I think people always get caught up in Kurt's mystique, personality and voice while missing out on what a brilliantly inventive guitar player he was. Screaming and shredding at the same time, genius. Great playing nomaSkills!
It's not exatcly shredding I personley put his guitar style along with syd Barrett john Lennon and Neil young not tencical but the way the fuck around with it was awsome
Yeah, he didn't know much about guitar or have a lot of skill, actually, but it's not all that easy to sing and play at the same time and he could do that really well. None of the tricky stuff is on this album, though. Bleach and Nevermind have some real mindfucking riffs to try to play while singing at the same time.
He also was great at making textures. Most people don't realize but underneath his distortion are little sounds and hidden details that most people never pay attention to. he was like a painter with his guitar
I think it is amazing how Kurt managed to play his guitar parts and sing that well at the same time (which can be quite hard in a lot of songs). People always say "Nirvana songs are not hard to play", well he might not have used the craziest guitar techniques, but try singing, playing, sounding good, doing a great show, and keeping the rhythm at the same time. Anybody can sit in his bedroom and play some riffs.

Incredible job. Anytime that there's singing, Kurt had to play guitar at the same time.He wasn't known for his virtuosity, but he was a virtuoso at playing complicated and odd riffs while singing at the same time.
remember when I was 20 - 21 years old, watching this video and playing along and learning the chords of the songs. Kurt is such an inspiring guitarist. His playing is like an explosion. Even he didn't knew what the fuck he was playing in terms of notes and all this technical stuff, he achieved more with his playing style, then all this highly skilled guitar player, that consider them self as "pro" players. As a musician now myself (turned 26), I recognize how deep kurt influenced me in terms of guitar playing and Melodie. Thanks sir for this nice songs compilation!
What I really loved about this is that even though Kurt's guitar parts can be simple at times, possibly even easy to play for technically advanced players, a large percentage of it is phrasing and energy and you really nailed it.
Dude you are absolutely incredible.. I've watched a few of your full album run-throughs & i can only say i wish i knew a local guitarist i could jam! with that plays like you & has your taste.. fuckin awesome man!
Hell yeah man great job! You do the songs justice by playing them with that intensity. They just don't sound right unless they are played with some anger. Great job!
Just stopped by to say, you’re literally the only fucking guy on RUclips that got the guitar right on Radio friendly unit shifter. Not even joking. Good fucking job, start to finish. Great cover, if a fantastic album.
Hey man! Congrats, I was trying to study for my exams and i had the idea to listen In Utero Full album, so your video appeared and i stayed watching the whole performance and at the end I didn't study!! So, it was a nice work from your end and a good musical experience for me. All those songs of this album reminds me the teenage high school years. Congrats again and greetings from Chile!
nomakills You fucking rock man, you killed on this entire album on the guitar.. I still miss Kurt Cobain and Nirvana and I wonder what Nirvana would sound like today if Kurt was still alive and Courtney was the one who killed herself because Kurt would have successfully have gotten his divorce from her and and she would have already shot up her half lol... My guess is Nirvana would sound like Seether today if Kurt was still alive. P.S. Why would a person who committed suicide need a plane ticket and 3 shells in a shotgun that was purchased on March 30th 1994?
One of the few guys on RUclips that plays this album as close to perfect as possible. You must have the tablature book. For Serve the Servants, I noticed you do the slide from F# to G which most covers fail to do. Oops, I spoke too soon. You need to bar the entire 4th fret for C# during the chorus, adding that G# note on the low E to the C# chord.
hey im a really big fan of your videos and i love your bands material i myself am in a band!! were touring around long island, new york id love to talk to you and maybe have a beer someday hmu !!
Et tu as de tres joli instruments. J'ai hate de voir la suite de tes videos... You Rock Man!!!
You should try playing without an audible background track so we can hear your guitar better. Maybe use headphones to hear the songs? Great covers though, thanks!
This is my favorite album style that Nirvana did. Nice vid man, it would be a dream to play a whole album like this. I wish you well Edit: wow! You killed it 😎 damn
Love it. For real, I'm amazed at how you just play all of these just like that with no kind of interruption. You're amazing. Hey you should one day watch my Nirvana covers :D
Holy crap... I'll have to remember to come back and watch the whole thing! It's great getting to see how to play the whole album just like this! Video "lessons" are too slow, watching Nirvana live doesn't really help since it isn't focusing on guitar the whole time (obviously), you never know whether online tabs are right, and sheet music is just expensive! I'd say this is the easiest way to learn all the songs, also it's incredible how it just goes from song to song and the details are all the
Your awesome brother! I love Nirvana, and seeing these made me wanna learn all the songs I don't know myself yet. I'm slim on equipment, so I can't get all the same effects, but I still love to play along with what I have

Actually in the recording sessions of In Utero, they recorded the instruments first and then the vocals.
@@pabloconchetumare1753 true but he did play an acoustic while singing
For some strange reason I think you might like nirvana
😅

Probably why they had pat smear in the end
Slumber! It is pretty easy, i play his songs while singing them every fucking day in my room, literally.

The best nirvana album, love to see Kurts songwriting on the guitar, sooo freaking inspiring to a young musician like me
I love In Utero but it doesn’t even touch Nevermind.
@@jt519 heavily disagree
@@jt519 I also disagree. In Utero is WAY better than Nevermind. I loved it when it first come out, and it is amazing, but In Utero tops it.
Bro bleach is like 100x better
Poor Incesticide is always forgotten
This whole album looks incredibly fun to play
That distortion is so badass, i loved it especially during Rape Me. Your tone is awesome!
Incredible job. Anytime that there's singing, Kurt had to play guitar at the same time.He wasn't known for his virtuosity, but he was a virtuoso at playing complicated and odd riffs while singing at the same time.
Sliver
Yeah and Kurt is first and foremost a songwriter, and he didnt give a damn about virtuosity because all he was focused on was writing songs.
damn, dude, I could watch this shit for hours. Thank you so much for posting!!
Too bad it only last's 41:18
You are my inspiration

just so you know, you don't need a pedal for that effect. all you gotta do is bend the string up and down. tho this comment was 5 years ago..

This video landed you a subscriber! Great job, Its good to see more left handed guitarist \. I'm a lefty as well though I play bass guitar.
