Manie has this knack of being able to execute with the ball the second it touches his hands. So wonderful watching him today.
@@kevinewert8546 I also paid more attention to what he was doing; he puts constant pressure on the opposing team and created chances for the speedsters, while 'forcing' those speedsters to constantly race forward, which adds more pressure
@@KarateGucci Ox was phenomenal, I can’t argue with that! A few people have said he is shaping up as a contender for best player of the year, and I agree. I just think that Manie did something special tonight. To come back, after the week he has had, and to play with such freedom, is courageous.

Manie has always been a great player, but everyone criticized his goal kicking. Rassie identified his talent and took the goal kicking away from him. Kudos to Rassie for that strategy. And today we saw Manie talent

He kind of proved his worth pre WC during injury coverage.
He is often overlooked as he, isn't as fast as Williams, is not as tenacious in defence as Faf, lacks that solo attacking edge of Reinach (which Reinach is lacking a little himself lately). But he performs more as a scrapy all rounder, very much unfazed under pressure, consistently moving the team along. Was kind of the perfect starting partner for Libbock. Hopefully they can build on this.

My man of the match was Ben O'Keefe. I always trust him with BMT since he had that very difficult game to ref directly following the Rassie video and intense coach scrutiny and and he passed with flying colours and the BIL players to scared to repeat the shenanigans of the first test.

To me the Libbok goal kicking experiment worked. More practice and focus Jayden will be a great goal kicker.
Jaden used to play 10 at junior level and was actually really good, he was moved to 9 due to his size but I agree that he'll get MUCH better with more practice.
Jaden not always going to be there which is a shame. Wish Manie could just sort his kicking out. Also means we have to play 5-3 split unless Sascha plays. Bur again, he won't always be there.
@@rodwellchigome7567 I think they're looking at having Kolbe and Jaden as the goal kickers when Manie is on the field, I also feel that Manie is still currently our 3rd choice flyhalf as SFM has shown amazing potential and Pollard is our safety option on the bench. Either way though we have the depth we lacked at the last RWC and things are looking good for SA overall. Really looking forward to the Nov tests.
@@brettfleiner4906 Completely agree with you, but saying that Jaden is 3rd choice or 2nd choice scrumhalf at best too. Definitely have Williams above Jaden. But you proving my point. I'm a Stormer and love Manie, hut if all thise pieces don't fall in place, he cant play unless we want to haul him off after 30 minutes when we playing in the rain if you know what I mean. We can't be compromising 2 or 3 postions for one player, b ut yeah, our depth is amazing. Great shout.

The ref was really good. Manie was good without the goalkicking pressure. Let's give credit to Pollard also, he kicked and played with an aura of calmness and experience.
Pollard counter-ruck, break, delicate kick try-assist to JK. In one series, shows how he is not a one-trick pony. And 21 points in 15 minutes is not shabby! Love the 1-2 style punch differential

Bit the bullet: took the tee away and that gave Manie freedom to go full Libbok! So, if we go 7-1, that can’t work necessarily (depends on the 9) but as we said pre-Test, this was Rassie at his man-management best. Stick w a guy he believes in and that guy will stick with him back. Brilliant.

In your previous point about what a random name , “the rugby championship” is. I think it would be better for the North (essentially the 6 nations) have a competition called the “northern cup” and we have something called the “southern cup” and maybe every two years between the World Cup the champions from each hemisphere can play in a World Cup mouth watered called the bi-sphere cup.
