@@Mruck_Trop Oh man I loved it, but I knew what it was getting into it. And I also totally get why so many people dislike it; it has completely different hooks that most gamers are looking for. It's all about the exploration, vibe, and planning, and takes its time. The beautiful views, the music, the atmosphere, that feeling of lonely adventure. On the other hand, the combat sucks, the story is good but inconsistent (and hidden behind mountains of expositional text), and "survival"/realism elements in games are always *super* tedious for the people that aren't into those features.

Penguin Monk, I gotta be honest with you here. You're right. I think one of the coolest parts of Dunkey's videos is his immense ability to subvert his true thoughts, beliefs and intentions with, as you say, engrossing, rich commentary that you normally couldn't find anywhere else. Dunkey's videos all sort of have an inexplicable charm to them - a format, you could say - that can so easily reel you in as if you were navigating through a catalog of your own subconscious. I.e., he strikes exactly where he knows you're going to be enticed and where you're finally going to feel represented, or at the very least cared for by his capabilities in the craft of coordinated cinematography and personal feelings. It really just feels like he's some sort of magician, some omniscient entity who can so beautifully give you a moment to yourself in a whimsical wonderland of love, respect, and most importantly, what a lot of people have lost during these depressing times - taste. Of all conceptualizations Dunkey understands, it's taste - he knows when he sees a good video, a good game, or a good comment. He knows when he sees a bad video, a bad game, or a bad comment. His tastes are completely, absolutely, undeniably perfected to the point of which even a long, boring rant that you think is actually agreeing with you is actually just that;

Can't agree more about "It takes two", I was just looking for a coop game to play with the missus, wasn't expecting much, but we're having a total blast. Blown away by the diversity and the constant reinvention the game offers. As soon as an idea starts to get just a little bit boring, it switches things up entirely, really cool.

Honestly, it's one of my favorites. Somehow the huge dead open world with repetitive missions felt a lot better than most huge dead open worlds. I'm looking at you ubisoft. Kojima you're crazy for this one. But I don't disagree at all with anyone who says they hated it. I don't think I would recommend it to many people at all, but it was sorta my zen relaxing game for a while. except when you fall down a mountain or something.

Fucking love dunkey's takes, reviews and opinions. He's honest, he speaks his mind and he has a great understanding of what he is talking about. + dunkey is a comedic genius. Even if you disagree with him, you still gotta admit he always makes a great point containing a valid argument. Videogamedunkey, once again, thank you for your great work.
I’ve been watching him for years and the more time goes on I realize that he is very biased towards Nintendo games (Mario) and doesn’t give other titles fair shakes (Returnal). On top of that, you can never tell when he’s joking or not so his opinions contradict each other (death stranding) and then recognizes great titles (it takes two) and calls out bad ones (assassin’s creed). To say he “always makes a great point containing a valid argument” is just factually wrong. Buts he’s never had a dislike on a single video so that’s worth something.
@@CrazyzzzDudezzz true, dunkey is a massive shit poster, which is also why i love him, but there usually is hidden a valid argument in the signposting somewhere. True that it isn't always the case. But might have a slightly weird approach to his videos, for example, dunkey's first death stranding video was what made buy the game, and he has nothing positive to say about it in that video. In fact, he over exaggerated a lot of the negatives BUT he did also validly describe the game, he conveyed information about it that made me wanna buy it. The thing about dunkey's videos is that he often lumps in geniuen criticism with shit and sarcasm/ irony and the sarcasm/ irony is often used to attack and criticize other dumb brains on the internet, the metroid dread video is a good example of all of this. It all becomes slightly very confusing at times which is a big pull factor for me (i love it) because, i am in fact a dumb contrarian on the internet :)
