This game has a remake as part of the Langrisser I & II set on PS4, Switch, and PC btw. (Warsong was the localized name for Langrisser I) The remake is quite different, though.
Wait a minute, so the Genesis has Intelligent Systems beat on bringing overseas both a Fire Emblem style game in Shining Force *AND* an Advance/Nintendo Wars style game in this?
Good, i loved this video game so much. I even beat all enemies in the first mission of my playthroughs Just epic and unforgettable thanky for bringing this up
This would be the game I would absolutely love to be the 40th or 41st game on the Sega Genesis Mini. A strategy game of this calibre is something all the mini consoles in the market lack. I know. I review all of them! It would help Sega blow the competition out of the water.
I noticed that you got the bug later in the game that prevents your offensive magic from harming enemies. I've found that only happens if you play too many successive scenarios. If you play one scenario at a time, save and turn your machine off after finishing each one, then turn it on again for the next scenario, you can use a combo of thunders and fireballs to finish off Ganelon and Mr. Chaos.
Correction to the video description: Warsong was the only Langrisser game released outside of Japan until Langrisser Re:Incarnation on the 3DS. (Its sister series, Growlanser, has had three entries in its series get an official English translation, one more than Langrisser has.)
There was a cheat code where you could replay any scenario to build up experience on your weaker characters to turn them into stronger ones. I loved that aspect and could’ve wait to see which character got buffed up the most in the next form. Oh and if you lost someone it was permanent so keeping them all safe was critical
Yeah it had something to do with going to top left corner, going one space right and one space down and then pressing some combination of the keys. I loved this game enough I can remember that years later lol.
