Yes ! God bless your people! Truly talented! I took my father to samwa su sen to a festival of Gypsie celebrating Django life ,where Django lived his last days ! My father started playing guitar at 13 ,when he was 16 a man he worked for digging ses pools turned my dad on to Django ! A genius of all ages ! For Christmas of 2003 I surprised my father with airline tickets to Paris to go to that Django festival, what an unbelievable experience! Such talented folks! Bravo to all of you! My father loved Django ! As do I! We actually lived on the road from 1960 to 1964 as dad was part of a trio! I was 6 , what a life ! Not much for formal education, but what a brilliant wonderful life ! I still get tired of one place and move on ! It’s in my blood ! I believe it’s the true way we where meant to be!
Klezmer has significant Romani influence going waaaaaaay back, our exchange probably didn't stop there though, we Ashkenazim (and Sephardim) for sure have Romani in our blood too, I was even told once that I look like it. I am proud to share much heritage and tradition with them.
er lo I don't know, I seem to hear Gypsy influence in most European music. They travelled through nearly all of Europe and their mesmerizing music influenced the music of every culture they came into contact with. I think European cultures adopted more from the Romani than the Romani did from them. I mean, can you imagine living in Eastern Europe in the 15th Century hearing the same folk music all the time, then one day a caravan of unusual-looking people makes camp nearby and you hear them playing Gypsy Romani music for the first time? Music would never be the same to you after that. They are masters of some very fascinating and captivating music.
BGKO has been my favorite orchestra since the first time I listened to them a few years ago. Unfortunately, the clarinetist Robindro Nikolic is not with the group anymore. He's doing other music projects on his own. Good luck to him. The vocal of the group Sandra Sangiao is expecting a baby.
The result of mixing culture, music, instruments and people worldwide. It`s the first time I listen to this song and I really felt like I was walking around different cities. You introduce people in a sensitive travel through its sounds. Bless you.
