob.

Haven't got a clue what 'Les Landes je suis en route!' means, but you make it sound so good, I'm tempted to start shouting :).
it means "les Landes, i'm on my way", such a cool part of France. Nice vidéo, not only about doing the strongest turn. need more vidéo like this!

One of the sickest videos ever IMO. The way Rob surfs that fish is so smooth. The board just floats and is what I’ve been searching for. The key....volume that fits you. Plus it helps to be 150lbs. 🙂
I might try that board but in a 5'4 or a little bigger. I'm 160-162 most of the time and I don't see myself slimming down to 150 either haha

the Go Fish needs to be remade in the helium tech as its a classic fun board , which everyone liked, it was not the strongest in the LFT , the helium would suit it better than the seaside , plus firewire dont really have any dedicated twin fins any more kind of loosing the battle against other brands like JS ,Album and even DHD which are more performance board based , which still caters for twin fin fishs every surfer needs one in their quiver. I think firewire are not making boards like they used to which always looked futuristic like the Vader the construction is good just need it to be on some of the classic shapes every one liked in the past.
This definitely. Love the new shapes. But bring back a couple runs of the older modes.

Surfed with a guy in Cardiff yesterday .9/9 18 who had one of your boards .and I told him I road a similar board in 1975. but you had to keep it going rail2rail if you stopped it stopped. looks like you fixed that. good luck to you see you in the water one of these days

Hey Rob, Gordon here. this is by far the best surfing I've ever seen done on a basically traditional Steve Liss fish template. Your seemingly effortless shredding and seamlessly linked manuevers with no hang upsis so amazing in this video. Your surfing here is super soulful and yet technically extremely radical and advanced. Which is interesting because the standard fish template like this, usually has glitches in turns tight to the pocket, due to the straighter more parallel rail line in the back half of the board. I like this board better than your newer versions.
