    A dr. suggested that it wd be helpful to consume green juices or other raw juices first to reduce the strain on your digestive system and help heal it. Then, add in raw foods that are not juiced bit by bit. Pre/probiotics may help, but it's hard to find a brand that's truly "active" and works.

    Even raw salad and fruits are creating inflammation and pain next day. What to do in this case? Please guide.

    • @Misanthrope144
      @Misanthrope144 Год назад

      Fruit and salad do not cause inflammation. You have pathogens inside of you and when you eat food that heal you like fruit and leafy greens they are killing the pathogens which cause temporary symptoms.

      Karamjit--I am sorry to hear you are suffering. Every person's gut microbiome is unique to their biology, current health, diet/nutrition, etc; however there are many WFPB foods that have been proven to help heal sick guts. Seven years ago when I first became WFPB vegan, I did raw hypernourishment for @ 3 months because I had just been diagnosed with SIBO and an autoimmune disorder. I have been negative for any autoimmune disorders and for SIBO for 6.5 years now thanks to following a WFPB vegan diet that includes a daily green smoothie and other foods, spices, herbs, etc that help me to maintain gut and immune health, and heal my body at times when I have become ill with a virus or such. Initially, my gut was reactive to large amounts of raw fruits and vegetables. I ate a diet that consisted of different green smoothies (which are very easy to digest and do not remove all the important fiber that juicing removes); and ate small raw salads and small portions of raw veggies at intervals throughout the day. After a month or so, I added in cooked, blended vegetable soups that were nutrient dense and get rid of things like SIBO, Candida, etc. but still easy to digest. Every gut heals at it's own pace and you sound like you are mindful of how your body feels and reacts to different foods, which is a good start to healing. Dr. Goldner's website ( www.goodbyelupus.com/?s2-ssl=yes ) has more information and links about her specific protocol and recipes for smoothies you can try. She also has a couple books that are helpful resources to utilize on your own time. Dr. Goldner spoke about gut health and hypernourishment in one of the whole food plant based nutrition courses I took through Cornell U. Her smoothie recipes are simple, easy to find ingredients for, and very rich in nutrients that help heal your gut microbiome and decrease/alleviate inflammation that damages your gut, etc. I wish you well on your journey to healing and wellness.

    Humans are more similar to primates which are frugivores. Herbivores have other Enzymes and a different digestive system to process raw vegetable matter
    Tender leafy greens are great and quite easy to digest

    • @hoon_sol
      @hoon_sol Год назад +1

      The term "herbivore" applies to any animal which relies on plant-based food of any kind. So while humans are indeed frugivores, that's just a subset of herbivores, the two are not mutually exclusive at all. Animals that are more graminivorous (grass-eating) or folivorous (leaf-eating) do tend to have somewhat different digestive systems, but not always.

But your protocol made me really unwell. I stuck with it for over a month getting more and more unwell. Could MCAS be the problem? Recently diagnosed with it.

    • @paperfrost

      If you have MCAS, you may be dealing with chronic hypervitaminosis A. Changing your diet dramatically in that case can bring on brutal detox symptoms. Do a web search for Grant Genereux and read his free ebooks to decide if his hypothesis might apply to your case!

    I think that's the vicious circle of vegan diet - body doesn't like it but vegan thinks that's the "healing process" or "detoxification process" or something like that and suffer and suffer and his/her gut is sicker and sicker... If we have the digestive tracts of herbivores, vegan cannot have this problems, because we were used to digest (raw) vegetables. But - what a shock! - evolved from probably frugivores to scavengers (or carnivores) and therefore our gut is not adapted to eat only plants anymore...

      @@MF2_ETaube I agree with some of the things she talks about but there is plenty of evidence to indicate we aren't vegans or optimally vegan. My biggest takeaway from her research is to eat lots of vegetables which will promote great gut bacteria. But to simply say that eggs, meat, and dairy are all toxic and disease causing to the body is absolutely false. I don't believe in any diet dogma so I have no camp in the vegan side or carnivore side. All of these "experts" just see things in black and white and that just isn't the case.
