What (non affiliated) gear am I using?
Updated Jan 2025 - SSL2+ Audio Interface, Studio One Artist for recording, Guitar Rig 6 for most of my bass effects (though I do have a few pedals), and Sony Vegas Pro 21 for video editing
Bass Guitars: My main two you'll see in these videos are the Epiphone Nikki Sixx Blackbird, and a Squier Matt Freeman Signature P Bass, both with Ernie Ball Super Slinky Strings (45-100 gauge)
Bless your heart and soul, I’m new to bass and was able to pick this up in a few hours from this vid! Love this song in general
the first actually good tab I've found of Covet. great stuff!
Thanks man, I'm gonna be performing this song soon and this video has been a great help
Hope it goes well if u already preformed hope it went well
Great job dude! You make it easy for us noobs.
its drop c sharp
Great cover mate, that sounds perfect. Are you using roundwound strings?
Are you sure thats EADG xd?
I'm sure that was a mistake! Try C# G# C# F# and you'll have a much easier time
thanku omg i thought i was going insane haha
@@scottysunday but how do I tune my guitar to that?
@RealDirtCow If you're going from standard bass tuning (E A D G), start with drop d tuning (D A D G) then tune everything down another half step with your bass tuner. Look up drop C# or D flat tuning if you need an example.
Amazing cover man! Was wondering what effect pedals you used and what you did to get that tone, still a beginner here 😁
Kinda late reply. I completely forget what I used exactly (it's almost a year since this video was released) but it's going through a SSL2+ Audio Interface into Guitar Rig 6 (virtual amp/effects).... definitely look into blending some distortion into your sound to start. Anyway, good luck!
thanks! new sub. any chance you could do some stone roses or the smiths? (if you like the music ofc) :)
Both cool bands. I'd love to cover either group one day
