You have gone astray no doubt about it. Allah (SWT) revealed many things to the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) besides the Qur'an. For example, details about how to pray Salah plus you have Sharia law details which are not in the Qur'an. These also all came from Allah !

Here we clearly see that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not want the verse to be written down because it was never meant to be part of the text of the Quran. The scholars of Islam are unanimous that the recitation of this verse has been abrogated but its ruling still remains in effect.
However, the only reason why Umar got emotional and wanted to put the verse in the Quran was because he was afraid that one day people would think that its ruling had been cancelled. However, the companions did not allow him to because they all knew that its recitation had been abrogated. In order to put a verse in the Quran there needed to be two witnesses and Umar was all by himself. Umar himself knew that its recitation was abrogated but he was getting emotional, for he feared that people in the future would not believe in the ruling of stoning the adulterers.

Someone who projects 'truth' in his eyes doesn't mean he is projecting the actual truth. Think of it, if you are being fed negative and false texts, you should also be fed with positive and correct texts as then you would be able to make a non biased conclusion.

@@isma2083 I have read the hafs quran and some of the hadiths and found the following very disturbing about Mohammed and his allah:
- Islam teaches that child marriage is OK which implies child rape (Surah 65:4) which is evil. And Mohammed of course led by example when he raped a 9 year old little girl.
- Islam teaches that it is OK for a husband to beat his wife (Surah 4:34) which is evil.
- Islam teaches that it is OK to use women captured in war to be used and sold as sex slaves (Surah 33:50) which evil.
- Islam teaches that Christians and Jews must be fought until they have been killed (murdered) unless they submit to Islam and agree to be oppressed second class citizens in the own country (Surah 9:29) which is evil.
- And the witness of a women is worth only half of that of a man. (Surah 2:282). That is an insult to all women.
So that is my problem with the many different Arabic qurans we can all buy. And we should always remember all of Islam is only what Mohammed maybe recited and how he lived. So why do you believe that following Mohammed will get you or anyone else to heaven. And do show the quranic verses on which you base your belief.

We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?
My response would be that we trust the Quran over Hadeeth sources even if hadeeth is saheeh (authentic). The Quran is the highest form of preservation. The prophet specifically asked not to write his hadeeth until the Quran was complete so that they wouldn't be mixed.

Ugh! OMG! This is painful! Okay, I won't reply to anyone anymore. Yes, I do realize that. I NEVER said to neglect hadith! I only said that the Quran is the highest form of legislation. Even if the hadith was authentic a thousand time, if it contradicts the Quran, it will never overrule the Quran which is highest in hierarchy of legislation. The Quran said about itself that it's complete, so no hadith can overrule that. We don't consider the hadith infallible even if it was saheeh. It was still collected and an effort was made in the collection but, unlike the Quran, it's not 100% infallible. And the prayer is mutawatir hadeeth (look it up, but I'm sure you know mr Arabian Spring bud) AND it was movements that were viewed and learned and taught to others and so on. But I'm sure you already know all of that and just wanna embarrass someone and show them they're wrong and you're right. Anyway, please don't reply, I'm done here. Those debates are pointless. Everybody just debates for their own vanity and to prove the other wrong. Whether you're Muslim, Christian, or atheist, nothing will change your mind. There is also the chapter 101 of "concerning heresy" (John of Damascus), written in the beginning of the 8th century, which talk about some surahs that are unknown today.

The Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) in two stages, the first, it brought down by Angle Jibraeel from the preserved tablet (from the seventh heaven) to first heaven( sky).
Allah ( The All knowledgeable & knowing) revealed the Qur’an verses to the prophet in this stage of revelation lasted for about 23 years in which the Quran verses was sent down in response to the development of events and in accordance with the sequence needed to complete the delivery of the Message.
I’ll leave you with this Qoute :-

The English term abrogation implies that a previous rule or teaching in a verse was completely cancelled by a new verse. The verse of stoning is mentioned in the beginning of Surah Noor, Where ALLAH speaks about the "punishment" which would be laid about in regards to unlawful behavior.

One you're asking where the Quran says it is complete and 2 "how does this hadeeth become authentic"?
Why does the Quran need to say it is complete? And if you are really hung up on this the final verse is found in Surah Bakara (number 2). It goes something like this "...on this day I have perfected my religion for you...".
What Hadeeth is "this hadith" you are talking about? please quote and reference the Hadeeth.
You don't seem to understand what authenticity of a hadeeth means.
It simply means that whoever collected the Hadeeth (eg Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi etc) are able to say that the chain of narration is reliable (due to knowing the chain of narrators) back to its original source. It does not imply that the words of the narration are in fact 100% accurate because although the narrators were trustworthy and regarded in high esteem they may still have made errors. The Quran is the only authoritative document in Islam and overrides the Hadeeth.
The Prophet himself said in a hadeeth that after his death people will say that he said and did things that never happened.

