My company uses GeoHECRAS and I desperately needed something to get started with 1D modeling. The series covers almost all the important points. Thank you so much for this!
Amazing videos, so detailed and step by step, I have been looking up tutorials on youtube, and most are just showoffs and lure you to their own 'courses', but yours is really genuine and the quality of your explanation is top notch, thanks very much and again great tutorial that you're willing to teach to your viewers! Hope to see more from your channel.
You can compute NS if you have two time series. if you know the observed elevations at cross-sections, you can compute NS separately, but not in HEC-RAS. if you are trying to assess the accuracy of inundation extent, then you need to use spatial indices such as C or F index. You can google and find more about these.
I can develop 1D model but my issue is I have a 30m DEM which is not sufficient for developing river geometry. How can I use this DEM to infer innundation by over topping at various cross sections?
You need better DEM. Look for papers (search for Merwade) from my group where we have developed methods and tools for creating river geometry where there is no data.

Your channel is brilliant! Thank you. Looking forward to the remaining videos.
Insightful. Most satisfying video for beginners using HECRAS. Please make video on 2D modelling
holy sheeshhhh.. you just did all of my upcoming master research, thanks for the help
from where can we get the terrain data?
can you please assist with the data you are using
Am a beginner am loving this
would you be covering 2D modelling in these videos?
as you said this module is for 1D
2D video will come at some point in the future!
Hello dear trainer, I would like to know how to bring out the performance coefficient (Nash...) in HECRAS?

Thank you thank you thank you!
Sir please make Video on 2D modelling.
Could you uploade the data?(DEM, Ras, etc)
The pdf document in the description has link to data. Use internet explorer to download the data.
Thank you!!!
How can I merge two terrains data in Geometry Editor?. I have 1 DEM with bathymetry and another DEM for Terrain. Could you help me?. Thanks
I have never done this inside RAS Mapper. I would moasic them in ArcGIS first and then use in HEC-RAS. Hope this helps!
in Rasmapper, when you select add new RAS terrain..you can add multiple elevation files and check merge terrain option on the window
Kindly include videos on coupled 1D/2D approaches using HEC-RAS
They will come eventually!
will come in the future
Hello, can i have your email plz
Great video thanks for your effort. can I have your Whatsapp or email to connect with you?.
