Time is running out to take part in my £2,000 Grand Seiko Giveaway....ruclips.net/video/2Ny-kT1V5ek/видео.html
Somebody is going to have a Fantastic start to their New-Year!..
Oh! Love the square one! Fantastic!
That square one is a jaw dropper.
LOVE that square one!
The square one is stunning!
amazing watches. the square one look so good.
Two nice Seiko's but by the time they have been to Japan and back for servicing, straps and boxes the cost is rising. The first watch was £ 500 + Taxes and the second one £ 600 + Taxes before you start improving them. I know the movement is rare but thats a lot of money for a second hand 3 hander.
Absolutely love the square one, Oh how nice it is!! Great video, Cheers Gary
They both look stunning. The square/cushion case one is beautfiul and would be a great conversation starter
Love the square one
Gorgeous!!! Especially the grey dial.
A friend of mine got a Seiko SARA as a wedding gift from his bride. She certainly picked well!
For sure she did
The square one for me. Stunning.
That square one is gorgeous. Keep it!!
I think I will
Massive seiko fan here
Great watch at a good everyday price
The first one would be a great giveaway. I sure would love to have it
The 2nd one is looking really great!Love that case and shine! Can't believe they are second handed. really good condition!
The height of good taste. Seiko do square watches extremely well but the first one is very desirable also. Personally I would be keeping both. Thanks for sharing.
Watch #2 is gorgeous
The 2nd one is very nice, and you should definitely keep it. It looks much better in video than in a picture.
Gary, while you have the ear of Seiko UK, can you please ask them if they could introduce a service where they sell manuals, tags and boxes, everytime I've spoken to customer services they can't or won't sell manuals, boxes, etc. For manuals they point you to their website where you can download a PDF, they don't seem to understand that collectors want the actual printed manual, I think they could do a nice sideline in selling manuals, tags and boxes, or seeing as you are round the corner from them, can you buy wholesale and add a section to your eBay store? I'm sure there's enough business out there, could be another revenue stream for you!
Great idea!
Interesting...
Little gems from a different seiko era. i had no idea about the existence of that movement.
They're pretty gorgeous - really not sure what I think you should do with them!
Those are very nice indeed! I really like the rectangular one, but I love the dial on the round version and that's the one I would choose. As you're not so keen, maybe give it away........to me 😁
Lol…
I’ve recently found a desire for white/silver/champagne coloured dials and also rectangular/square cases… so that second one is ticking all the boxes!
At least a good looking Seiko movement, I generally hate how they look like. It is quite close to a Miyota 9015, isn't it ?
Nice pickups. Must be a good independent watchmaker in UK who can service and refinish them. Probably save a good deal of time and money too.
The second case shape, with the first dial colour and as a non date would be perfect in my eyes especially if it was brushed....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Love vintage watches in general but old Seikos are special which is a shame as modern Seiko's just don't do it for me. The 011 is gorgeous :)
The round one is much the nicer of the two. Not so keen on the square one but as you obviously like it a lot in your shoes I'd definitely hang onto it as it's probably unlike much in your collection.
They look great
Seiko does dial design game so well it isn't even funny. Incredible! Both of them.
Both lovely watches Gary, I actually prefer the black one but would wear either! Definitely a good move to send these rarer movements to Seiko for service. In my experience they don't charge an arm and a leg and the work is guaranteed. You could probably find someone such as the chap ftom Nekkid watch channel to polish those cases very nicely, but they're pretty good as they are too.
wow! They look amazing!! congrads!
A new one for me, pretty cool. Thanks for sharing Gary.
2 lovely watches there. Keep them if I was you as they will be worth a lot more in a couple of years 👍🎄
Interesting to see the movement has a micro adjust like the SW200. makes life so much easier. Both nice watches, but a tad expensive in my opinion
That’s probably because they are basically Seiko’s take on ETA movements with geared winding instead of Seiko’s usual magic level.
Wow, love both but the square one is super classy. What's the accuracy like I wonder ?
Very nice indeed. I don't know why these old Seikos always look more classy and better made than the latest ones.
Gary mate..... never heard of them... I will have to do some digging.
Lovely watches!!
Two great looking watches. Either for me , I don’t own a dress watch. Cheers Gary
A bit on the expensive side when you factor in VAT and then the cost of servicing followed by getting the case repolished.