Ibn Masud had one hundred eleven chapters in his Quran.
Ubai bin Ka'b had one hundred sixteen chapters in his Quran.
Zayd bin Thabit who compiled today’s Quran only had one hundred fourteen chapters.
Ibn Masood, Ubain bin Ka'b and Zayd bin Thabit have their Qur'an. Which one is the genuine one is the question of the enthusiasts.

I am an Arabic native speaker with an excellent Standard Arabic language skills.
Omar’s quote said that because the stoning is not mentioned in Quran, I’m afraid that after extended period of time, people might say we will not stone anymore because it is not in Quran. So, Omar here is confirming that stoning is not mentioned in Quran, and was worried it will not continue to be carry out after long time.
It makes perfect sense. We know the stoning from Hadith not Quran and Omar is confirming this in the example you illustrated. I read the Arabic version and it didn’t take me a second to understand it.
I am very open to know anything that has any level of doubts, but here the example you choose was not a good one for the purpose of your topic. Most of the educated native Arabic speaker with knowledge in standard Arabic language can understand the text.
If my explanation was not clear enough, I can try to explain it once more.

Are you a Muslim? Or an ex Muslim? If you are an ex Muslim, do you as an Arabic native speaker know the truth about the Quran? Is it really the truth? Is there any errors at all in the Quran that contradicts current day scientific facts? Do you believe that the Quran is made up stories of stolen religious ideas and the idea of allah is actually Mohammed himself, fooling his followers in to believing him. I really want answers as I am curious about Islam and I want to know the truth especially from an Arab person. My theory is that the Quran is has stories that are so similar to old religious belief before Islam even came about, especially about the 7 heaven and the earth and the pillars that hold up the sky are similar to the Greeks mythology. There are verses in the Quran that says that the moon is the light, a famous scholar of Islam lied saying that the verse meant reflected light, but I believe the true translation that I got from another Arab source is that it actually just means light. Sorry, I just want to seek out the truth. I just want your perspective on it.

