Thank you Debo,I truly enjoy your channel and Lear something on each of your videos..Only wish I had as many places to fish as you seem to stay safe and again thank you...
Whenever I can't go fishing I watch your videos and it just drives me crazy watching you catch fish, now fishing is gonna be on my brain until I get to go looks like ya had a great day
Hi, Debo's. From The Hoosier land. Hillers and I Went fishing Sunday Morning to some of my favorite Retention Ponds. Topwaters are King again. Buzzbaits, Whopper Ploppers and Frogs. Forgot and left my fishing bag. At home.HAD some extra lures but not the ones had prepared to fish with. Just the ones I tied on the night before. Still produced! One 2 pounder but others Dink's. Hillers and I have had a great fishing season so far. But the giants have avoided us like the Plague. Trying the Wacky rig Senko. But nothing! Keep up the great video's. Look forward to them. It's the talk at lunch at work. Shawn
Maybe a bobber stop could help with that springer worm going way above the hook? Love these little ponds! Recently explored what looks like some old stone or dirt quarrys, one of them has about a billion 1/2-1lb bass. Theres a big one in there somewhere, it's fun though! It doesn't have a name, so I named it Dink Lake 👊
When I back the boat down the ramp, I remember your vids and end up bank feeshin for an hour and a half or until another boater shows up, whichever comes first
Can you use a wacky rig O-ring instead on that spring worm? Would that eliminate the problem of feeding the hook through the spring? Or is the bait of too small a diameter for any of the standard O-rings ?
Deebo the only con ive found with those little winn grips you put on the handles is that it takes away some of the sensitivity in the handle...ive noticed i cant feel bites when i use those grips thru the handles
I enjoy your vids my man. I'm glad you fish from the bank cause most youtubers do it from boats I dont personally own a boat, so its nice to be able to relate to that. Keep up the solid work my man..
Debo, I too share your love of the frog. I only started throwing it this year and I am super thankful I did. I have used the River2Sea 55 and 65. All I can say, it is lethal and has taken some days where nothing was working and made them worth while.
DEBO'S Fishing unfortunately, they go deep and get sluggish during the winter. I wish I could catch them all year. It’s tough from the bank during the winter. Now that I have a kayak, I’ll have to try getting out this winter
All the braid I've tried so far im not to happy with. Idk if it makes a difference but it seems to fade pretty fast. I am fishing brackish water mostly so idk if that matters. 🎣🇺🇸🐟
Hey man, anytime you want to fish there again let me know!!!! Hopefully next time we can get Randizzle there too. When we are done, we can come back to the bait cave and make some!!!!
@@DEBOSFishing we went on Instagram live tonight.... we had quite a few comments wondering when we are going to have "debo" on!!! Its super fun!!!! People are huge about you and marling!!!!!
I can certainly understand your dink catching strategies. It a whole lot better getting hit by a dink than a 4 or 5 pounder in the right strawberry!! :)
Dude...they were biting on everything👍. I could use a day like that about now. Got me thinking about picking up,some of those springer worms. O-rings should fix any problems with that spring vs hook deal. Hadn’t thought about them being like a weighted wacky rig without adding a sinker or weighted hook. Gonna give it a try. Great vid!!!
Always a good video to watch, especially today a few bigger ones. I really like how you started showing the close up topwater strikes, how does it get any better than that?
Bass Pro Stick-O. They have great colors, great action, and they last longer than any other stick baits. Senkos are great, but they will rip if a fish even looks at it lol. 2nd best would be Yum Dinger imo.
I'd love to see your review on the new model of Shimano's Zodias rods. I'm going to buy a few of them myself but it would be cool to hear your opinion on them.
Advice please: I just got back into fishing after about 20 years a few months ago. Took my kids, they now love it. We live by a large resovoir. We have all spinning rods. Drop shot and fluke are big on that fishery. The problem...my son got bit HARD by the fishing bug. He asked for a baitcaster so en route are a Dobyns Fury 7' MH Fast and a Lew's Speed Spool LFS. I've no experience with baitcasters...should I put 15# fluorocarbon or 40# braid with 15# fluorocarbon leader? I am understanding you don't want that double uni going through the eyelets. I want him to fish crankbaits, spinnerbaits, whopper ploppers,...so what should I load the reel up with? Thanks!
Hey! I’m not DEBO but I would definitely load it with the braid. You should buy 3 different types of leader. A light fluorocarbon 6-8 lb leader line for finesse applications, a 10-12 for most types of fishing and a 15 lb for jig and heavy cover flipping. Braid to leader is so versatile in the way that you can change your leader depending on what type of fishing you are doing ! all you need to learn is how to tie the Alberto knot, it will connect the braid to the leader. It is very easy with a few attempts, youtube will help. Loading a casting reel with flurocarbon for a new casting fisherman can be a NIGHTMARE. Heavy braid will be so much easier to pick out. Hope this helps, just my 2 cents 😁
I'm no expertbut I personally prefer braid to leader because of its versatility. I don't have a huge collection of rods and reels so having a combo that can throw multiple different types and styles of lures is important to me. Mine is lined with 50lb braid that I can use to throw frogs and other topwater baits. Then if I want to throw a jig, texas rig or moving bait (chatterbait, crankbait, spinnerbait) I can just tie on a 6ft fluorocarbon leader. Also with braid you don't have to replace your line as frequently like with fluro or mono because it doesn't retain line memory. So in the long run you'll be saving $$ because fluro isn't cheap.
@@shadywalker4624 thank you so much! Ok...now the leader...I saw a video where a guy spooled half his caster with braid and the other half flourocarbon so he never hits the knot. Is that correct or is it about 10' of flourocarbon?
Mike C hey mike , sorry for the late response. I have never leader with that much flurocarbon, I would say would lead to reduced sensitivity to the braid. For my go to I usually will do two of both my arm lengths for my leader. My rod has micro guides and it casts just fine, don’t worry about it. Make sure you educate your son on the “Alberto knot” it is in my opinion the best and easiest braid to leader knot known! I’m sure he is going to have a blast with that setup, your and awesome father. Happy fishing !!

Thank's Debo👍if you ever need a faster rate of fall but don't have a weighted Wacky try a small Split shot just above the hook
Yeah, works great in a pinch. Can even put a tiny bullet weight above the hook

I don't fish the wacky worm much but that springer worm looks interesting.
Nice little challenge with The Fairy Stick.
I run a spinner bait trailer keeper up my hook and it keeps the worm from sliding over the eye of the hook.
The spring r worm from manns is awsome has the best action I got it like 6 months ago great worm

Just some good old fashioned frogging 😀
Doesn't get any better than that!
Hey debo why dont u use o rings to hold ur hook on the springer worm? It'll help not tear up the baits
It's too thin, moved around when I tried it the first time
I wonder if you could use the decoy versatile keeper on your hook to prevent the springr worm from sliding up over the knot
Jackpot Day💯 hope there are more to come!
Dude nothing beats a frog bite!

Good stuff on the frog bites! 🐸
Maybe try some mono. The stretch will allow the fish to chomp down on it. It’s old school but it still works!

That's funny you mentioned the red fin. I learned yesterday that red fins mean the fish has been over stressed.
I wonder how that buzz toad would do with a trailer treble, or j hook fed on the back of it to improve the hookup?
I am thinking about get a Shimano slx dc and I was wondering if I should get the Hight gear reel or the 7:2:1
Depends what you're using it for?
