    I love your videos! The only thing I don't like about this one is writing 2(pi)(n) without writing that n is an integer.

    Hi I have a question, for these problems, do we not care about the cosine inverse range restrictions? Or do the restrictions for the inverse functions only get considered when we find the angle using the inverse operations (i.e. sin^-1, cos^-1, tan^-1, etc...)?

    Hi,
    Given cosx=0 and asked to find all solutions, is it correct to say,
    pi/2 + kpi where k is a integer.
    I keep seeing solutions of pi/2 + 2kpi and 3pi/2 + 2kpi...
    However isn't my solution of pi/2 +kpi still going to find all solutions where cosx=0..?

    When do you not use a general solution??
    My math teacher hasn’t explained very well. Please let me know! Thanks 😊
    Update: I forgot that the teacher will give specifics on what he wants for an answer. Never mind!

    • @justsomeamateur2126
      @justsomeamateur2126 2 года назад +1

      if you are given a domain restriction then you would not use a general solution. But when a domain restriction is not given then a domain of -infinity,+infinity is assumed and from there you write the general equation. That's what my math teacher taught me.

      @@justsomeamateur2126 If domain restrictions are given then there we have to find principal solution!!
