4:24 clearing all the enemies on this map requires godly RNG from the king so he kills at least ONE of the elementals so the bishop is open to attack, but yeah you need to farm as much exp off this map for garret
Not necessarily. I tried to get max XP for this level AND to keep all the friendly commanders with us. It was actually much harder to save the NPCs (especially Sabra) without reloading, than even defeating all the elementals. If you are curious, here's the video: ruclips.net/video/tyVhb9J_l7I/видео.html Excuse me for no voice commentary, I am not a native English speaker, so I decided to just record a walkthrough.
Seeing you start playing this game is a really nice surprise, this game needs more love honestly, also, if you're looking for a good game pad, a Razer Wildcat is a wonderful controller, given you can get past the price tag.
WOW, this is reminds me "Fire Emblem" and "Ancient Empires 2" from my mobile phone in good old 2000+. This kind of turn based strategies i like the most, and on PC something closer i find only is "Battle of Wesnoth".
Look into the Panzer General / Allied General / Fantasy General series if you are interested in (old) PC strategies. Less RPG and more wargame-like, though.
1:03 yeah dont even try to explain this, this games localization is 1000% fucked the games namer is langrisser decendents of light = warsong? garrets actual name in japan is Ledan the holy sword warsong is the holy sword langrisser.............. castle baltia is actually Baldea (close enough i guess) again this games localization is just fucked all the way.
Interesringly enough, Calais had actually been lucky to NOT defeat a single elemental troop. In your run, she has got more XP, than she needed to class up. Her XP bar as a warlock is 8 points long, she needs 5 levels to get to lv. 10, which is 40 XP points. And you've got 43! (7 lizardmen gave you 7x3 = 21, the serpent knight and Geryon gave 12 and 10, respectively). Technically, she had to level up twice (from lv. 7 to lv. 9) after defeating the serpent knight. But the game engine only allows one level up per one XP gain. You keep the extra XP, though. If you had defeated an elemental (puny 2 XP points), over-experienced Calais would have got to lv. 9, and then to lv. 10 after defeating Geryon. And the game doesn't keep her new class, so she would have rejoined as a lv. 1 warlock. But here, she just kept the extra XP, which explains why she seemed to get a large chunk of XP after defeating the first lizardman in the scenario 7.
this is so nostalgic i went to my storage and got my old console and game to play this it's to much fun
An expert in this game, finally!! good vid, brother

Thank you for playing my favorite game!
pro tip: you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Graysen Santiago definitely, I've been watching on Flixzone for months myself =)
This looks like a very cool game, amazing for the time.
I've done this a couple months ago! Cool stuff
Nice hope to see Shining Force 2 on here. Check out some of the mods for it too.

Well the problem is importing stuff here where I am. I prefer to buy it local because of the import fees ( Guatemala ).
Unfortunate, but understandable.

Now i know from where Fire emblem comes from.
I think this was released like a year after the first fire emblem, so it's probably the reverse.
Wikipedia says there was a Windows port in 1998.
No that' wasn't it. The one I remember was on MS-DOS and didn't look anything like that Windows version. Maybe it was some kind of clone type game.
Looks a lot like Fire Emblem
OK
