Thank you for your thoughtful and insightful reactions! Yes, she was 15 for both songs. This was her 2nd year on You Are Super - this was a "Champions" year with finalists from previous years. She won the previous year when she was 14.
The bald gentleman is Igor Krutoy who is a huge presence in contemporary Russian music. He's currently collaborating with Dimash. He heard her the previous year and was so impressed with her that he gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow so she could attend the equivalent of Julliard, where she is currently studying.
The next song you would enjoy would be Rechenka which she sang when she was 14. Diana has said that she doesn't want to just sing the words of a song, but wants to sing from inside the song, which you have commented on so well.
It is based on Russian folktales about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her deceased mother's blessing for her marriage.

Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning, she had speech problems and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talent was quickly recognized and the rest is history.
And sang Denier Danse when she was 14 in the competition. Another fabulous song by Diana.

The bald guy who was head bobbing is Igor Krutoy, a titan of Russian pop music, who has been a huge booster for Diana. He is a song writer and producer and executive. Her name is pronounced Dee-ah-nuh Ahn-ku-DEE-nuh-vuh,and boy oh boy she is amazing. Her version of Rag and Bone Man's song is much deeper than his original, another song which she makes her own. She did win this contest. She is a contralto, and certainly the youngest most people have ever heard.

Your pronunciation Ahn koo DEEN ova is correct. Ninety-nine percent of the other reactors get it wrong (Russian reactors do get it right because they know). I agree with you. It is her "voice" that is so captivating. And at the time, she was only fifteen years old.
Hi Super Diana Fan. There are a few reactors who just say Diana for fear of messing up her surname but there are lots more now saying correctly. Stay healthy.

She was 15 here. She has the rare contralto female voice that I find addicting and unforgettable. It's been said that her unusual larynx creates a sound with polyphonic overtones. One in 7billion. The bald headed guy is Igor Kotoy who is Diana's mentor. He is also guiding Dimash's career. Diana, as a true rare Dramatic Contralto, is becoming a National Treasure. Kotoy bought her and her adopted Mom a home in Moscow (I believe Moscow is correct), so that she is closer to her education and music. He also supports them as needed.

Hope you're feeling better. Diana's voice is so mesmerizing and you're right captivating. Her unique low tone voice is unbelievable. It just grabs you deep down with so much heart and soul you have to pay attention to her performance ! I would recommend her song "rechenka "which is a folklore song and it is absolutely trans-fixing. It's amazing how in Russia their voice contests are so well prepared and the imagery and background for the singer is just out of this world! We in North America don't do a great job of this! It is a Russian folklore song about an orphan bride who has no father or mother.