Textual Perfection of Quran - THE SEVEN DIFFERENT DIALECTS
Many authentic and reliable Prophetic reports tell us that the Qur’an was actually revealed in Seven Different Modes (SAB'AT-UL-¬AHRUF). This has been narrated by more than ten of the Prophet's companions(disciples), amongst them being Abu Bakr ), Umar, Uthman, Abdullah ibn Mas'ood nd Abdullah ibn Abbas (God be pleased with them).
These seven dialects or modes form the basis of several distinct ways of reciting the Qur’an. They also reflect the different usage at the time of Revelation, comprising variations in pronunciations and even minor differences in wording.
When Caliph Uthman (RA) was standardizing on one version of the Qur’an, he was not standardizing one out of several different Qurans.
There has always been ONE Qur’an.
He was standardizing the Qur’an in the dialect of the Quraysh(the tribe of the Prophet) as evident from many prophetic reports. In fact, the final agreement of Abdullah ibn Mas'ood (RA) with Caliph Uthman (RA) was based on this very point.
It must therefore be noted that the written Qur’an in our possession today is in one of the Seven Dialects i.e. the Quraysh Dialect whereas the others were transmitted to us orally.
The revelation of the Qur’an was naturally only completed towards the end of our beloved Prophet’s life time. The Qur’an was collected into one book under the authority of Hadhrat Abu-Bakr, the first Caliph and close companion of our beloved Prophet. This book was passed on to Hadhrat Umar, the second Caliph and after his demise to Hafsah, his daughter and also a wife of the Holy Prophet(SAW). (Bukhari 61:3)
It is also clear that there were a number of Arabic dialects current among the Arabs at the time of the Quranic revelation, and the prophet had no objection to each tribe reciting the Qur’an according to their particular dialect. (Bukhari 61:2 and 61:5)
It should be noted that this does not imply variation in text. It tells us that different tribes pronounced words in different ways and this relates generally to vowel points.
In some cases a consonant may have been read with an 'a' or an 'i', either as a general alternative or as a dialectic tribal preference, but the meaning remained the same. In some cases certain letters may have been pronounced differently by different tribes but the meaning remained the same.
Some differences in the vowel points makes no difference to the meaning of a word, while others can add further to our understanding of a word, and as such are sometimes considered by commentators of the Qur’an, when seeking to gain a fuller meaning of a verse.
However if the vowel points are changed by someone who does not understand Arabic they may inadvertently change the meaning. This last kind of error was totally unacceptable and it was to guard against this that Hadhrat Uthman made standardized copies.
It was at the time that non-Arabs were becoming Muslims that Caliph Uthman was made aware of the need to fix the pronunciation of the Qur’an in accordance with the Quraysh dialect in which it was originally revealed.
The reason for Caliph Uthman's action was that reports had reached him that there was a danger of non-Arab Muslims abroad differing in their recitation of the Qur´an. (Bukhari 61:3).
Because non-Arabs may not have fully understood the language they could in some cases make mistakes in recitation that changed the meaning of the Qur’an.
Anas-ibn-Malik relates that Huzaifah (RA) had been on expeditions to various countries and was shocked at the manner in which some people were reciting the Qur’an.
On his return to Madinah Munawwarah he said to Caliph Uthman,
"O Uthman! Assist this people before they differ in the Book of Allah as the Jews and the Christians differ in their Books." (Bukhari 61:3).
This prompted the Caliph to take timely action to ensure the preservation of the original text of the Qur’an.
He selected four people to make the copies of the Qur’an. Of these four, three were of the Quraysh tribe and one was not. Hadhrat Uthman issued the order that where the one differed with the three, they were to follow the Quraysh dialect, the dialect in which the Qur’an was first revealed.
From this report it becomes evident that the vowel points were fixed at this time to accord with the Quraysh dialect. It should be noted here that Abu-Bakr, Umar and Hafsah, through whose hands the Qur’an copy used by Caliph Uthman had passed, were all of the Quraysh tribe.
Here I wish to note one point. Caliph Uthman did not destroy all earlier copies of the Qur’an, because it is reported that he returned Hafsah's copy to her when the standardized copies were completed (Bukhari 61:3).
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that the Hafsah's copy of the Qur’an was required to be destroyed, although the rulers to whom the standardized copies were sent were instructed on the authority of Caliph Uthman to destroy all other copies of the Qur’an.
The first compiling and writing of the Qur’an in book form was undertaken by the first Caliph Abu Bakr (RA) which was regarded as the official copy. This copy was then handed over to the second Caliph Umar (RA) and later to his daughter Hafsa (RA), who was also the wife of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). It was much later, during the Caliphate of Uthman (RA), when all sorts of dialectical differences crept into the recitation of the Quranic text, he formed a committee of the following FOUR renowned scribes:
- Zaid bin Thabit (RA)
- Abdullah bin Zubair (RA)
- Saeed bin al-'Aas (RA)
- Abdur Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham (RA)
(Narrated by Bukhari Vol 6 : 510)
The Caliph Uthman (RA) borrowed from Ummul Mu’mineen Hafsah (RA) the copy made by Caliph Abu Bakr (RA), recompiled the text in the light of the Quraysh Dialect, had many copies prepared from it and sent them to various rulers of the Muslim World.
Caliph Uthman (RA) also kept one copy for himself. This version of the text, also known as the Mushaf-e-Uthmani, in fact constitutes the IJMAA' (consensus) of the Sahabas who unanimously agreed and attested that it contained what Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought as Revelation from Allah. All rulers were ordered by Caliph Uthman (RA) to burn all other personalized copies in their areas. These facts are reported in the Kitab-ul-Masaahif as well.
John Burton's book THE COLLECTION OF THE QUR’AN is the latest attempt by a western orientalist to rewrite the history of the Quranic text. At the end of his book (pages 239 - 240), he maintains that the text of the Qur’an we now have in our hands is the text which has come down to us in the form in which it was organized and approved by the Prophet...
What we have today in our hands is the mushaf of Muhammad. Choicest peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his family and all his companions.