I think I’d rather spend the money on a new watch with a Swiss movement instead of getting one of these with Seiko’s take on Swiss movements.
SARA015 is the gem of my collection. Awesome timepiece. I think I will enjoy it today :)
Absolutely….it’s a special watch no doubt!
Both great looking watches. As always love your channel 👍
Much appreciated!
In a word... Lovely!

Hey Charles, very kind and appreciated…thank you for supporting me and my channels!
@@ILikeWatches2is the cheque in the post as well? 😉
They look amazing, grate job as always 👌🏻
Dos grandes hallazgos, me quedo con el segundo 👍
Giveaway on the black one would be nice:)
Exquisite movements compared to my Seikos! Keep em both! But perhaps source straps and servicing from somewhere other than Seiko Japan. Merry Christmas and congratulations on a fantastic past year for the channels!
Thank Brian
I love the SARA011! I just did a search for that one and the ones available on ebay are $1300 - $2000+ Ouch!
Yeah, you can see why I snapped this one up!
Great finds, I really like both watches. A bit on the expensive side, but yolo!
You could probably create your own store with the amount of watches you’ve bought lately
Yeah, my eBay store has been busy as I have to sell them to buy more sadly.
Dauphine hands that reach the markers are usually a recipe for success. Japanese enthusiasts call them "strong hands", to contrast the cheap watches which have shorter hands because the movements don't have enough torque. The dial designs are very polarizing though, not for everyone.
This is the first time I have ever agreed with a champagne dial. Nice.
Sweet! Again these represent what Seiko used to be, these watches are nicely made with some attention to detail like the capped second hand. The cases don't look too bad, you do have some experience in detailing, could a Cape Cod cloth perhaps do the job?
Yeah, it wouldn’t take much to sort these
Amazing finds. I've been eyeing the SARA011 for awhile. I kinda have the grandfathers of the SARA011 and been thinking adding this to the collection. Would you be able to tell me the thickness of the SARA011?
Nice watches
Nice finds.
What really puzzles me is the naming convention. Japanese language has no sound "L". There are no words in Japanese with this sound. In adopted foreign words with this sound its substituted with "R". Now, how they even know what movement they are talking about if "L" in lets say 6L35 substituted with "R" and it sounds like 6R35. Mystery.
The obvious answer is that you send it to me. The nicer one (THE FIRST ONE) that is.
@user-fm8es9ol8x you aren't even trying anymore.
Dimensions, beats per hour?
Are these dials using the shippo enamel technique of the SARA021?
also I very nearly pulled the trigger on both of these - the delivery must have been fast as I was looking at them only 2 weeks ago or so - but decided to save up for the SARA021, which is a grail piece for me. I'm glad you're enjoying them though. They are both beauties!
Surely a service by an independent in this country would work out quicker and cheaper?
This would be a great collaboration with @Nekkidwatchmaker ....🏴⌚🏴⌚
@@briancolyer8483 that would be awesome, he is such an absolute legend!
That's a possibility for sure but there's no need to send a Seiko overseas for service as local centers are in every country just about, and probably better to use Seiko to service the rarer movements like this as it comes with a warranty and they don't charge a huge fee. However Nekkid watchmaker would be great for cleaning up those cases👍👍
@@brianmsahinobviously the UK service centre doesn’t service these as he said Seiko said they have to go to Japan.
@@murph8411 Watch the video again my friend. Gary said that the UK service centre cannot reburbish the CASE, take out scratches etc, it would need to be polished in Japan.....the movement can of course be serviced by Seiko UK. Pay attention!
Immediately searching eBay for Seiko sara
Lol…I suspect there will be a few people searching now…
I'll take one for the team and have the grey-dial if you don't want it ;)
Very kind….I’ll give it some thought!
Why were the 4L movements discontinued?
Good question.....they were considered a good quality movement but they were put into mid tier Seiko's which didn't sell well....maybe they felt the 6r15 was adequate in the end so making two movements to put into similarly prices watches was a waste...
@@ILikeWatches2 Cheers Gary!
please sell me the square one gary xx
I wish you’d give us dimensions
Wear the hell of them is what I would do
I need more arms!
@@ILikeWatches2 you and me both brother
Ahoy, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
So nice
