Rodriguez is currently projected for around 140-150 IP, gonna be super hard for him to win unless he throws 170-180 and is also one of the best pitchers in the league. Theres 0 orioles hate

Many people don't know Andrew Bailey is Boston's pitching coach, the same guy who helped turn Kevin Gausman into a monster, kept Carlos Rodon as a monster, and turned Logan Webb into a monster. I fully believe Brayan Bello, while he might not contend for the Cy Young this year, is going to turn a lot of heads and reach ace status.
Logan Gilbert absolutely is due for a bounce back season and if the new splitter grip does what it should he has a legitimate chance to compete for the Cy even being on the same staff as 2 other Cy Young favorites Also, Tarik Skubal odds right now on FanDuel are +1200 not +2000
What about it? Rodon can totally do it. He pitched to a 2.88 ERA in 2022 and had 236 strikeouts that year. The only thing I worry about is the innings pitched.
I’ve liked Gilly the squid since day 1 with mariners. Definitely a dark horse. Castillo is still the ace but if Gilly can add some more depth in his repertoire dude is going to be hard to hit against once again.
Tylor Megill has the potential? Only if he finds himself and figures out what type of pitcher he can be. If he figures it out early he can be lights out dominant pitcher... I think it’s more of a confidence thing, IMO?!?
Bryan Bello.. ?? I think he is has a better shot than Rodon.. Bello is good, he shown what he can do. Yeah he is a dark dark horse in the league but. I think he could get in convos.
@@Noseyy As a White Sox fan, I'd say two things about Carlos Rodon. First, never count on him. Second, never count him out. He's seemed to be cooked more times than potatoes. This probably won't last. Sometime this year, when he's painting the black with upper 90's fastballs, and making hitters look helpless with sharp sliders...that probably won't last either. Just the way it goes with him.
@@lesalbro8880 Out of curiosity, who would you trust to have the better year... Rodon or Cease? And what are your predictions (just for fun obviously).
@@SnipeyGamingI am not making excuses for him because he was absolutely terrible last season, but Rodon just needs to build his arm up and have a complete/healthy spring training. He can be judged on his stat line after that.
Not sure why Tarik, a dude that anybody who knows ball knows is a top 3-5 Cy contender is a "dark horse". Also people have been picking Peralta every year to win the Cy so he isn't much of a dark horse either
“This is why Pete Alonso will win Cy Young”

He’s right
And MVP
Lindor
Jeff McNeil is always an underdog like Fr Fr he had a 0.00 era Blake snell stole that from him
@@andreslovesbaseballand he had no hits off him 💀💀💀
Hyped to see my boy Tarik on your radar
You can hear the joy in Marc’s voice not having to say “the Rangers’ Jacob DeGrom is the favourite for the Cy Young”
Kinda surprised to not see Grayson Rodriguez on the list, he's definitely gonna be in the conversation
Any Oriole doesn't get mentioned in these ranking by Marc!

@@GiraffeNeckMarc Fair enough, but I do think that he'll suprise

Ok same joke but I thought he was going to have Brandon Nimmo on the list. Dude loves Nimmo.
Thanks for the Musgrove love!
I'm so glad Zach Eflin just got some respect he was so underrated
Every time he could add a clip of a guardian striking out he would
Great stuff. Had Nola last year at 18/1 He's got a real shot expecting some positive regression.
Ace of the Detroit Tigers Tarik Skubal
Brayan Bello gonna shock some people this year
Many people don't know Andrew Bailey is Boston's pitching coach, the same guy who helped turn Kevin Gausman into a monster, kept Carlos Rodon as a monster, and turned Logan Webb into a monster. GiraffeNeckMark can you please do a Immaculate Grid Baseball video
Bello on the redsox
Logan Gilbert absolutely is due for a bounce back season and if the new splitter grip does what it should he has a legitimate chance to compete for the Cy even being on the same staff as 2 other Cy Young favorites
Also, Tarik Skubal odds right now on FanDuel are +1200 not +2000
I wanted to see Eury Perez on this list. He would’ve been a fun pick
Yeah about Rodon....
I'm saying he's cooked lmao and so are the yankees
What about it? Rodon can totally do it. He pitched to a 2.88 ERA in 2022 and had 236 strikeouts that year. The only thing I worry about is the innings pitched.
He has no velocity on his fastball, that’s a horrible sign
that 2.88 ERA season will be his peak. He did that on a contract year at age 29 in a very pitcher friendly park.@@NickAlbano253
Chris sale +4000.
That’s why Brandon Nimmo will win the Cy Young
Love the Nick Lodolo pick, extremely underrated pitcher imo
I’ve liked Gilly the squid since day 1 with mariners. Definitely a dark horse. Castillo is still the ace but if Gilly can add some more depth in his repertoire dude is going to be hard to hit against once again.
Rodon on the thumbnail is elite trolling.
I thought that was Nestor Cortez.
i love this guys vids
Nola and musgrove dark horses?
And this is why Kyle Gibson has a good shot at taking the NL Cy Young
Chris Fetter has been such a good pitching coach for Detroit, if Skubal can stay healthy he'll be dangerous.
Tylor Megill has the potential? Only if he finds himself and figures out what type of pitcher he can be. If he figures it out early he can be lights out dominant pitcher... I think it’s more of a confidence thing, IMO?!?
I think Tyler glasnow has the chance to win the Cy Young if the can pinch at least 170 innings
Did Skubal only pitch against the Royals and As last year?
Stop, saying, percentile bro… What are the staff cast that!?!?!?
…what?
"And thats why Sean Manea is the most underrated cy young contender this year"
Yea
I actually like him. He always gave us fit when we faced him over here in the AL west. He’s tough.
Marc, what about Cylor Megill dude?
Sonny Gray is wild considering he’s out for the beginning of the season
I still think Rodon had a crazy 2 year run but overall that he’s a mid pitcher
I have better odds to win CY Young than Rodon and that’s coming from a Yankees fan. Have zero faith in what I’ve seen last year and so far in spring.
Bryan Bello.. ?? I think he is has a better shot than Rodon.. Bello is good, he shown what he can do. Yeah he is a dark dark horse in the league but. I think he could get in convos.
I didn't think Skubal would be +2000
Rodon also added a cutter that looked decent so far
he got lit up in 2 outings in ST, velocity still down substantially he's cooked unless he finds a genie in a bottle

Jose Quintana

Tarik is nasty 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
As a Yankees fan, I have 0 hope in Rodon. Guy has been absolutely nothing but horrible and I expect it to stay that way.
I expect a bounce back this year, but cy young contender hell nah

how are these the same old picks? I havent done this video in years
