    Hey Mike, you have the bars in the right location and tacked, I would get the Panhard kit and C notch kit you want and install them first to eliminate any variables.

      I tend to agree and am leaning that way.

    Got a 57 shortbed I'm starting on. Love the build so far. I'd do a small c notch on the frame .

    Clay sent you the wrong bars mine are 17 and my measurements are dead nuts to yours. In all seriousness you made me panic. I had to go measure mine. 😅

      Hahaha… My apologies!
      Im wondering if he’s just so busy that maybe he’s a little scatterbrained and got his circuits crossed. I was sure that when I called him, he would say “oops, yeah those are wrong”. But when he doubled down and said they’re supposed to be 15.5”… like you I panicked.

      @@79_Trucker Absolutely, he cut and sent the new link bars to me in two days and didn’t take a penny.

      C notch. I used a kit from brothers. Comes with boxing plates like you did for the front suspension. Plenty strong.

      Bottom of frame just rearward of the front spring hanger 12” With the notch installed I have 4” of travel. Up to you though, build it the way you want it.

    I'm just starting my 58 Apache build. Just looking at your clearance on the rear end. Did you go with the 4" or 6" drop on the front? Like you I want very slight rake. Will be doing a C notch kit cuz I will be using the truck bed for my dirtbike.

      @intheshoptv  9 месяцев назад

      I “think” most mustang 2 IFS drop a stock truck 4”. From there, an additional 2” drop is obtainable via drop spindles (which I have). Then of course, coilovers or air ride can add even more adjustment.

      @N8z14 9 месяцев назад

      Yes, that is what I have read as well. That's great to know, l was planning to go with the stock (4 inch) drop. I'm in for a big learning curve when I build mine. Love all the videos. I've learned tons before even getting mine stared.

    I'm thinking the size of tires and how much height frame to top of rear end matters. If the rear end is close to the frame it will be different than otherwise.

    • @intheshoptv
      @intheshoptv  Год назад

      Yeah, if I stick with the current ride height, I’ll definitely have to notch the frame
