Well done Steve on your weight loss, I’m sure you feel much better, especially on the knee situation. Thanks Steve for the tour.
Hopefully it will help, thank you.
Beautiful day for a walk in a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers 🍻
My pleasure
That's a great little beach & a wonderful path up to the church. It isn't great underfoot, but the views are so good.
I always like to walk around the headland
Gracias Steve, yo hubiera aprovechado para comprar en el Cidóñ, en la Ferretería Kompás y comer en Casa Paco.
Saludos.
De nada Eduardo
ONE WEEK TODAY!!! 🎉
Exciting
I use to stay in ses oliveres I’ve had many of breakfasts in the flinstones sad to see if not there any more! Beautiful area coming to palma nova in august. Very excited
Hope you have a great time.
The first beach we went to in Mallorca. Miss diving and partying in that cave off the point to the left. And that huge ass hill to upper Portals to the right. Best place to see a lot of sole. Never did take that path up the hill across to the Church Bar and pebble beach. I think the Jorge garage toward the end was where we used to rent our car. Brought it back once a week and they hand washed it.
Great memories
Nice, reminds me on vacation in Cant Picacort
Thank you
Well done stevie on your weight loss keep up the good work
Thank you for your encouragement Mary
Steve, brought back memories for us. We stayed at the Hotel Fabiola around about 1984. Can you roughly let us know where it was? Steve & Ang
We used to live not far from the Fabiola. As I walked behind the supermarket, Cidon, if I had continued, instead of turning right, I would have arrived at the rear of the Fabiola.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca Thanks Steve. Is the building still there? We will be coming to Mallorca in September, so may have a look.
It is still there as a building, but it has changed a lot over the years. It was an old people's home for a while. I think it is now residential. I've not been past for a while.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca Thanks Steve
When did it change from the Iberostar Grand?
Not sure, but it was surrounded by a steel fence during the winter
Oh no, when did they close the corner shop ? 🤔
Miguel's seems to be part of the hotel now, right ?
Yes, it's all change down there.
On the topic of weight loss: opinions are divided on how to lose weight. My whole life was and still is about being too fat. But when I got type 2 diabetes at 51, they asked me to check the sugar content index of food and I thought here we go again....Indeed it works excellently and you maintain your weight without major fluctuations. The secret is to cut out carbohydrates drastically. Sports are unhealthy and are often poorly practiced without medical supervision. A brisk walk in a wooded area or by the sea is very good for stress relief and, if you are older, for mobility. The entire sporting event is marketing with trillions of profits. It has been proven beyond doubt that 80 percent of diseases originate from the digestive system. What you eat and how is very important, but when you go shopping you see 90 percent unhealthy food, it is now very difficult to buy healthy guaranteed food, who can and has the time to grow their own food, because we live in a survival mode where food shortages are created to pursue the 2030 agenda.
Exactly, that is basically what I have done, cut down on carbohydrates. We don't normally eat processed food and are lucky to have lots of locally grown fruit and veg. I have cut down on meat and alcohol as well. I was offered injections by the doctor, but said I would prefer to try without them. The encouragement of the nurse, who is monitoring my progress, has been a great help.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca Glad to hear this because you don't have to go hungry but you can still enjoy yourself. Sometimes I have a cheating day, usually when I have visitors. Thank you for your response and stay healthy and thanks again for the beautiful vlogs. Greetings from Almeria city.
Hi Steve, would it be possible to have another update on hotel tropico? We are saying there next month and would love to know if they have opened/ what the progress is! Thanks
They are due to open on Saturday. Today they were putting out the terrace furniture, attending to the plants and a lot of tidying up. Still two big skips outside, but they will soon go. The rooms all have curtains in place and table and chairs on the terrace. It's looking pretty good. I have seen a message that said there may be some small disruption next week, but I don't think it will be much.
@@SteveandAnitainMallorca Thank you for the update Steve, much appreciated!
