Penalty after the race: No.11 Marco Wittman -> WARNING / Unsportsmanship behavior, arguments with Pepper. No.63 Jordan Pepper -> WARNING / Unsportsmanship behavior, giving the middle finger to Rast. No.33 Rene Rast -> NO PENALTY / 0% fault.
If you know anything about racing, you know that pepper was moving under braking. I would even go as far as, he deliberately took out Wittman to cause as much damage as possible to Rasts teammate. He shouldn’t be in DTM any longer
@@onedriftyboyI dont know if you're a bmw meat rider but tht was the dumbest thing I've heard all day everyone knows u cant brake with wheels in the air. Stop making us bmw boys look bad
@@onedriftyboy tbf, this one is very hard to call the one who is at fault with the limited view of the incident we had from onboards. You are definitely being too harsh and emotional about it because saying Pepper did it on purpose is simply DTS fan biased opinion and false. Pepper did contribute to the incident with leaving the door open to Rast, but that was a simracer type of divebomb by Rast. Too aggressive, no overlap before the contact, should have gotten a penalty. You can't overtake people by just not braking and putting your nose into a gap that is going to close on you.
@@onedriftyboy as I said his wheels were in the air u cant brake in the sky. I love bmw as much as u and yes tht wasnt a dirty move by rast, just a rookie mistake
Thomas Preining never did something close to what René Rast has done since Nürburgring and received a 5 place Grid Penalty for Race 1 at Sachsenring, while René Rast didn't received a penalty for the crash with Jordan Pepper and Marco Wittmann 🤡
someone explain the penalty for Thierry for me please, what does "Lost control of one of the wheel" means? are they talking about the wheel still swirling around after being put on the ground?
The wheels are supposed to be laying on the ground until the car stops for safety reasons. One mechanic is already holding the wheel in his hands while the car is arriving which is forbidden.
What an emotional race, Sheldon rollercoaster from start to finish being last and then because of safety car he put himself right in top 10, Rast risky move ends with huge damage to Wittmann & rookie pepper so unlucky to finish a debut weekend like that, Vermeulen from first pole almost to win a silly rule at least gave him still his first podium in Dtm finally, KVDL back on podium while Maro & Mirco only scoring further points, Luca Stolz deja vu at Sachsenring back to back win in years 🤩⚡🍾🏆🏁🎉
Manthey EMA's Pit Crew and Luca Engstler, the MVPs on Thomas Preining 4th place 🐐🐐 Happy to see Thomas were it belongs scoring big points, altough dissapointed to see him came close to the podium in both races at Sachsenring 🇩🇪🥲 Hopefully Thomas can take victory again at home in the 7th round of 2024 at Red Bull Ring 🇦🇹🤞

I've never seen a driver catapulted out of a GT3 car before! What a shunt.

"There is a rulebook for the drivers and a different rulebook for Rast"
Heavy words for someone that just made his debut
That just tells that Jordan Pepper watchs DTM 😅
Wouldn’t be a DTM race without Wittmann’s BMW sustaining some kind of damage.
Wittmanns luck is insane...
