I thought you guys would like to hear some good news about the birds from the movie coming from a Brazilian: Thanks to conservation efforts, there are now about 40 to 50 semi-wild spix macaws flying freely in their natural habitat, and they're already breeding the first wild generation in 37 years! People over here are moving mountains to save these birds!

To clarify though not all exotic pets are taken from the wild. So if you see someone with a parrot or a lizard they aren't usually really abusing animals.
Most are though, so if your going into the exotic pet community, you want to find a reputable breeder. 👍 much love and luck to anyone going into it, remember that researching your pet should be an everyday experience even after you have them for years. Even if you think you know everything. You will never know enough, that's a fact.
