@@Razor-gx2dq Popular... I'm Is hoping they release a compact so I can Justify to myself buying another. As far as media I haven't paid attention to any other sites. Now you have me curious, Gonna have to check it out. I already commented earlier that I have a couple of Beretta gen 3 locking blocks on the way to test for compatibility. Stay tuned, Thanks for your comment it's appreciated.
It would be cool to see if everything is compatible. People who upgrade berettas replace lots of parts. I did Ltt np3 kit. That kit with tax and shipping is 500 but replaces everything besides the frame barrel and slide with a trigger job and everything coated in NP3. It made a huge difference. If this is compatible then it’s a great option because i have seen these for under $300 and all in for an LTT would be the price of a stock beretta. Hopefully you continue to compare compatibility.
@@R1B2AB Actually I am continuing to compare compatibility. I just ordered (a few days ago) A couple of Beretta gen 3 locking block kits. They consist of the gen 3 locking block (of course) the new gen 3 Compatible plunger and roll pin. From my initial investigations it seems it should drop right in. I can tell you this much The Girsan regard blocks are not Compatible. They are higher in the rear lug Just behind the recoil spring and prevent the slide from cycling. The factory Derya Melik locking blocks are fine, but..... (There's always a butt right ;-).) The tolerances seem a little loose to me, They will almost fall out when you have the barrel removed and tip it side to side. I've had. Absolutely. No cycling of functioning issues with them. But if I can get some OE Beretta ones that have a tighter fit I will just put these back as emergency spares. These two pistols are not going to be hot rodded by any means I'm keeping them and or bringing them up to (or as close to "mil spec / standard as possible. I am looking at it from a service duty prospect. This is relatively an inexpensive upgrade.
BTW the locking block kits are $29.00 each. Shipping cost It's kind of irrelevant because it was absorbed in a larger order that I had placed. You can get a lot of Beretta parts at Midwest gunworks. I called Beretta USA and had a lengthly conversation with them and I was informed by them they have sold all of their older stock to them.
Appreciate the vid. Got mine in and it shoots better than my glock 19. My thing is i wolant to swap out for a threaded barrel, a volker flat faced trigger, magwell etc. Habe seen the silencer co barrels but they come without the locking block would it be safe tobsay that swapping the locking block from the melik barrel to the silencer co would be doable. They look pretty close to me but as you said i also dont have a Beretta to compaire side by side.
@@ericabrego227 Thank you. Well the Melik is supposed to be a clone of the Beretta 92FS, how exact? So far to me they look to be identical from the best of my recollection. so in theory I don't see why not. I actually have a couple of generation 3 Beretta original equipment locking blocks coming in soon. I will let everyone know what my results are once I try to install them on my Melik's. Just my opinion if I was to get another barrel I would get a locking block specifically for that barrel, I don't think I'd feel comfortable with the tolerances in between swapping blocks back and forth. Might be harmless but I just wouldn't want to do it. You can pick them up for about _30.00. I got mine from Midwest gun works. Thank you for posting and commenting it's appreciated.
Thanks for another informational video! Maybe Derya is using one big hole on the safety lever because of patent/copyright? Didn't want to do a 100% copy. Just speculating.

@@trustysteed8982 True... But I did have an issue with the ambi safety arm coming loose because of the way Derya installed it with that big single hole and large roll pin. That's why I went ahead and replaced the safety selector with a Beretta unit. The way Beretta attaches the right ambi arm with the 2 roll pins, it will never come loose. The design will not allow any lateral movement. This opened the door for the other improvements. Okay I'm going to be that guy. Why would you buy a $400 pistol closer to 500 with tax and transfer fee. And then put $200 worth of parts in it. When you can just buy a Beretta for $600 new or close to it. It's never going to be a Beretta
@@jasonhensley3071 That's a valid question, and I'll give you a valid answer. If in fact if I paid what you're saying you would have a semi valid point but I did not. Still under $400.00 ( $388.00 to be exact). And to be honest with you, I didn't even have to put the extra $70 into it, was just personal preference because I wanted to ensure mil spec. I'm pretty sure I stated that in the video. The second one that I purchased came under five dollars less than that. And yes I'll say it right now other than the roll marks on the slide they're really isn't enough of a difference to make a difference, yes this pistol is that nice.