There are more hadiths and historical accounts which imply Quran is incomplete.
1. Aisha, the wife of muhammad, said that Ahzab sura was 200 verse long
2. Omar said Ahzab was almost as big as Baqara sura!
3. There are many accounts which talk about several suras which do not exist in current Quran for example, Omar again claims there was a Jihad verse in the quran on one acocunt: "ألم تجد فيما أُنزل علينا: أن جاهدوا كما جاهدتم أوّل مرّة، فأنا لا أجدها؟ قال: أُسقطت فيما أسقط من القرآن" so here he says this verse was cancelled from the quran, I think referring to the verse in the Quran that says: god took back some parts of the Quran, Baqarah 106 "any verse we cancel or cause you to foget, we bring a better one than it"
4. Aisha in Sahih Muslim, also claimed stoning verse and adult-breast-feeding verse were part of the Quran
5. It is also an accepted fact the Othman, the third caliph, collected all different versions of the Quran and burned them, leaving his version only! The current Quran is called مصحف عثمان "Othman's Quran"!! Why would he burn other versions of Quran if they were not different from his version???
6. There exist several readings of the Quran قراءات, they sometimes differ in a whole word! Muslims claim these differences were made by God to make it easy for different tribes to understand the quran! which means God revealed several versions of every verse of those, which doesn't make sense, if so, why not reveal the quran in different languages! for Example: Al Emran verse 146: reads QAATAL قاتل in one reading And QOTELA قُتِلَ in another reading, one word mean "he fought", while the other means "he got killed", both are considered correct Quran readings, etc etc

In the widely recognized and "classic" form of naskh, one ḥukm "ruling" is abrogated to introduce an exception to the general rule, but the text the ḥukm is based on is not repealed.Some examples of Islamic rulings based on naskh include a gradual ban on consumption of alcohol (originally alcohol was not banned, but Muslims were told that the bad outweighed the good in drinking) and a change in the direction of the qibla, the direction that should be faced when praying salat (originally Muslims faced Jerusalem, but this was changed to face the Kaaba in Mecca)

Umar ibn al-Khattaab is the first link in the chain of narration (isnad) for the al-Doori qira'at of the Qur'an. Yet the al-Doori version of the Qur'an does not contain the stoning verse. If it does not contain the stoning verse how can this reading come from Umar? This must be a false chain.

I was born as a Muslim... Since I was a kid I had many many many questions... I never got answers.... I got one answer which fits all questions on the Muslims thinking. This answer was "it's written in the Quran. We don't ask meanings, we accept and obey!" Tell that a 10 years old girl with Asperger's syndrome. I wasn't able to accept because the question was still there. I wanted the reasons why we do all these things, why it's written in the Quran ... This individual who created the Quran had reasons for all these rules. Nobody was able to explain ....

There is verses about stoning in the begining of surah al nour(24)
6. And for those who accuse their wives, but have no witnesses except themselves, let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies (i.e. testifies four times) by Allah that he is one of those who speak the truth.
7. And the fifth (testimony) (should be) the invoking of the Curse of Allah on him if he be of those who tell a lie (against her).
8. But it shall avert the punishment (of stoning to death) from her, if she bears witness four times by Allah, that he (her husband) is telling a lie.
9. And the fifth (testimony) should be that the Wrath of Allah be upon her if he (her husband) speaks the truth.
About the hadith in sunan ibn majah, there is no such thing, the chapter 9 is called chapter on mariage and there is no hadith 2553 it goes from 1918 to 2093.

In Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation of the Quran, there is no mention of stoning at all in Surah 24, verses 6-9. There is mention of punishment but not of stoning. You have mentioned the words 'of stoning to death' in brackets, which seem to be your addition. Why has Yusuf Ali omitted those words if they were in the original Quran?

You find what you looking for from hadis which is sayings of the prophets as per jesus and moses, which are off course made up by jews, christian and muslims. Religion does not exist in quran. you have to read arabic grammar their are more than 20 different pronunciation of arabic and in different counteries different pronunciations! And if any country print the Quran in their pronunciation so it is never called original Quran that is just simple meaning of Quran not a real Quran! real Quran is only in one arabic pronunciation that is called Quranic pronunciation which most high pronunciation(Quran has its own arabic pronunciation)
and you can find different arabic words which are not countable but they have same mean so in Quranic arabic Allah use only one word for that all words Please I recommend you to watch videos of Dr Zakir Naik on mistakes of Quran mistakes of Quran please in his lecture you will definitely come to know that He is liar and he is misunderstood about Quran and arabic grammar

Diablo, may the love of God be in you. Sorry Sir, that is a Red Herring Fallacy. You quote an ayah that tells us that everything is aproved. Now... how does that answer to Ismaa'eel's objection?
In fact your ayah gives more power to the objection, because that shows how Muhammad was sure that his companions were going to memorize all his ayat (including the verses of the Rajam) in the "complete" version of the Qur'an. But he was wrong and they failed to add it in the collection.
