- Simon Dabadie, Founder and CEO of @dabmotors visited The Bike shed to personally deliver one of their latest bespoke LM-S builds to a customer so we decided to whip the camera out and have a chat with Simon about what makes micro manufacturer Dab Motors so different from the rest of the bikes out there that you can buy.

It's understandable , but maybe in the near future , this french ingineer will Can product one model in large quantity to propose a cheaper Price. I wish that for him .
I've recently been toying with the idea of choosing between a secondhand Husqvarna Nuda 900 or a new Ktm 690 smcr both around the 9k mark but realistically 11k after you add your own bits. finding an extra 8k is a bit of a milestone, perhaps 2022 after I spend the rest of this year treating the wife. :)
I'm curious, isn't a husqy 500 basically a racing engine ? Isn't the maintenance a nightmare for city use ?
Hmm, looking at 9:39 I dont think that engine is the 500 cc single cylinder that KTM EXC and Husq FE used. Since it got 2 exhaust channel pipes then that means it is a twin cylinder engine. Maybe they got it from Husq Nuda.

For $20k you could get a top of the line MX bike with all the best components and make it look like this one, although I can see why someone would pay for the style. They have cool components but I really hope the motor is fun+durable, otherwise they won't sell too many of these. I hate to see a new manufacturer enter the market only to be beat due to poor engine performance, however, looking at how the man doesn't go in detail about engine specs, the odds are not in their favor... SO CLOSE to being the actual brand we've always wanted. This looks like another ARCH brand except they skimped on using well-proven engines in order for the price range to be somewhat competitive. I'm sure a lot of people will buy them, just not sure for how long.
looks like they bought a Husqvarna with half the money nd put on custom parts with the other half. That's how you can get in plated. Nice bike though.

Ah London failed to go into full lockdown despite being a main travel hub, and Manchester going into Tier 4...it wasn’t the new strain that caused the issues we now face it was the government not locking down LONDON!!

When can we get a new bike shed video?
It’s been difficult as we’ve been in lockdown and furloughed. We’ve also had no people visit as we’ve been closed. We’re working on more in the next few months. Do follow out Instagram though too as some more content gets posted there also such as lives. We may start regulars rides as live videos where you can interact. That’s fun!

I had to search five websites to answer the question. None of DAB’s pages mentions the engine as far as I can tell, leading me to believe these guys are more about style than functionality.
Anyway, it’s apparently the 500cc DOHC single-cylinder engine from the Husqvarna 510.
My F650GS Dakar special may not end up as sexy as this, but I will still have £13,000 left to date French girls...!🧐😎😜
a full walk around would have been nice? I like to lights and indicators working. number plate under the seat would be another design to be added.
