I'm a Lifer, Mike. . A Van Halen Lifer. EVH and Van Halen have gone with me everywhere in Life. Everywhere. Been with me for all the highs, lows. Everything. I'm a Van Halen FREAK from way back. And this is cool. I had kinda forgotten you did this guitar. So cool. Sweeet shirt too! I've built 3 or 4 Frankies, and they're awesome. And I've really been wanting to build one of these Wolfgangs too. I have 2 Specials, and a Standard. They're killer. But I want to build one too. Cool vid!
MIke - Also an FYI - if you ever get too frustrated with that Floyd system... and you it turns you away from the guitar..... there is a way out! Schaler makes a "Drop-In" Trem for Floyd routs. Same width for posts and everything. Literally drops right in. I did 2 red/black/white Frankies. I did one with the Floyd, and one with that Schaler Strat style replacement. Both turned out awesome. Anyway, FYI if you ever decided you just hated the Floyd. They are a pain. Man I'd like to get my hands on that axe !
Love that body style. I'm not a fan of Floyd rose trems either... Those pups sound great but I think your intonation is off 😮 Hahahahaha! Just kidding buddy! I just had to say it since you put it out there! Lol
I bought the first Ibanez to include a FR ,I forget the model, I hated it, keeping it in tune was a real pain, I ended up selling it to someone who was prepared to fight with a Floyd Rose, they just don't do what is claimed! I like my guitars that I tune up and they just stay in tune, even with a vibrato bridge. I am also a fan of the push push pots, these are especially good with Stratocaster knobs as grabbing them to pull them is so difficult.
The Frankenhalen. The originial to me was a bunch of parts put together to see what would happen and Eddie made history. The FR is a step too far for this hard tail player. 48. Wow!
