This is why my Genshin signature is “Qiqi gets too much hate” like listen to her voice lines. They are so sweet. She literally talks about how she is doing her best not to forget you, how she wants to stay with you and how she wants to protect you.

I mean it's actually probably for the best given it was the love of her family that let her use her vision if she still held all those strong emotions in a world where she knew she was essentially unable to see them she'd probably be even worse off.
There's a possibility that qiqi is the ancestor of keqing, because the name of qiqi basic attack before it was changed to what it is now is "yunlai old technique" where the yunlai sword style is the keqing sword style

Qiqi is actually a very specific type of vampire called a jiangshi(meaning “stiff corpse”)or a “hopping vampire/zombie” (depending on what you read). She’s a jiangshi because she’s
A.) liyue is Chinese, so one might guess from the name
B.) she has a seal on her forehead, which in many depictions of jiangshis, os usually the spell that has reanimated them.
C.) They are often times spirits stuck in a body after a wrongful death
D.) her body can very easily become stiff due to her constant possibility of rigor mortis from being dead, and since jiangshi are a type of reanimated corpse, they often must stretch, like qiqi, to not become stiff and hop
(this at least holds true for benevolent jiangshi in modern media that I’ve observed)
While qiqi doesn’t share all the qualities and likeness of jiangshi in myths, she still shares enough similarities that she was at least incredibly heavily influenced by jiangshi in myths
Jiangshi are always vampire. The confusion comes from the fact that the word used for actual Zombies, is also read as Jiangshi, however it's an entirely different word and it's pronounced slightly different in pitch.
Inexperienced translators constantly confuse the mistake of translating actual Jiangshi(the Chinese vampire-like monster), with Jiangshi, a common zombie.

I know it's not the proper Jiangshi's myth but in Age of Conan it was so cool.
Basically they were corrupted villagers who turned into deformed lifeforce (Chi) vampires due to the mind corruption of the interdimentional alien entity sent to capture Yag Kosha, the god Conan merciful killed in the stories.
Original myth Jiangshi are kinda of reanimated corpses used to guard something and loyal to a master, like rotten flesh golems.

idk if ur chinese or not but the translation of 'stiff corpse' i dont think is right. jiangshi directly translated might be 'stiff corpse' but its not actually ment to be interpreted as that. im pretty sure the definition of a vampire doesnt match up with 'jiangshi' because of the ways in u become one. then again im not 100% sure
At first I thought Kazuha's friend but then realized that was Kazuha using his vision, then I remembered Bennett got his vision at the brink of death but I don't think he actually died. Then the video mentioned Liyue and I realized it was about Qiqi
Some people speculated that his friend actually used it from the grave as if kazuha did reawaken the vision, he logically would still have the second vision.
Plus the theory that visions are Celestia's way to watch over the people doesn't make much sense then, since kazuha already has one monitoring him
And then there's Yae's quote about ambitious triumphing death at the end of the inazuma quest, though that may be more focused towards the fight against the vision hunt

Ei wants to be eternal, Fischl is a chunibyo, Keqing wants Liyue to stand on its own without adepti. In Kazuha’s friend, he believes the raiden’s most powerful attack can be stopped, which is thought to be impossible. Kazuha fulfilling his friend’s wish activated the vision.
In Benny's case, he was on the brink of death but him getting his vision allowed him to use pyro to cauterize his wounds as a makeshift healing method (hence why he stops healing the active character once you hit 70% HP)
I love the fact that kettlekoro didn't left out Qiqi's final wish/thought was to "freeze time"
I have a theory on why she forgets...
Instead of the time freezing.
The time repeats itself and which affects her growth and memories.
But I may be wrong since she still remembers some people.

I really hope Qiqi gets some closure at some point in the game. As in she remembers her family and past life and stops having to deal with memory loss and rigor mortis. So far her situation has only been played for jokes but I really want some serious story quests about it.

Qiqi's backstory is actually one of the saddest stories in genshin.
And yet people still sacrifice her as if she hadn't suffered enough already.
People don't appreciate life without knowing the pain of death. Some people cannot appreciate something not until they lose it. Which is why you should always cherish all of the things that happen. Time is not a curse that slowly erodes all things, but it is a gift and an opportunity. The past is a lesson, the present is a gift, and the future is hope.

Probably Celestia gave the vision to qiqi to see if she has the resolve to get out of there alive, since Celestia is so preoccupied handling a demon incursion that accidentally unleashed.
Cryo - Pain and Suffering. - Feeling of being Abandoned by someone you love, Hopeless. As the leading expert on Cryo characters, I would say that Cryo visions seem mostly tied to issues relating to one's "Identity."
Reminds me of some random stone plates around liyue mountains & the ruin guard grave that tells stories of a beast hunter, who gets a vision long after he mastered his martial arts and bored of hunting monsters
The last plate said he threw the vision away in disappointment

As a Qiqi main, It always moves me when I go through Qiqi's story man. Her strong will to live with her family through the diring period of the Archon War, wished I could have a heart like that. It takes so much willpower to create a vision from a Tear Drop man.

I forgot what his name is but basically he would always play hide and seek with his parents and one day he was hiding and heard footsteps coming. Thinking it was just his parents he kept hiding but his parents had actually got taken away and killed. He waited for days but they never came and found him. You can find him in the mountains. This is not completely word for word correct but this is basically what happened. Idk it's just sad that he was never able to grow into an adult and is stuck in a child's mindset.
Oh yeah I remember that guy. It really is sad, though I wonder why no one had him live with them or anything

I still remember when I was a low AR player and I just found out about the story feature.
So I wanted to learn anything I could about all of my characters.
I remember sitting there, rolled into a little uncomfy ball and crying as I read her story.
"If only I could freeze time...How wonderful that would be..."
The sentence that completely broke me but at the same time it was the moment I found so much love and respect for this little undead girl.
I may not be happy to lose my 50/50 to her, but I could never ever hate her.
I remember catching her a finch and placing it next to her in the Teapot because I read that she likes finches.
I remember visiting the Bubu pharmacy everyday - even when she wasn't there - because she said she was afraid of forgetting the Traveller.

@@faeun99 When you get the character, go to the menu (where you level up your characters) and go to profile. Story and voicelines. Story is text, telling the character's story, while voicelines are the characters talking and giving their opinions about certain things. You can get more by leveling up their friendship, by either keeping them in the serenitea pot, doing the random events with them, or claiming stuff like ley lines, domains, bosses with those characters in your party. Max level is 10, and you get a card that is that character themed.

I've always loved Qiqi. She was the reason why I installed Genshin & have always loved her back story. Losing 50/50 to her means good luck to me as the next character requires less than 20pulls (eg. Ganyu after 3 single pulls, Klee after 13-15 pulls, & ShenHe after 18).

I wasnt familiar with Qiqi’s story so at first that’s what I thought but then I reconsidered because the dead friend didn’t use the vision. I guess technically Qiqi isn’t dead by the time she was able to use the vision created at her death but she’s deader than Kazuha so I have to agree here.

Considering now that we know Archons subconsciously give out visions, this means that Qiqi’s love for her family was so overwhelming it caused the Cryo Archon to give a vision to her

@@gatonephist7255 forgetting the people you share the memories is the saddest part, it's the exact opposite of Zhongli. I think it was some kind of curse for both of them for being immortal or living for so long.
She doesn't like Baizhu and says that she doesn't mind forgetting her face. Baizhu saying sometimes around 'I love you the most' is said to cancel her orders to herself. Baizhu uses her for free labour and it is also theorised that he keeps her to find out how her immortality works
I hope jialiang and qiqi may find each other, and that baizhu really does become immortal
