The Zoom App doesn’t work with iPhone X and beyond! I bought the iQ6 but need to use the standard iPhone App to record my saxophone practice sessions. Doesn’t work with my iPad Pro either.
My question is will it stay on if you film in landscape format ? Doesn’t seem like anything to stop it falling off if only held by the lightening connection.
Thank you for the comparison. The difference in final sound is apparent, but how do we tell whether it is from the microphone vs. equalization and processing being done in the Zoom App? Maybe it is all software processing that can be applied to the built in mic (with a different app)?

Yes it does. If you are close to the microphone and it records in stereo sounds, it will sound off. As the sound is further away from the camera it should record it more uniformly. One fix is to make sure you do not export this with stereo sound if you experience this issue.

but does it record left and right separate channels? or is it just one channel of stereo?
Would it reduce noise coming from the background? For instance tv backroad.

So if you record video using the Iphone's camera, the default sound comes from the IQ6? Just double checking.

Just tested it, it works with face time and video recording! I'm assuming the way it works is when plugged in, it will act as the primary microphone.

Unfortunately it's only limited to emails and sound cloud. Trust me, I really wish I could use AirDrop as well!
